A few years ago I used Pro Solutions and Jerry came out for a water pressure issue that impacted our sinks and shower. Jerry was thoughtful and a good communicator on the issue. He fixed the issue immediately and that experience stuck with us. Fast forward to this week, we used them again. Thankfully, no emergencies but I had one toilet needing a tweak and needed hardware changed in one of my bathrooms for the shower and sink that was long overdue. Even though my request wasn't an emergency, Jerry offered to come out within hours of my request to fix everything and was communicative even late into the night (when my toilet started acting up so I frantically messaged them) talk about stellar availability and service. Next day I had Jerry at my door, he was punctual, professional and did a great job of explaining everything so that I could understand what needed to be done, the pricing, and options for the replacement pieces. It was all a seamless and easy process. Jerry was also quick and efficient which was another bonus. What gives this company extra brownie points in my books though is their honesty...To elaborate, I had partially fixed the issue with my toilet before Jerry came but there was still something slightly off about the water levels... after telling Jerry he was able to tweak the part that I didn't know how to fix and literally in seconds, he had the issue resolved. Given what a quick fix it was and that he was already out to help with other plumbing issues, he didn't charge me for the toilet fix. Little things like that go a long way because any other plumber would've likely charged me just for even touching it/assessing it. They sent Will to determine if it could be repaired or if we needed to replace it. We had been thinking about replacing our big tank with a tankless water heater so we asked Will to give us some information on savings, water usage, maintenance costs etc. Will was very knowledgeable and gave us all the pros and cons. We decided to get the tankless. The next day Gallegos texted us at 8:00 am to tell us when the installers, Nick and Spencer would arrive. They arrived showed up ready for work by 9:00 am. They were so courteous, explained everything they were going to do, did some minor repairs to the venting before finishing the job in about 5-1/2 hours. Was able to share my issues over the phone and before even seeing my appliances / the work to be done they came prepared with their own replacement parts and tools. The gentlemen that worked on my repairs were Clinton and Cayden. Two young professionals. I was impressed that they were right on time for the appointment. Very friendly, kind and professional. They handled everything with care and explained to me exactly what needed to be done. They were mindful and wore booties over their shoes in the house without me even making a comment. They were able to fix a leak in one of my showers and replace two corroded nozzles in my laundry area. Again I was impressed that 1. They assessed what needed to be fixed quickly, 2. Took care in explaining what needed to be done, 3. Had replacement pieces already on hand, and 4. Accomplished all of my repairs in about an hour. It's funny because another worker guy was actually at my house when they came and he even he was impressed with how timely this duo was. What really sealed the deal in me giving them five stars is they were a very understanding of our financial limitations to do all of the work that they suggested and without being pushy or sticking to their initial quote, they were able to be flexible and make some adjustments on how they handled the repairs to get the cost down. Yes that means they didn't do the repairs 100% as the felt I needed/recommended but they also worked with me to cut some repairs that were not an immediate need to keep the price point reasonable so that I could at least get some of the work done this day. No call back Thursday: I call - she transfers me to an extension no one is at and the call ends. I call back multiple times, doesn't pick up, then I leave a voicemail asking to be called back. Friday: Still no call back from yesterday and it's later in the afternoon. I call again, the secretary now says I need to contact my property manger (who has told me to call them for any updates). Despite her giving me the runaround and updates for the past year with no issues talking directly to me.. She says she doesn't know anything more and it's the plumbers responsibility not her. Then she contradicts herself and says it's an order waiting and she knows for a fact that it has been ordered. I ask - well when was it ordered? She doesn't know... and she eventually hung up on me when I told her she should know and I'm tired of this. You need help and you need it fast. You're thinking, damn, this is going to cost a fortune. And you have no idea who to call! Well, I'll tell you who: the team at Ocean View Plumbing and Rooter! Over the years I've owned my house I've used several different plumbers. Some good, some bad. More bad ones than good ones, truth be told. Some so bad I had to hire a second plumber to fix the first plumber's shoddy work. Some were total ripoffs. It's a damn jungle out there! A couple years ago I had a leak in a pipe under the concrete slab my house is built on. It required drilling through floor of my kitchen, and through the concrete to repair. A bit of a sticky wicket. After the first company that I called proved unable to address the situation I called Ocean View. These guys were the proverbial Pros from Dover; they were definitely up to the challenge. It wasn't an easy job. But they got 'er done. I was very happy with their work. Since that big job, I've had to call them out a couple more times. The most recent was this week. I called them out because in one bathroom the drain in the shower was slow, and in the other bathroom the toilet was always running and I was tired of jiggling the damn handle. They sent Fredi and his helper to address the problems. I was happy to see Fredi because he had been here before and I know that guy is good! Just like always, the problems were quickly fixed. And at a reasonable price! Not cheap, mind you, but reasonable. Quite fair, I'd say. I wholeheartedly recommend Ocean View Plumbing and Rooter. If you have plumbing issues these are definitely the guys to call. Unlike a lot of other companies, these guys show up when they say they will show up. After the inspection, I did a quick search and found that almost every other reputable company in the area offers this exact same service for **$250-$350**. I felt backed into a corner and paid because I was in the middle of a high-stress inspection window and didn't want to cause a scene or a delay, but this pricing is predatory. I was, and still am, genuinely stunned that someone representing a business would think that was an appropriate thing to say to a potential customer. Calling an organization "devil worshippers" simply for showing support for LGBTQIA+ people is an incredibly hateful thing to say about a community that has already faced generations of discrimination and marginalization. The irony seems completely lost on him: this kind of open hostility toward an entire group of people is exactly why Pride Nights and other visible displays of support for the LGBTQIA+ community continue to matter. Hearing someone speak with that kind of contempt simply because an organization chooses to celebrate and welcome LGBTQIA+ people was disturbing. It's beyond me how someone thinks saying something like that out loud during a professional interaction is acceptable. On top of that, FlowTech quoted us $5,200 for the project. We ultimately had the same project completed for $1,600 elsewhere. Needless to say, we won't ever be using FlowTech Drains.
