It's terrible....., that other country seafood and desert restaurants can't cook like these chefs. Darn good eating. These young ladies work hard and smile all the time. Oh, and thanks for playing good Christian music. read more

Always delicious food on the buffet. Plenty of choices and stuff are always bringing out more. Wait staff is very friendly and helpful. Seating is tight at times and little noisy but that's because the food is always fresh , hot and delicious. Highly recommend read more

I came here for the lunch buffet as I was in a hurry and didn't have time for sit down meal. The food was okay, it was very hit or miss though. For example there was this baked chicken and I had gotten two pieces from the same pan, the one piece was fault off the bone tender and the other one was so dry it tasted like shoe leather read more

Staff were friendly. Hot bar was well stocked and food was hot. Fried was very good as was the dessert pizza.

Always consistently good food. Staff is very nice and courteous. Pizza in the name but it's more of a Country buffet with pizza as well.

Food was decent, wait staff very attentive, lighting was rather dim. Buffet could use a bit more variety and kept up better. Several times during my visit items on the buffet were out and it took 15-20 minutes on average to fill. Everyone pays say price child, adult, senior read more

Ordered take out had to wait quite a while for order. I ordered catfish plate a large it only had 2 pieces of fish.It was good but for a large not enough fish. read more

Soul food! Delicious country cookin'! Everything on the buffet is yummy, but if you don't get the chocolate chip pizza you're doing it wrong! I will be so full after but I ALWAYS get a medium chocolate chip pizza to go. Worth the drive!! read more

Salem pizza is a great place to eat! With a small town atmosphere and a large buffet I highly recommend!

Great food and salad bar - we will be going back. Garlic pizza was amazing and loved the mashed potatoes...

We ate here for the 1st time with friends Friday night. The food was amazing. Everything was fresh and hot. The salad bar was great. It was really busy but the service was very good. It was very clean. We will definitely be back! read more

Went on Mother's Day with our family today. The food was hot and good. The patrons, the atmosphere was horrible. People left their manners home today and it's like that every time. Almost as if they see buffet and think it's all you can eat but the food will run out. Horrible. Just rude. I don't know if it's the town or the sense of entitlement. Just know, you have to be rude or have boundaries bc they have none. read more

The only buffet style restaurant that I have eaten at in years. It is very clean and the staff pays close attention to keeping everything on the buffet neat / fresh. Country style cooking with a friendly staff. The fried chicken is authentic as it gets. The chicken pastry (dumplings), country style meats / gravy and bbq chicken are really good. The side items of vegetables and salad bar are nice as well. They have a heavy selection of fried seafood on Friday / Saturday nights. They even have pizza out for the kids or those that don't appreciate down home cooking. Either you are going to be on your way somewhere or you will have to make a special trip to find this place. It is in he middle of a very small and quiet community but worth the trip. read more

See all

Went out looking for food and found this little cozy buffet didn't expect much out of it but I was wrong this place was amazing their fried chicken was crispy, fish was soft and tender hush-puppies were crispy from the outside and soft in the inside and the best of all was their pizza. It was a little cold but still really amazing definitely coming back. read more

Pros. Fried chicken and porchops. Nice staff Good price Cons. The rest of the food. Literally the worst pizza I've ever had even though pizzas in the name of the restaurant. Everything is bland and tasteless there's no seasoning on anyting. The only reason I see that this place is still in business, is that it's the only restaurant from miles you'd have better luck going to one of the convenience stores read more

We were very happy with the service and the food. I feel like most of the food was homemade. Will definitely come back.

Small town restaurant with a welcoming environment. Buffet is a great option especially on the weekends when they offer seafood! They also have the best chocolate chip pizza around. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. read more

Great country cooking. Large selection of pizzas and desserts. Friendly staff. They offer order from menu, buffet, and to go by weight.

This place has incredible fried chicken along with other great food, just like mom made!

Had dinner in February. All I can say is AWESOME! I have been there a few times prior, same awesome food and nice people. Try not to fill up on the great sweet tea before you eat to much! I will be back and bring friends and family! read more

Oh my word ,the locally family owned is the best Seafood Restaurant Buffet Friday,Saturday night!!!! The oysters are the best on the buffet,oh my word on Monday nights is Cat fish the BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN AND THEIR FRIED CHICKEN LORD ITS DELICIOUS! I crave this place lots read more

We hadn't been here in some time, but decided to visit one Saturday afternoon around 12:30pm, as the parking lot about half full with a number of empty tables inside. The small buffet seemed clean, but had a number of empty pizza pans. The shredded lettuce on the salad bar was wilted and brown. They were very slow to replenished depleted items. They had 3 untouched dessert pizzas but only 1 PIECE of a supreme pizza remaining, along with 3 empty pizza pans After 30 minutes, they finally brought out another supreme that was RAW in the middle. A properly cooked pepperoni pizza came out 30 minutes after that and was quickly scooped up. Same with the hush puppies, fried chicken, and the pound cake (which was delicious). The fried chicken, yeast rolls, and pound cake were the only items which were any good. The hush puppies and pizza crust were very tough, probably from far too much mixing of the dough. We couldn't figured out what the banana pudding was at first, but it was BAD regardless! This pizza / country buffet was very disappointing, mediocre at best given the low cost of $7.99 per person (pre-paid). Service was slow as we were on our 2nd trip before we got anything to drink and surrounding tables were stacked with dirty plates and food scraps for at least 30 minutes, no doubt attracting the flies we were fighting most of our time there. I've had better buffets locally, and better food and pizza just about anywhere. read more

I love the variety that Salem pizza offers. They recently added a taco buffet (or at least I think it's new) which is a wonderful addition to the other buffet items. read more

I was out in Salemburg for a week at the NC Justice Academy. Salem Pizza did me right and was delicious. Really good fried chicken, pretty good pizza, good "Italian" food, and really nice waitresses. They also serve a gallon of soda, which helps to get through class. read more

Rode over from Hope Mills to check this place out--so glad we did! The buffet was full of great home-cooked southern dishes. The bbq was good, the turnips tasty, the beef stew was hot and the gravy meaty! There was also pizza on the buffet, along with their mouth-watering dessert pizzas-in chocolate chip, strawberry and pineapple. There was a big variety of breads and items on the salad bar. (the bacon bits were REAL--not imitation) But the best item on the buffet was the homemade cheese biscuits (I could eat my weight in those delicious morsels!) We had the luck to sit next to the owner who informed us of the variety of foods that can be found on different evenings. We will be going back on a Thursday for rib nite & Friday's seafood buffet. read more

Great pizza and home cooking food . there's always a ton of the locals and people from the justice academy .

My husband and I went for the first time a few months back and we loved it. The price was good. They have a reasonable amount of desserts and had different kinds of fried foods, which I love because I had the fried fish! They could have very good there were a few pieces that were fried a little too long but never the less it was good. they even had shrimp, fried chicken and their devil crabs are so good! I'm not sure if they're home made or if their bought, but they're good size and they are delicious! read more

Their buffets are amazing. I love thier garlic pizza and BBQ Ribs! They have a amazing salad bar!!! One of the best Sweet Teas around!

Whenever I'm in salemburg and I get hungry, I always choose this place to eat. Good food, friendly people makes this place awesome.

Prices are a little high, but their buffet is great! They have something for everyone, even the picky eaters.

In my 84 years having been to hundreds of buffet restaurants, Salem Pizza is in the top ten! My wife comes here several times a year with her Women's Auxiliary Church Group but this my first time ever. The pork on the ribs just falls off. I had four helpings of ribs, fried chicken breast, yams, broccoli with melted cheese sauce, salad bar, cole slaw, roast beef, banana dessert, chocolate chip dessert, red velvet cake and - yes - even some hush puppies which I as a Damned Yankee never eat. We came to NC to manage a multi million dollar retirement community in Raleigh and after four years decided to stay and become "tarheels". We built a country home out in the sticks and live a quiet retired life. You can bet I will want to return for their famous seafood buffet on friday nights. Do not know how they make any $$ but they have a thriving business consisting mostly of return customers. The head waitress, Taylor, treated us like family. read more

This is absolutely THE BEST food of all kinds! The homestyle cooking tastes like my grandmother's. They always have pizza, salad bar, fried chicken, vegetables, & desert. They also have other meats hat are different every day...such as pork loin, chicken & pastry, bbq, baked chicken, country style steak, chicken livers, turkey & dressing, stew beef, , catfish (Monday nights), seafood (Thursday lunch & Friday, Saturday nights). The deserts are homemadev& delicious ! Family owned business with very friendly staff. read more

Food is ok....sometimes better than others. A buffet so convenient for a group of hungry teens. Usually packed with locals so if you are from the area, you'll likely see someone you know or who knows you. The vegetables on the buffet are usually pretty good, cooked country-style. For those "foreigners" who may be at the Justice Academy, drive to the local signal light, turn left and it's a couple of miles out on the left. Yeah, that's the way you get there. Rural North Carolina at it's best. :) read more

We use to love this place back when the parents of the current owner ran and managed it. Since then, it has went downhill somewhat! Seems like trying to save money and taking shortcuts with the business are not paying off. I hear some of the locals complaining about it also. The buffet is not replenished as often leaving you having to wait on some food items to come out which is bad when you are in a hurry. The fried chicken is the best around though and the chicken pastry is awesome when you can catch it on the buffet. The country cooked vegetables are also great! They need to have more variety of pizzas out and keep them fresh and replenished more often! Besides, isn't pizza in their name? The Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet is not all that! There are better seafood restaurants around that have better tasting seafood! I guess it's all in the seafood breader that is used and most local seafood restaurants use Breader that is manufactured locally here in NC. Salem Pizzas is kind of bland with only a little flavor. We still eat there but mostly for the fried chicken and country vegetables. As long as that stays good, I guess we will still be eating there. read more

I've never eaten there but this morning I saw their van loading up with frozen pizza at our local supermarket. So much for "fresh pizza."
