The hours here on Yelp says only open on Friday is totally wrong. We are here at the end of Sunday…read more5pm tee time and they are still open. Easy check in; $16 adults $6 kids $8 clubs rental $10 cart. Either you are new to golfing, know a little, want to get back on the green and keep it casual. This is the place. As of 2024 this place is so economical. Even better if you have kids to play with, or elderly parents to stroll on super soft greens just to exercise along while you swing a short-range 9 holes. It takes only about an hour. On a good day of Oregon like today September 15 it's truly a blast. Soak up the sun, get river breeze, being humans with real social. No judgements around. Couldn't get any better. Even our teenager loves it for his first 9 holes -either we are lucky parents or this place is really a magical. Bring your fizzy drink and finger food. No alcohol and tobacco since it's Children's Course (another name if you search on Google map). Oh the entrance is quite strange like you are going to apartment complex but you will see reserve parking for Campbell as soon as you get there. The whole place is super clean, including restroom. Scandinavian look building is updated. Staff is very kind. Please don't change a thing. Keep up good work! Thank you for being here for the children and any beginner alike golfers.

My coach, James is excellent. He understands the pace I can absorb and teaches me accordingly. He…read morehas helped me to improve my skills dramatically and I now can recognize when something has gone wrong with a shot. I am planning each shot with the expectation of performance that I have learned. This has been a great investment and I am thankful to have chosen James at GOLFTEC.

So, I came up from San Diego to the Portland area and realized that I was spoiled in SD. With rainy…read moreand cold days, I felt like I needed to find an indoor golf simulator to not lose my gains over the next 3 months. So, golftec was the first place I decided to give a try. Ironically none of their prices are posted on their website and its not posted for a reason. I showed up for a "evaluation" with the "best" instructor at golftec, Chris. Chris is more expensive and it baffled me why the evaluation cost more with Chris? Does the other instructors provide a lesser evaluation? Anywho he is $25 more just to come up with a plan. Roughly 30 mins of video recording and going over your swing. NOW here is the catch. Their goal is to make you invest in one of their packages. Two types, one with practice and one with just lessons. 15 session (30 mins lesson) packages for $1200 or 10 classes/3 months of video practice (90 mins a week) and 1 fitting session for $1200. Seems a bit much. My instructor back in SD who is a golf range top 50 elite master, SoCal PGA player development award, etc. Isn't nearly as expensive as golftec. Also you are swinging on a simulator. The package approach is to get you to sign up a chunk of your money without really having a feel for your instructor or learning on a simulator. Once you sign up, you are stuck. Also the $125 evaluation fee (in my case $150) is a way for you to commit to signing up with a plan. They try and nicely convince you to sign up for a plan while you are there. I took the time to do some more research and talk to my coach back home and was told golftec is too commercial and not worth the money (my coach says it's the worst). So, I decided to consider the evaluation fee a learning experience and not sign up and find another coach for lessons.
