This is another place I found because I was going to a Yelp event. I was scanning through the menu. and to my surprise, I see they have a chicken sushi roll. I was so happy. I had been craving sushi, but I don't eat seafood. Weird, I know, but this just made me so happy. I put in an order for that and chicken and steak hibachi. I didn't even get to my hibachi food while I was there because the sushi was so good. It was so good, I had to put in an order to go. I can't find any other place that has chicken sushi. They were pretty fast in cooking everything. I would definitely go back if I can't find another place with the chicken sushi. read more

When you first walk in on the left is an eye sore. The room feels crowded and messy. Seems like the owners live their part time with their kids with a tv and items in boxes. This place also had really good food. I don't know what happened? The service was great our Male server kept asking if we needed anything. The food was hot and had decent portions. We order from the one in Midway quite frequently. The food is consistently good and the service is excellent. We usually do takeout and order the hibachi chicken with steamed and fried rice. I highly recommend Sakura on Hickory Tree Road if you want good Japanese food. read more

We always get good food here. Everything is made to order. I've watched on several occasions while my sushi was being assembled and hand rolled. The restaurant and bathrooms are always acceptable as are tables and booths. Bummer that the complimentary soup/salad that comes with the hibachi/teriyaki plates is done in only. You can order one but it won't be complimentary if it is pick-up. The Crazy Roll is crazy good. Good value as well! read more

The food is fantastic and the service is great. We always get food to go but the meal is good. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I had Shrimp Tempura and it was fantastic. The portions are nice as well. Comparatively speaking I went to another place with the same name in Winston and the price was a lot more and portions were a lot less. I went here their first month open. The sushi was good, and the habachi good. The place was ultra clean and beautiful decor. The service was not so great. First time eating here, we dined inside. We ordered pad Thai and was satisfied. The second time we ordered takeout and ended up with no food. After ordering they said it would take 20 minutes. Ended up getting there after 25 minutes and they said it would be 5 more minutes. 5 minutes later still not ready. This is the best Sushi venue around. I love all of it and my kids do too! The service is amazing and tasteful. Not too intrusive and always fill up our cups. My husband and I always choose there to eat alone and sometimes we take kids on Sunday. I just cannot believe my kids just dive right in and eat it all there. By the way, we have 7 kids and getting good service with that many kids is nearly impossible but with a good waitress it is DONE. We are very understanding with the kids an all. Try the Fire Crunch Roll (it is not hot without the wasabi). Just try it. read more

I'm giving this a 4 because of the value overall. For $7.89 we got a HUGE plate of hibachi chicken. I could easily make 3 meals out of it and I'm a big eater. For the price, it was really good. Sure, I've had better, more flavorful, hibachi chicken at a place where they cook in front of me, but for over double the price and less food. The white sauce was great and made up for the chicken which lacked a little flavor and I had several pieces that were really chewy. Next time we will get teriyaki chicken. I think it would have more flavor. The rice, broccoli, and mushrooms were great and had great flavor. We got our order to-go but the place was nice and clean inside and the person who took my order was very nice. Just a heads up, you only get soup or salad for dine-in orders. read more

My girlfriend and I ate at here tonight. It was really good and fairly priced. I had hibachi chicken and she had a combination sushi platter. The hibachi was really good. I ordered a side of spicy salmon sushi and it was delicious. My girlfriend said her sushi was good. I had the soup instead of the salad and it was really good too. Be careful folks about this place... We went there for lunch and had a scary experience. I ordered the grilled salmon with some sort of mango toppings. The salmon was RAW inside. I immediately showed it to my server who was nice but just didn't really know how to handle this. The manager should have immediately come out to talk to me but instead they took my plate back to the kitchen so they could "cook it a bit more." I should really just have gotten up and walked out. When the food was returned to me, the salmon was now OVERCOOKED. The accompanying sides were carrot slices (totally uninteresting and bland) and a melange of zucchini and carrots (also flavorless). Both of my two dining companions were completely dissatisfied with their lunches (a chicken bento box and chicken teriyaki). The teriyaki sauce tasted like something out of a bottle and the chicken was dry. Nothing was appealing on anyone's plate. Avoid this place like the plague. The management was clearly disinterested in the fact that my salmon was not fully cooked and the waiter, while nice, lacked the skills to deal with this complete loser of all of our meals... none of us will ever return. read more

Ordered hibachi chicken and shrimp...moist, flavorful, juicy, and the shrimp were all jumbo. Homemade ginger dressing and delicious miso and mushroom soup. Sushi is top notch.
