Tried the calamari appetizer and it was extremely bland and tasteless. We tried 3 of the sushi rolls: Kiss of the Dragon, Pacific Heat, and Shooting Star. The rolls were all delicious, but I'd most likely try different ones for a return visit. If I were to repeat one, it would be Kiss of the Dragon. Counter staff who took my order was very welcoming and helpful. This was a spur of the moment takeout order at 4 PM midweek, so the restaurant was fairly empty during my visit. I was surprised that my order took 45 minutes to prepare, but I did feel the quality of my food was worthwhile so no complaints overall. Would like to return for a dine in hibachi experience soon.

The server and hostess were very nice in accommodating us even though I mistakenly made the reservation for 5:30p instead of 5p (we arrived at 5p) and we had to change (lower) the party size. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we had refills on our beverages. I got the sushi combination which lets you pick out 8 pieces of sushi and either tuna or a California roll. All of it was delicious! My friend ordered calamari, I've had better, these were chewy. and shared it with me. My other friends got the assistive device roll which they all enjoyed. My other friends all enjoyed their food. The portions were decent and the price wasn't bad. Though it is a little further out than I typically like to go I'd definitely go back!

That order was so terrible. I decided I would never go back. But today I decided to give them another chance. Any restaurant can I have a bad day, right? We placed a carryout order of two sushi rolls and one kids dinner which came to $60 including tax and tip. The steak and the kids dinner was cooked well done, but ordered medium. The vegetables tasted like dirt and look like dirt as well. They were basically black. Not burnt just black in color? Whoever made the sushi rolls must've been new because they were very oddly shaped and not cut evenly. That honestly isn't too big of a deal, but the spider roll was filled with a questionable meat that was so burnt you could only taste dirty grease. My guess is they have not changed the grease in the fryer four days or weeks. You also can tell by the picture that they use fake crab meat, but that is not what they said in the menu description. The other sushi roll was OK but nothing out order again. It did appear to be made according to the description on the menu.

The tables were pretty greasy and could have been cleaner. Also, we made a reservation 5 days in advance, but when we arrived, the lady at the reception didn't acknowledge or seem to see our reservation. I had to show her the approved reservation on my phone. It was kind of weird and frustrating that they couldn't see it on their end. I think their reservation system definitely needs some improvement. Overall, the food was really good, but the cleanliness and reservation process could be better.

I don't frequent the Anchorage area often, so I did not know that this place existed until finding it online. We are big sushi lovers, and man, theirs did not disappoint! In fact, for how small of a place it is, I was impressed with how many different options of rolls that they had. They also have other items on their menu if you're not feeling sushi. I ordered the crab rangoon roll - a personal fave of mine - and this was the best one I've had... huge portions and drizzled with sweet chili sauce... yum! I also appreciate the size of the roll, as one was the perfect size for a dinner portion and not too small like it can be at other places.
