He is a man with golf knowledge and a lot of integrity. Lessons with Sean have been a very positive experience. He is prompt and very patient in his teaching. Our teenage son decided he would like to try out for the HS golf team at orientation. With no golf experience, Sean took a 14 year old teen and helped him achieve his goal of making the team. I know his success is a direct reflection of the time spent with Sean. His attention to detail and communication are wonderful. He is pretty techy too and sends us video swings of our son so we can see the progress. Overall, a great golf coach and man! We still see Sean as much as possible for lessons to keep our sons form in line.

What I think is one of TR's best qualities is his ability to explain golf in so many different ways. He is constantly adapting to my individual understanding. It's a wonderful option when I'm limited on time but want a step above the driving range or the pitch and putt area at a course. The course itself is very basic. There are no sand traps and no water features. I didn't see a drink cart while I was out, but maybe that's only available during certain days or certain hours... you can grab a fresh drink in the clubhouse before or after you play, though. The bathrooms are slightly cleaner than the average public course. It's easy to make a reservation online and the prices are very fair for the market and overall experience. The only drawbacks for me are the background noise from the adjacent streets and the lack of overall aesthetics in terms of visual presentation. If you're looking for a laid back gold experience that won't break the bank or take too much of your day, this is your place. Don't expect anything fancy; expect to spend time outside and take a few mulligans. Golf as it was meant to be played

I really hate giving negative reviews. I thoroughly enjoy this driving range. The problem I have is…read morethe inconsistent hours they keep. You can come in on a Friday, and be told last large bucket sold at 815, and be done by 9pm. The very next day it is closed at 8 with no buckets sold. It is all over the place, and the time can swing by as much as an hour. I have started calling ahead to ask what time they sell their last large bucket. Even that isn't reliable, as I will come in and be told they are closing, and I have to tell the staff I had just called, and that was what I was told. When this occurs, the staff will often make you feel like the bad guy. I assume the people who come out to the range, come for certain reasons beyond just working on their game. Maybe it's therapeutic, or mental health reasons. I submit this review as this issue continues to exist. Keep to your Google hours, or post your time of selling certain sizes of buckets.

They were significantly slowing down the pace of play for everybody and the two groups behind us caught up to us. Also, that's something that should've been mentioned in the clubhouse before the round started. We paid good money to come play and not deal with this. A notice would've fixed the problem. After trying out multiple instructors in the Portland area (Redtail, Pumpkin Ridge, Rock Creek) and several others in the US (at least 50 hours of total instruction), Golftec stands out to me as one of the best setups for a golfer looking to improve. Michael's approach on the game is multifaceted, not just how best to swing a club. We go through swing mechanics on an indoor simulator and apply them during playing lessons on-course. Short-game and putting lessons have been the weakest part of my game, but now are a more confident part of my game. Instruction on strategy and course management has dramatically increased my percentage of hitting greens on approach shots. Michael's engineering background, his deep knowledge of the game, and his passion for instruction helped me better understand my golf game. I now am better equipped to self diagnose and fix day-to-day adjustments in my swing. The facility also allows for indoor practice on a simulator which is key for off-season improvement to ready for the new season. The video recording/playback in the practice sessions allows you to see whether or not the swing mechanics taught during lessons are being implemented during practice. This feature has increased the efficacy of my practice sessions in a way I couldn't have imagined previously. I can write another page worth of praise for Michael and Golftec, but it's just easier for you to try it yourself. Go in for a swing evaluation; it's $95 and it's likely you'll walk away from that session with actual solutions that work rather than YouTubing/Instagraming a fix that will cause more problems than it fixes.
