I really miss my breakfast taco selection I had living in the Austin area. During my search of Belton and temple I found salgados. There's a convenient drive thru where you can order the whole menu. Everyone is always super nice. We come for breakfast tacos almost every weekend. They are a hefty size for a food price! The Migas with bacon is the best! read more

Menu on Yelp is wrong and they will not honor those prices. Charged me twice what it shows. I talked to them about helping correct the mistake and they seemed interested, but didn't accommodate for the error, in fact they claim they don't manager anything online. Yet the phone number is correct and Yelp is capable of working with them to fix it. I offered to help, if it does get corrected I will consider changing the rating. I'm from CA and the mexican food here is very different! My husband and I have been on the hunt for the best mexican food around and not gonna lie, this place surprised us! We were craving breakfast burritos & the burritos we got from Salgados were very good!!! $16 for 2 huge burritos that satisfied our craving. We didn't wait very long at all. Always personal service, they make you feel cared about as a customer. They have never messed up my order. And even in times like these with inflation and all they have never held back on the tacos. The everything bacon, ham, sausage egg. & of course chorizo egg tacos. Real tortillas! Two sauces. Red is tomato based & mild. The GREEN one is what you want! Spicy & Flavorful. It's my favorite. We moved here from San Diego, CA. So we KNOW good burritos from bad ones. This place has the most decent burritos around the Belton-Temple area. They are good in size, and the flavor is there. I grew up in this area and have been coming here for their cheese enchiladas since high school. I always get the same thing as it's my absolute favorite: #10 Enchiladas Banderas. This is where I come to treat myself on my bday every year when I come home to visit family. That's how good they are! :) Parking can be a bit tight at times and the restaurant isn't huge but it has a nice home-y feel to it. I've always had good service and I've never walked away dissatisfied. The prices have gone up since high school but not by leaps and bounds. In almost 10yrs it's gone up by approx $1.50 or so. My favorite used to be around $7 and now it's just under $9 for the plate but completely worth it and comparable to other TexMex places. You can't go wrong here. YES! The happiness that a good breakfast taco can give me is quite astonishing. Mum and I came here for breakfast. Neither of us had been before, her co-workers recommended it above our normal haunt. The decor is probably crazy to most people, but it reminds me of my late great-grandmother's house in Brownsville so it makes me smile and laugh.
