It had been pre pandemic since I had been to Dadeland Mall. I live about 50 miles south in the Keys. I needed to get a Louis Vuitton Never Full bag repaired. Be aware that while Dadeland Mall opens at 10am weekdays, Saks opens at 11am. When they opened, I was welcomed at the LV shop inside Saks. Their repair specialist looked my bag over and assessed the damage. I was offered sparkling water. My bag's repairs will take 20+ weeks as it must be sent off (it was a limited edition). I wanted to look at the High Rise Bum Bag and another associate quickly helped me. I was again offered sparkling water. Yes, I purchased it! Everyone was friendly, professional and efficient. I hate writing these reviews but I find; they're necessary; I PHYSICALLY( Not ONLINE) went to the Saks Fifth Avenue located in the Dadeland shopping mall. I went there to purchase for my wife a pair of shoes she wanted. The employees were helpful and polite. I purchased the shoes and took them home. My wife tried them on and did not like; I returned to the store (Physically) to return the item and this is where my NIGHTMARE begins. The purchase was for approximate a thousand dollars. I waited the standard three days for my funds to be returned to my bank account and nothing so, I called Saks Support. Immediately, I could tell I was in TROUBLE. At first the phone operator spoke EXTRAORDINARILY POOR ENGLISH OR SPANISH ( I'm fluent in both). Then, when they did find my transaction they stated that I would have the funds back the next day therefore I waited. The following day and NOTHING. I called again; then the story changes. Now, I would have to wait for the "Warehouse" to process my return and it could take seven days. I said,"Thank you and waited." It gets worse... The next day I figured let me call and double check on the status of my return; The next operator for Saks that answered my phone call was COMPLETELY LOST! Once again I asked about my return. She couldn't grasp the idea that I had physically gone to the STORE and kept asking about my return LABEL! Still no status update and no return of funds... Finally this poor confused operator states that it would be FOURTEEN days before I would receive my funds and there is nothing that anyone can do to expedite the situation do to the "HOLIDAY SEASON" was approaching. Still waiting for my funds... It's funny if I walk into SAKS and take a bunch of items then pay them in fourteen days I'm a thief but Saks considers it "RETURN PROCESSING." I tried finding a cocktail dress here the other day for a gala event in cool weather. I tried on endless dresses and finally found the one I wanted. Of course, it was the last one in stock and was being sold right in front of me. I was helped out by the girl checking me out and told her to help me find the same dress as the lady. There was one or two left at a further location but I secured it at the register and made my way to the other location to pick up my dress. The fitting rooms are perfectly lit offering the ideal environment for really analyzing your clothes. The shoe department is to die for and I've found a few sandals here worth the price for their comfort and versatility. You can never go wrong with a trip to Saks. At first one of the shop girls was unhelpful telling me to "go look around the corner for some stuff." but then I ran into Melissa. Talk about a Grand Dame and social graces. This lady is straight out of society pages classy. She is my top choice for my all American grandmother. She helped me find a gorgeous green Nanette Lepore number, one shouldered and fresh. Sadly, it didn't fit perfectly but Melissa jumped on the computer and tracked down 2 more dresses. Sadly, they were in other states. She even offered to help me go through the floor again but alas I was on a time crunch. First and foremost, I must say that my rating has more to do with my SA Diana Arguello than with the actual store. The store seems small compared to the actual Louis Vuitton store but as small as it is they have almost everything in stock. A few days ago I made my first Louis Vuitton purchase here. I was instantly greeted by my SA Diana with a smile. She offered me water, soda, coffee, etc. She was super patient with me. I kind of had an idea of what I wanted, but she brought me different options I hadn't even thought about. She encouraged me to try the purses on, walk around with them, as well as see how it looked in the mirror. She did not rush me or push me into a purchase. Once I finally made my decision as to what I wanted to buy I went ahead and made the purchase. Afterwards I had my wallet hotstamped (which means getting your initials burned gently into the wallet with different colors available) which took five minutes. Throughout my visit we spoke, and she got a little bit of my history and why I was buying myself such an expensive gift. She packaged everything beautifully and seemed happier than me for my purchase. It's an amazing thing when a SA can be so approachable and caring. I have no doubt if I walked out of there without a purchase I would have been treated the same. I would suggest when making a purchase at Saks wether it be at Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior, etc that you do so when you are not in a rush. Enjoy your experience. Take your time and smell the leather! By far the rudest people work here. It's like that's what they look for when they hire at this Saks Fifth Ave location. We had purchased through the Saks Fifth Ave app an expensive Hermes perfume and added the $5 gift box. The gift box was a generic saks box, we thought it was going to come in a Hermes gift box since we paid extra. So we walked to the Hermes boutique, we waited patiently because the male employee was assisting a woman with her purchase. Four different staff walked right by us, three of them just talking in a circle and one rushed to attend another customer while seeing us wait at Hermes. Five minutes later, we're still waiting since the male employee was still assisting his customer and kept asking us what we wanted. We explained that it's okay, we will wait until your finished because the customer was here before us, mind you we weren't making any complaints, noises, just on our phones patiently waiting. Then the male Hermes employee somewhat because irritated with us patiently waited that he dropped what he was doing for the female customer who was there before us and demanded what we wanted. Well we politely mentioned that we purchased this online and wanted to see if we can get a Hermes gift box instead since we paid the $5 fee. The guy was like oh you need to go upstairs that's online only. Well I asked where is it and do they do the gift boxing. Then he was like oh well I didn't know that's what you wanted let me go ahead and change it. We give him the original gift box, five mins later, he's fumbling with our box and put a bow on it. We asked him we wanted to change it for a Hermes box. His exact words were "oh my gosh" so we said you don't have to be rude, we asked for the box and you said yes but you gave us back our original with a bow. His reply was well I'm assisting her and she's patiently waiting. Our response was well we were patiently waiting, didn't make no noise and kept telling you that we will wait until you're finished with her, it's okay. We didn't demand for help right away or you could've asked one of the four employees who are in the corner talking amongst themselves. The male employee didn't like that we were nice and snatched our box back, took back the perfume out and smashed our box. All flustered and kept mumbling to us that the female customer before us needed his help and full attention, we kept saying we didn't ask for you to assist us right away, we told you that we will patiently wait. 30 mins later, he lost a sale with the female employee and our sale too since we needed more perfume and purchased four Jo Malone perfumes with a lady who was actually attentive. read more

We had Marietta and Rose happily trying to understand what my husband was asking for. I had a very bad experience in the Louis Vuitton store at Saks Fifth Avenue at Dadeland mall. The sales person just wanted to sale whatever purse, and she seemed bother showing me the different styles. She told me she could not order the purse I liked because she could not guarantee they would get it, and if they would receive one, they would sale it to whoever wants it first at the store at that moment. It was the attitude "first comes, first serves". Also, this store does not have enough styles on display, and regardless, I could not get her out of my back while I was looking at the few styles they had on display. I felt very rushed and pressed, and I ended-up up buying the wrong purse, and left the store full of anxiety. I had not been to Saks in a long time....now I remember why. I went in last Saturday because I wanted to purchase a Bond No. 9 perfume. I love these perfumes and have a number of them. When I got to the counter the sales associate insisted that I buy 2 and then I would receive 1 free. That was a great deal so I did it. When I got home I realized that the 3rd perfume did not have a top, this was never disclosed so I called the store to inquire as to why this happened. I spoke to a sales associate and then the manager, both told me that was the promotion and I should have been told. My options were to return all 3 or keep the perfumes (not an option for me, I had already given one away as a gift). I really felt this was very misleading, I love this perfume because they all have a special smell and the bottles are absolutely beautiful. However, without the top it really is of no use to me. Saks is a high end store, they promote their luxury items and exclusivity......sorry, they failed miserably. its that time of year when i get to accompany my dad to buy my mom a fabulous christmas present. my mom has made it very clear that she rather travel than anything else, but my dad always has to get her something tangible regardless. saks is the perfect high end department store. they have small boutiques within the store, louis, cartier, channel, to name a few. their makeup and perfume section is amazing. like arleen i love bond no 9 and their selection is overwhelming. (in case my dad reads this noho is my favorite!) so we shopped around, checked out jewelry, purses, shoes, dresses and even furs. i wont say what we ended up getting, in case my mom reads this but i think she will be very happy. i know im very happy being an only daughter who can borrow this and someday i will inherit this lovely lovely little thing!! anyways when you are there you are treated like royalty. the staff aims to please and is ridiculously friendly and helpful. i wish my budget allowed me to shop here more often. for now i will continue daydreaming of finding a husband as amazing as my father. read more

I went into saks with my 3 children, since the 2 older ones were prom shopping. Downstairs, the people seemed more courteous. We went upstairs to the formal wear section. There was only one lady with short blond hair working. She was helping a client who was ordering a dress that they only had 2 of. Another lady was with a woman on a wheelchair and was looking around. I was looking with one of my daughters, as the other felt that there were not too many options for her style. The lady working there greeted the other older woman accompanied by the one in the wheelchair and just walked past me and my daughter and did not even acknowledge us. She then asked the other lady do you need help? And she responded not yet, but I do want to try something in a little bit. I was standing there and was looking at her, she glanced my way and went back to the register. I then said excuse me? My daughter would like to try on something, and she looked at me and handed me the keys to the fitting rooms. Like literally handed me the keys. Now, I know I was wearing jeans, flip flops and a cardigan, but that lady was beyond rude and then kept going to the fitting room next to me to help the lady accompanied by the lady in the wheelchair and never even Asked us once if we needed help. We were there for over 30 mins and she did not even look out way. Even when we walked out, the lady was talking to an older couple that had just asked in and they were greeted. To me, that is the worst customer service ever. If she is judging people by the way they dress that is just plain discrimination, ignorance and rudeness. She should never work customer service, because the way she conducts herself and was dressed with her hair not even brushed, she should be the last person judging. Made an appointment one week in advance with Anna, who works cosmetic counters to do my daughters make up for prom. When we arrived right on time, she was obviously with some customers spending some major cash! So she pushed us off on another SA named Claudia. Thank God she did, because Claudia did the most beautiful, flawless make up I have ever seen! So really 5 stars for Claudia and 0 stars for Anna. I purchased 4 items for a total of 300- I also didn't let my daughter use the lipstick and am returning it, because the lip liner with gloss over it was beautiful. So even though everything turned out well, it was rather irritating to have an appointment with someone and be pushed off last minute onto someone else. If you would like your make up done by a true professional Claudia is top notch and you only need to purchase one item from line she uses on you. I just hope they don't give me problems about returning the lipstick, I have read some horror stories about saks being rude with returns.
