Shoe selection is very different than the Armitage store, but found a nice pair of flats. The women assisting were really nice. The major downside was there is no public restroom . So, I just paid $250 for a pair of shoes and then am told that I can use the restroom and Madam Zuzu's..... across the parking lot! WTF!! Talk about really bad customer service. I was floored. I love having Lori's in my town. They stock super cute shoes and is a great place to hop into when you just really need a new pair of shoes for that date night with your hubby. I usually find the staff to be fairly friendly. It is kind of hit or miss though. read more

I have bought several pairs of shoes at Lori's in Highland Park since moving back to town this summer, which is why it disappoints me to share this big customer fail. Last month, I purchased the L'idea (store brand) lug boot at $378. I loved them and wore them for one week. That's when the problems began. The "leather" began peeling off the right boot in two different places. I promptly brought the boots back. The store salesman was very helpful. He said they couldn't just replace them but would send them out for repair and that it would take one week. Nine days later, no word.  I called to find them. The boot came back clean and buffed, but you can't do anything about "leather" that has peeled off. At this point I asked for a new pair or a full refund. Again, the very helpful salesperson said he was not authorized to do that, but I should call Matt at the downtown store. I did, twice. And left two lengthy voice messages. I have not had a return call. #CustomerFail $378 boots should last more than a week. Actually, any boots should.  I think a store should stand by its product (L'idea is Lori's house "brand") and work with customers to do the right thing. It's too bad. I'd much prefer to buy shoes at a local shop than on Zappos or at a large chain. But, I won't shop here again. read more

I did a little happy dance when I walked by this Lori's Shoes for the first time. Lori's was one of the stores I was sad to leave behind in the city so imagine my excitement to discover there's one in the North Shore as well. After 1 lap around the store I stopped the happy dance. The selection was OK, but nothing like the Lori's in Lincoln Park. It's a smaller store so I wasn't expecting nearly as many shoes, but these brands (think Steve Martin) cater to more the teen crowd. I was also the only person in the store, which has never happened to me in the always busy Lori's in LP. Some things are just better in the city and Lori's is one of them.. read more

At Lori's, the customer is not right and does not come first. I WILL NEVER AGAIN SHOP AT LORI'S. Found a cute cross-body bag to use on an upcoming trip. Paid $85.00 During the first day of the trip, the strap broke and I had to buy a new bag. On my first opportunity (and within their 10 day return window), I brought the bag back to Lori's to return it. I was basically told I could not return it, and it was even suggested I put too much in it, which is why the strap broke. I said I did not want the bag, but I was told by the manager that I don't have a choice. It will be sent for repair and I'll get a call when it's ready. So, I bought a bag for $85.00 that was poorly made and broke on the first day I used it. I incurred the cost of another bag. And, I am stuck with this bag that will have been repaired. I plan to tell everyone I know that this store, or at least the manager, could've cared less about me, the customer. He was completely unwilling to write off the cost of the bag, in favor of infuriating me, the customer. This is very, very poor business. read more

I WILL NEVER SHOP AT Lori's again. I was convinced by the sales woman to buy a smaller size than I normally wear. I was very doubtful and she insisted that they were a good fit. I did not wear them for a few days because I wasn't sure if they were right. I put them on and wore them literally to the car and back. It was probably 30 total steps. They were very uncomfortable. I brought them back to Lori's and and the woman was completely rude an unapologetic. I was very disappointed at this terrible customer service. I am not able to shop there ever again and I encourage others to take their business elsewhere that values their customers read more

Great selection of cool shoes! They do discount -- it's not huge, but worth to go for a great pair of shoes. Service is patchy, but regardless, I really like shopping there. They also have some fun accessories -- scarves, jewelry, bags, etc. read more

I visited the Highland Park location 3 separate times over a month, and was NEVER even acknowledged by the staff in any of my visits, let alone asked if I needed help. There are plenty of places where I can purchase $150 sandals, and I will never shop at this store again. read more

I spoke with Corey in customer service who was extremely helpful as well and me an amazing deal on my shoes that I am sure to be in LOVE with! Ok so the ONLY reason why i'm being generous and giving two stars is because they gave me my money back really fast. I received my shoes super fast very excited then I opened the box. The shoebox itself was beat up no problem I can deal with that ,then I opened the box!! YIKES!!! The sandals that I received had dirt on the bottom.The sandals were gold so the thong that goes between the toes were silver as if these sandals were worn for years!!!! I returned them the next day and was pissed I had to pay to send some dirty ass sandals back to them that they will probably sell to someone else!!! Will never buy from them again. read more

I LOVE how Lori's stores are laid out. I am particular towards the HP location! Always find what I'm looking for AND things I didn't know I needed.. Their sales staff is always helpful, even when I don't buy a thing. My only recommendation is that Lori's carry less junior size clothing & more of a selection for Women. read more

TERRIBLE ONLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Purchased a clutch purse for $70, wore once, zipper malfunctioned. Called Customer service for remedy and their response was "there is nothing we can do. There is no warranty on the purse". Since when is there "no warranty". If a product is poor quality, refunds are in order. Will blackball them going forward and hope you do the same unless you like getting burned. In my world, the number one reason companies fail is due to poor customer service policies. It's only a matter of time before this deadbeat of a store closes its doors. Cheapskates who want to make $$$ but not do the right thing. A real shame. read more

I ordered a pair of boots six days ago from Lori's shoes. Seemed like a reputable shop. It said they would ship in two days. My credit card got charged. After two days, I had heard nothing, so I emailed them to check on my order which they had no record of. Really, because you charged my credit card? They then said they did have a record and I repeated my question - WHEN is it going to ship? They replied that they would notify me once it shipped. I emailed back and repeated my question - WHEN is it going to ship. I heard nothing for two day, and today (six days later) I got an email my order had been CANCELLED because they do not have the product. Well, why did you let me order it online then??? Worst online shopping experience I have ever had. Never again. read more
