Birthday boy Ryan, Niki and Ron

Grandson Ryan came to stay with us for a couple of days and with his birthday just a few day away we decided to go out to dinner. This was "THE" best experience. From the hostess giving us a friendly greeting, the bartender fixing up non alcoholic drink for the birthday boy and adult libations for grandma and grandpa, to our server Mathew... and as he introduced himself "The Fake Chef", now known as Chef Lee who put on a great creative show, unlike we have never seen before. The food including the appetizer was fantastic. Grandson Ryan was blown away that we scored a table to ourselves and the chef once learning we were celebrating our grandsons birthday really began catered to him. The food was outstanding from the appetizer, soup, salad, to the entree's. The total experience was excellent!

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and it has consistently been one of my favorite places. The sushi chefs always prepare the sushi perfectly--fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented every time. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always provide fast, helpful service. It's clear that everyone takes pride in making sure customers have a great experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent sushi and outstanding service!

Food pictured were good! Not the best I've had but my husband and I enjoyed the food. He enjoyed his ramen. The sushi was mid, like any sushi roll. However, the service we had was great. Our waitress was very kind and accommodating to our requests, such as substituting the gyoza with our ramen with tonkatsu! We sat in their dining tables but I love the lively ambiance, especially from the teppanyaki side. There's always a birthday going on whenever I have visited in the past and all the cooks were usually very lively and fun. A great place to go after shopping or watching a movie!

Food was delicious and the teppanyaki guy was great. He put on a great show and because it was so dark in there, the fire lit up the table and looked very cool. No complaints there. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because we came here for my friend's birthday and we kept hearing the waiters sing happy birthday to the other tables, but when it came to my friend's birthday, they said all the waiters went home for the day. Really? Within 10 minutes, there was no one to sing happy birthday to my friend? We mentioned it was her birthday when we sat, we mentioned it to the server during the meal, and we had to remind them after the meal as well. All they did was bring out the melted ice cream cup to her that they admitted they forgot about. I want to give this place 5 stars, but I did not have a 5 star experience.

Great food. Great service. Great presentation. Just like you've always been accustomed to at the first location. Clean restaurant. Ample parking. Great lunch special!

Sakura Chaya is one of those rare hometown wins. The kind of place that grows organically, earns loyalty the hard way, and becomes a true local gathering spot without trying too hard. Walk in and you feel it immediately. Familiar faces, easy conversation, and a dining room that works equally well for a quick weeknight meal or lingering with friends. This is not trend chasing. It is consistency, care, and respect for the basics done right. The food tells the same story. Clean flavors. Quality ingredients. No unnecessary distractions. My go to is the sashimi, and it delivers every time. Fresh, properly cut, and thoughtfully presented. The fish tastes like it should, pure and unmasked, supported by crisp greens, clean accompaniments, and balance instead of excess. It is the kind of dish that signals confidence. When a restaurant can serve sashimi this straightforward and this good, you trust everything else on the menu. Saruykaya feels home grown in the best sense of the word. A neighborhood anchor that brings people together, respects the craft, and keeps standards high without losing its soul. In a town full of options, this is the place you return to. Not because it is flashy, but because it is dependable, welcoming, and genuinely good.

We headed in at an odd time yesterday around 230pm. It was late for lunch and too early for dinner. Nevertheless, we were seated in the front dining area, and ordered some entrees. The menu offers a lot of familiar favorites that you would expect to see at a a bar/ restaurant. Burgers, sandwiches, salads, and a few specialty plates. For my meal, I ordered The Local burger (no pickles of course) which was absolutely fantastic. Piled high with cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomatoes - this burger was executed to perfection. I ordered it medium, and it came out medium (imagine that). The best part was the sunny side egg that was placed on top. That first bite was heavenly. The yolk breaks, and all the goodness adds a little extra flavor to the already delicious burger. The shoe string fries were seasoned perfectly- I highly recommend this entree. The only thing I would add next time is an element of spice to take things up to another level. My wife ordered the BLTA sandwich , with sweet potato fries. I didn't try a bite because I had enough bacon on my burger , but I did sneak a sweet potato fry , and it was fantastic. My son order the chimichurri steak , he seemed to enjoy it although it may have had too much sauce on it for his liking. Perhaps it would been better if he ordered the sauce on the side. My picky daughter ordered the pesto chicken sandwich ,and she said it was pretty good. My family and I were full , but weren't going to let the dessert options pass us by. My family has a sweet tooth. We all shared the chocolate cake and bread pudding . Both are nice options if you need something sweet to top off your meal. The food and vibe of this place deserves 5 stars. I will deduct one star for the mediocre service and inconsistent food prep. Our meals were coming out one by one which made it awkward when trying to eat together. Our server didn't offer refills on our drinks , and didn't bring us utensils -until we asked for them. I will be back to try more menu items , and enjoy a cold beer while watching the game.

The shrimp scampi was well-seasoned and flavorful, paired with risotto that was slightly undercooked but not enough to take away from the dish overall. The chimichurri steak, on the other hand, was cooked perfectly and seasoned beautifully--the chimichurri sauce was definitely the highlight. Our server, Jen, was also acting as host and bartender, and she handled it all impressively as the restaurant started to fill up. Even while understaffed, she kept everything running smoothly until additional staff arrived. Overall, it was a great experience
