One of the highlights was watching our meal being prepared right behind the counter. We saw the chef batter each piece of fish by hand before lowering it into the fryer, which made it clear everything was cooked fresh to order. We ordered both the cod and the halibut. I preferred the cod for its milder, delicate flavor, while my husband enjoyed the halibut's richer, more pronounced taste. Both were perfectly cooked with light, crispy batter and flaky fish inside. If you're looking for excellent, freshly prepared fish and chips without the fuss, The Laughing Halibut is absolutely worth a visit. We'd happily come back.
