We moved into a new home with a desert landscape and immediately knew we wanted a more kid-friendly yard. After getting a few quotes, we went with Salinas Landscaping, who transformed our front and back yard into a lush, green oasis in no time! They also installed a new sprinkler system that works great. It has Bluetooth and is so easy to operate! Two months in, the grass is still thriving and looks as beautiful as the day it was installed. They paid close attention to every detail, from soil preparation to selecting the best grass for our climate, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The team was professional, timely, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring everything turned out perfectly. If you're looking for reliable, skilled landscapers who will go above and beyond, we highly recommend them! read more

I've used Saul and his company for tree trimming, sprinkler replacement, hillside planting, planter clean out. They have always done a great job. Saul himself is incredibly hard working AND polite. Three different houses, always excellent work. read more

Highly recommend Salinas Landscaping. We contacted Saul after seeing him working on our neighbor's front yard. We originally were thinking of going back to grass but Saul "suggested we go with turf as it would cost about the same. Wow I can't believe how efficient this team is! We have a 1/3rd acre of lots of tree, plants, and water features and they cleaned up everything great. They cleaned up our trees, palm trees, loads of plants, and even removed a few big plants we didn't want anymore. Extremely kind and professional crew. The quotation was no thrills easy and he walked every bit of my property to make sure it was done right. They even swept, hosed down, and cleaned out my pool where leaves had gotten into. Above and beyond service! read more

I don't know how others give 5 star rating for this unprofessional service. We are using their gardening service two time per month. But when we request fixing or replacing gardening parts such as sprinkler or sprinkler timer, Salinas Landscaping is impossible to get in touch. They never respond to customers call or text. I literally requested service hundreds times. And finally got a text message said will fix sprinkler, But no show. So I tried to contact them again and again and again...seriously considering changing gardening service. AND THIS IS NOT A FIRST TIME! read more

Trees overgrown? Better Call Saul. Called Saul to trim trees away from my roof and eves. He showed up on time for the quote, gave me a good price, and did the work the very next day. They did an excellent job with my backyard, trimming all the trees, removing tree roots. They followed instructions that were agreed upon in the contract. I was able to provide feedback during the work and they were kind enough to take care of an extra tree without charging me more. All in all very good experience and will rely on them again when needed. read more

First of all I don't write many reviews however because of the amazing job performed by Salinas Construction and Landscaping, I felt I had to write this one. Salinas C and L had been our gardeners for over 10 years and had always done a pristine job on our front and backyards. After deciding on a backyard transformation, we were very meticulously picky on who was going to perform the upgrades. After many months of researching and asking questions with other companie, we spoke with Hugo and Pedro from Salinas Construction and Landscaping and decided to go with them because of their professionalism, courtesy and many decades of landscaping knowledge. They got involved with the design of the backyard project and after completion, we were amazed on the cleanliness and professional looking hardscape they had accomplished! They installed synthetic turf, repaired all drainage systems, replaced existing water system into a drip system, installed decorative gravel, landscape lighting, pavers, California native plants and also painted and repaired the mow stripping. ( see photos ). After the amazing job performed by them, we decided to hire them for the front yard. My wife and l are extremely satisfied and are in awe with the amazing job performed by Salinas Construction. They turned our front yard into a beautiful and professional transformation with synthetic turf, decorative gravel, succulent plants, replaced drainage, replaced water sprinkler system into a drip system, added professional lighting system, they even did welding and constructed a gorgeous looking gate to our backyard. (See photos) They deserve a 5 star and if I can, give them more because of the amazing job well done! Salinas Construction and Landscaping exemplified professionalism in the backyard and front yard projects from start to finish. They displayed knowledge, courtesy, reliability, and went above and beyond in all their work! read more

I needed a revamping of my backyard and called Salinas Landscaping. Saul came out and provided a very fair estimate and some of the best ideas I've heard for my small backyard. His sense of balance and scale are spot on. We needed not only planting material but lighting and irrigation as well, Saul handled all of that with professionalism and expertise. My irrigation needs were unusual since I just erected a vertical plant wall and we needed to add another line and bring the drip system up the trellis to reach the top of the plant wall. Saul understood what was needed and quickly added the line and figured out the correct amount of water needed to hit all 48 planting trays in the wall. Salinas Landscaping would be my go-to company for all things related to my garden. read more

Last week (June 2020), Hugo and his team did an excellent job in rerouting my landscape plumbing for flowers, added new lines, fixed several sprinkler heads, reprogramed my sprinkler system and other valve/plumbing. His team removed all the old grass and added new sod. See images below. It should be noted that before Hugo started work, he drove to my house on the weekend and spent about 20-30 min making measurements, testing my sprinkler system, pressure, coverage etc.. This is one of the reasons why I hired him. Bottom line: Hugo and his Salinas team were on-time, on budget, honest, hardworking and got the job done. The sprinkler system works great, the lawn is perfect with no issues. Hugo and his team are based in Anaheim area, but traveled to northern LA/Pasadena area to work on my house. So if you're contemplating who to hire, I would highlighly recommend these guys. They are professional landscapers that care about the work they do for your landscaping job. So my advise is to stop waisting your time randomly looking at other Yelp reviews and call Salinas Construction and Landscaping. THEY DID AN AMAZING JOB for me in the Highland Park area. My complete landscaping job was completed on time and on budget. See images below of my recent job in the front yard. Alan from Highland Park read more

Do not trust this guy. Promised that there is a 3 month warranty on his work but once he is done and has his money, he avoids your calls. Sprinkler system had multiple leaks, joints on pipes keeps coming off. New sod that was put in had multiple dead areas. When I finally got a hold of him, he said he'll come and replace it but was a no show on the day of the appointment and started to ignore my calls. On top of all of that his worker buried my water meter. See pictures attached. read more

We are extremely happy with our new backyard! Saul and his team helped us make our vision come alive. Our yard was dirt and gravel. They installed turf, put in a new cement patio, and custom-made pavers. Our backyard is now a clean, modern, and fun area for our family to hang out. Also, we had a difficult HOA and Saul & his team were patient when working with the HOA. We are very thankful for their hard work, attention to detail, and professional attitude. We will definitely use them again in the future! read more

Salinas Construction did a fantastic job on our yard! They came out twice to discuss ideas and throw around some numbers. We decided to go with concrete stamping and boarders for existing beds. They also trimmed our Palo Verde tree and cleaned up our much neglected garden beds. The job was done in 3 days!!! The crew was on time and worked quickly and efficiently! Very professional, complete with proper PPE protection for covid. We are now hoping to get our windows installed by Salinas. I highly recommend! read more

Salinas Landscaping - Patio removal - Landscaping Near Me

This review is not based on their price or quality of work. The gal seemed nice on the phone and set an appointment for Pedro to come out to my place and come up with an estimate for some work on my back patio. Even though I reminded Pedro via text of our appointment and even sent another reminder on the day we were to met. Pedro didn't show up to the appointment. I texted and even called after waiting for 15 mins late. No return call or text to reschedule happened. Honestly, I don't enjoy writing these sort of reviews even more do I not enjoy wasting my time. This sort of lack of consideration attitude of is seeping more and more into these construction industries. If someone can't even show up for and estimate how can you count on them to get the job done on time or to scope. Super disappointed! I will take my business elsewhere and wish you luck if you use this unreliable company. read more

Flaky and non-responsive. Clearly doesn't take communication seriously or making sales too seriously. Received a quote from this team a year ago and got a decent quote and had a good vibe. We decided to go with another company for financial reasons at the time, but I always remember the first good impression. Contacted them a year later with interest to do another project, they responded right away to schedule a time. When that time came, they didn't show. Gave them another opportunity to schedule, and once again, they didn't show or respond. Gave them from April to August to follow up or give me some sort of proper response. Nothing. They were fine upon first impression, but digging deeper, it's clear they have a lot to work on with their communication and taking potential clients seriously. If they were to follow up, they may have gotten my business for a large front and back yard. However, if this is the communication with ME reaching out to THEM trying to get the project even STARTED? I can't imagine if I needed to follow up about the progression of a project and them being non-responsive. I can't deal with unreliability. read more

They were timely, gave me a fair price, patio came out great, they also made good suggestions for aesthetic improvements that made additional differences - such as painting the wall after removing ivy. These guys are as honest and good as they come. Before I installed sod I asked Saul for a sprinkler repair/install quote. It was more expensive than I expected so I only did the sprinklers in the front yard. REGRETTTT! Four weeks of hand watering the backyard and I'm over it! I just booked them to repair the back sprinklers too lol They've really been so cool. I've had all sorts of problems from leveling the yard to weeds to how-much-do-i-water-this? to what-are-these-spots? and Saul has helped me out with all of it. One last thing: I really appreciate that they text. It's easy to shoot them a question or book them for a service or send an address. I never thought I'd be so passionate about sprinklers but these guys are so good I'm writing a yelp review LOL give them a try! read more

I'm sure anyone who is reading this would agree that it's really hard finding someone you could really trust and depend on for small and big jobs around the house. I've hired so many people in the past to do projects and each time, I've had one or two negative experiences. We interviewed 4 companies and if you asked me why I went with Pedro and his brothers, I would have to say instinct, and I'm glad we did. He didn't come in with the cheapest bid, but his estimate wasn't unreasonable either. In fact, it was fair and well aligned with what he had envisioned and mapped out with his plans for my yard. We chose his company for a lot of reasons- we could tell right off he was very experienced, knowledgeable and gave out really good advice. But I think what stood out the most, is his honesty, his easy to talk to demeanor and his genuine love for his craft. Whatever problems arose (which happens in any construction) he never bothered us for it or never added cost like some companies have done in the past. They're just good people; what family owned businesses should model to be. It's 3 brothers and the same people all the time coming to the house, which i appreciate bc I always felt safe. Strangers always make me a lil uneasy, so having the same familiar faces helped. Everyday they worked, I noticed and appreciated the little and big things like how they never hurried to finish or cut corners as they were always examining everything they did. I love that they didn't let projects sit as I hate the messy parts of any construction. They came when they said they would come. They did our entire front yard- masonry/concrete, sprinklers, lighting, digging up big tree and planting our new plants. We were extremely satisfied that we decided to trust them with another big project in our backyard- replacing damage cement near the pool and digging up the tree that caused the damage. It is really a relief to finally find a company that we can depend on to do repairs and home improvement. I hope this helps anyone who is reading this when I say, Salinas Construction is a name you can trust and you'll never have a single complaint about the EXCELLENT work they provide. read more
