This store has a great section. I can see a lot of different varieties of products including clothes, bags, makeup kits, belts, sandals, shoes, caps and many more. It was organized according to its products. I went to the mens section because I wanted to buy pants and a polo shirt. They gave a discount on some of their products. I can see that they gave a 70 percent discount on jackets. I went there and looked for a jacket that looked cool. But I can see any jacket that is my type. So I went to the pants section and started to buy. It's easy for me to purchase pants since I know my size. After that I went to the polo section and purchased a gray and baby blue polo. Came here to return a few coats from being overzealous on Black Friday. I had never been to a Saks off 5th before so i was expecting a Nordstrom Rack or TJ Maxx. I was pleasantly surprised at how much more spacious and well-organized and clean this felt by comparison. They also have some higher end products that Rack doesn't sell in store, which is a perk for folks looking for those items. My return process was painless/the sales associate was efficient. I'll be back in a few days to do more returns because I have more things coming that I'll need to return, so I'm glad it was an easy experience today. read more

I found some great deals here but honestly the place is pretty meh... It's gloomy inside. One of the employees was really rude to the customer in front of me who seemed uncomfortable speaking English--felt so bad to see that. When it was my turn, this employee didn't greet me. I was making a return and asked if I needed my card. She rolled her eyes said "put it away. It's automatic" pretty rudely... ok jeez somebody is having a bad day lol. This place was huge and spacious. I think you will not get hot in here because their interior design was white. And a white paint is good for the eye. They have different varieties of products. You can sew the mens section, women section and kids section. They also gave a discount and sale on selected items only. I came here because I want to buy my daughter new clothes. She will be attending a mini party for her classmates. Aside from that I will also buy a dress to give to her classmates as a gift. So after I bought my daughter a dress I bought her classmate a dress. These two dresses have a discount so it saves me enough money. I'm lucky. I bought everything I needed. Located in the Village Square of Northbrook Plaza, specifically next to Trader Joe's. Plenty of parking available. My husband and I stopped by this plaza after making a shopping run at Trader Joe's. I am surprised to see such a poor rating of this place (at the time of this review, 2 stars overall), but then again with only so few reviews, it doesn't exactly paint an accurate picture of how this business really is. Anyways, upon entering, I immediately headed towards the back to check out the shoes. I was pretty happy seeing some of the high end designer names (which included Christian Dior and Manolo Blahnik), but would prefer the price to be knocked down by at least another $50-$100 off. This store was pretty organized and neatly stocked on the shelves and on the rack (for the clothes). This store also carried quite a handful of high end designer brand names in the handbag department as well (including Bottega Venetta, Valentino, Alexander Wang and YSL). If I lived in the area, I would definitely frequent this store often to find the deals for less. read more

Great spots for men's suits. Their buy one get one sale is borderline ridiculous. Fantastic savings! Shirt selection not as great, but still adequate. Staff is pleasant. Yesterday I came to this outlet store. Since I was familiar with this store it's easy for me to find and go to every section they have. I went to the women's section and looks for some clothes to buy. At first I want to bought a dress but since it has no discount, I only bought a blouse and pants that have a discount of 30 percent. I also bought an eyeglass since it has a discount of 70 percent. Before I paid it to the counter, I went to perfume area. I like the smell of some perfume but when I look at it it was too pricey for me. So I didn't buy perfume. I went to the counter and paid my purchased. It is put in a nice paper bag. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I will NEVER order from Saks OFF fifth again. I have never had any issues with the original Saks Fifth, but this was my first time ordering from Saks OFF fifth . I purchased a scarf for my mom 65th birthday. The first red flag was when I placed the order and did not receive a confirmation email or tracking number the same day. I was patient and waited a few days, but still didn't receive any communication 5 days after placing the order. The next issue was the fact that I had to log in to their website, pull up my order, figure out how to navigate their site to find a tracking number, and at this point it had been 6 days and there was no tracking number - my order simply said: "in-process". I had no clue what shipping company they were using or anything . After 2 weeks had passed, I was forced to purchase another gift for my mothers birthday because this scarf didn't arrive on or before her day. So I was forced to spend money twice. 15 days later, I went into a Saks OFF fifth store to ask customer service to look up this order because I wanted to cancel and receive a refund. Surprise - The order was finally updated on that same day - and it was allegedly delivered today. However, when I arrived home there was no package at my door and as of today, I STILL have not received that package. I called Saks OFF fifth for a resolution and was told they could not provide a refund or a replacement. I would advise any customers to NEVER EVER PURCHASE from Saks OFF fifth company. read more

Always hit or horrible miss with the customer service here. This is probably the 4th time I've received lazy service but this time they tried to charge me $89 for sweat pants I purchased last week in a different color for $25 in the same clearance rack. The pants didn't have a tag and I couldn't get them because they just said sometimes people move things and they brought pants from the same brand that cost almost 4x as much. Total miss and i keep coming back. I started shopping at this store when I was 11 years old I'm Gurnee. And consistently, consuming from any and all there stores, Northbrook, Lincoln Park, (I've gotten the worst customer service there and every single time I've been), old orchard, etc. The Gurnee store is the only store where I have never had a bad experience. Gowns and Shoes. I've lived around the corner from this store for seven years and tonight was the first night I set foot in there. Why? I don't know. I guess I just figured it would be one of those junky overpriced stores with the remains of what doesn't sell. Junky it is not. In fact, I was extremely impressed by how well organized everything is compared to other stores like TJ Maxx and Marshalls. I came in tonight looking for something particular. Since it's a seasonal item I didn't find what I was looking for - anywhere - but I'll consider my bummer luck to be super lucky. Because I found so many of my favorite brands here. Dresses by Diane von Furstenberg. A small Ellen Tracy section. St. John suits. Walking into the store, I felt like I was walking into an upscale department store that was placed into a Marshalls. Shoes in the back - wow what an amazing selection. Fancy gowns, some that start at $999, but they have lots of sales going on right now. Stuff you'd see on the runway. The purses and accessories section is really fabulous too. Also a mens and small girls section (not sure about boys). Yes, I saw some *are you kidding I wouldn't wear that top to save my life* tops, but overall some really great pieces to browse. What I loved most was the chance to shop higher end brands with no one trying to sell me on anything. I could browse for days! Ordered some Giuseppe's (shoes) and my order got canceled for some reason. Called customer service to resolve the problem and was told my money would be refunded within 24 hours. Okay no problem. 24 hours passed and the money was still not in my account. So I called customer service again, and was told that it takes up to 48 hours then 2-3 business days?! It is really inconvenient and unacceptable and a complete waste of my time. Thanks to poor customer service, I will not be receiving my new shoes in time for my vacation that is coming up. read more

Dear Saks Corporate People, We've been to every discount department store this side of the Mississippi--and that side, too. So I know what I'm talking about when it comes to these places. Saks Off Fifth is usually a fun experience for us--like a little amusement park for bargain hunting adults looking for graphic tees... Most all of these places are the same, with the variation usually in inventory. Yes, there aren't a lot of salespeople usually, but that's the discount in the discount designer, right? If you want a cushy experience pay retail. Fair enough. But I am really perplexed at this particular store near Ravinia outside of Chicago. We were there last week and encountered some pretty apathetic reps there. No, "apathetic" means you don't care. And it's not that they did, but they did care (deeply) about getting the eff out of the store, and they reminded us every few minutes for the last thirty minutes before the store closed. I brought several shirts up to the "salesperson" at the register, who was as non-plussed as can be... I asked a few questions and she mumbled at me with a grimace. I said to B, well--I guess they really want us to get out of here (it was 10 minutes before close), so I'll just buy this t-shirt. No "oh--please take your time" or even "we're not quite closed yet," but just a blank stare back with a "so just the t-shirt then?" Folks, if you want to go into retail you kind of need to want to sell stuff. To the corporate people--you really need to visit this store and train the manager, who was extremely eager to get everyone the heck out of there at the moment 7.00.00PM hit. Bleh. Is this even LEGAL or RIGHT to treat customers this way??? I went to Northbrook location Saksoff5th on sat 5/21/16 to shopping for pre-Memorial Day's week sale. I was going to purchase 6 pairs of jeans from the same racks & they're all same price, but there were 2 pairs of jeans price tags was $29.99 but when the sales lady scanned the price it was $119 & $69, so she took off the sales sticker right away in front of me and said can't give me the that price. Then i stopped her for ripping off the sticker of the second pair jeans & I said I need to take a picture to show the store manager. This lady claimed she is the store manager. Then I asked to speak to her supervisor, she said the supervisor is on PTO. I told her as the consumers right, even if this tag was by mistake she should of give customers the sale tag price because first of all this is not my mistake. I spent a lot of times & $ shopping at this store. However this lady took of the both red stickers & said can't give me the sale price because of her store policy, but then she charged me for $119 the jeans I never purchase. This is so wrong not giving customer price adjustment even thou this is obviously the store mistake & wrongfully charged the jeans I didn't purchase. I asked her for her supervisor's contact information then later I found out she gave me her card instead of her supervisor cause when I called it was the same lady answered the phone. The key point is the jeans was $245, sticker said 83% off as $29.99 which is neared the sale price.
