The restaurant decor is very modern and hip, open views to the bar and kitchen so you could see into it even if you were sitting outside like we were. The menu looked promising with selection of starters, pasta, pizza and mains. I was impressed with the build your own pasta section where you get to choose your pasta and the sauce you want to add to it. If you want to take the hassle out of making a decision, they also offer the "gourmet" pasta menu where its a set pasta/sauce combo. Seeing as this was an Italian themed restaurant, I decided to go with the tradition Margherita pizza while my BFF chose the chicken, bacon, mushroom cream sauce to go with her fettuccine. Both, I would assumed were simple and basic dishes that an "Italian themed" eatery should have in their arsenal. What was delivered was a massive disappointment. My Margherita pizza was made with cherry tomatoes and grated mozzarella (cheddar?) cheese. For $19.50, I expected a lot more sauce, some real tomatoes and actual fresh mozzarella cheese. Pretty sure I could get the same quality pizza at Pizza Hut across the parking lot at a fraction of the price. The pasta was decent, however could do with a bit more flavour. The only positive thing about our meal was the side chips we ordered, it was crispy and hot and the aioli was tart. The service wasn't too bad and the staff were friendly. They seem to be slightly over staffed as there was heaps of staff on hand however that might just be because they are newly opened. The staff seem to be a bit lost at times as they would converge on one section or table but when we want to flag someone down to get a take away box, they all seem to disappear. I would come back here for drinks and maybe dessert but definitely not for their overpriced and uninspiring food.

The spaghetti alla chittara with gorgonzola and walnuts was my least favorite, but it was my cousin's favorite. Just a matter of preference. I was still willing to eat it though. The meatballs were so good. Perfectly seasoned and paired with the sauce. I was disappointed to see an order only had 4 pieces, but I don't know how much it cost. The bread was also delicious. The texture reminded me of a waffle, not quite crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. One order is only one disk-shaped pieced about the size of your hand. If I could, would I come again? I'm very tempted by the other items in their menu. As a person on vacation with little thought to budget, I absolutely would come again. If I was a local and had to watch my wallet, this place would be a treat, not something I could have often.

The main road of Henderson is run down but once inside the ambiance of this little restaurant is lovely and homely and i forgot once settled in for dinner that i was in Henderson. Though from the street Adriatico looks quite small, it's quite deceptive and can actually fit a large number of people, and can be pretty loud and bustling when it's busy. But this is part of the fun - it's very Italian! Adriatico offers a great selection of pizzas and pastas, and I personally recommend going there with a group of friends or your family and getting a few pizzas to share. The 'Adriatico Special' pizza is absolutely delicious, but they are also happy to create a pizza based on your craving. My friend had a pizza with salami, pineapple, mushrooms, capsicum, bacon and cheese made up for especially for him! Another great thing about Adriatico is that it is both licensed and offers a BYOW option. This means that while their meals are quite pricey (the average dinner meal costs about $30), you can save money on wine by bringing your own. Bonus!
