A wonderfully legitimate Japanese-run restaurant in an unexpected location - a gem of food find in Ucluelet! With no prior knowledge, our group decided to drop in and take our chances. We were greatly rewarded for giving it a try! Tables are wired with bells to ring staff for assistance While pricey our food consisted clearly high quality seafood. I ordered the 'Snow White' & loved the unique mix of ingredients for this roll - absolutely delish. Our entire group was extremely pleased with their meals Limited seating inside - but pick-up is also available

Stopped here for lunch in the town of Ucluelet BC. It was a little glitchy at first. There was so much COVID-19 signage in the entry that I was ready to turn around and leave. Luckily I saw people inside dining. We were greeted by the only server but he did not seat us for another almost ten minutes. I did not understand why because a total of two tables were occupied. Once we sat we were able to order. The server was jovial and working solo but he was efficient. Their menu is extensive but we settled on some favorites. I've had better sushi and I've certainly had worse. This sushi is definitely in the upper third. I noticed lots of clutter around the sushi bar and kitchen. They also have a kids play area inside. If they are still paranoid about COVID I would think that germ pit would be the first thing to go. The prices are on the high side. We paid over $125 Canadian for 4 rolls and two pieces of Nigiri sushi. I haven't been anywhere this trip where I paid less with the exception of Tim Horton's.

Great sushi and hot food, but like most restaurants in Ucluelet - it's a bit pricey. Service is very friendly and lots of tables available inside.

This may not be the type of review that a sushi restaurant is looking for, but... Sake Sushi has more vegetarian options than just about any Japanese restaurant I have been to. Anywhere. They also have more vegetarian options than just about any (besides vegetarian) restaurants around. They even said they plan to add more options. My dinner companion and I ordered the teriyaki tofu and the tofu donburi. We are both fans of donburi (we make it at home), but have never seen a vegetarian version at a restaurant. It and the teriyaki were both quite tasty. They both have vegetables and an ample amount of tofu. The staff are very friendly and quite efficient. The food came out really quickly. They have only been open for a few months, but they really seem to have it together. I hope Sake Sushi is around for a long time!

Very standard sushi place, nothing special. Price is high for even BC standards and way higher than similar quality in Toronto. It's also run by Koreans, not Japanese, for what it's worth.

Nice, clean, spacious restaurant with super fresh oysters! We got a dozen of the kusshi oysters, and they were delicious! Friendly staff and great location. Even though it is on the pricier side, we'll definitely be back when we visit Ucluelet!

The entire place felt elevated but cozy - our table was upstairs under beautiful wooden beams and big windows overlooking the town. The vibe was lively but not too loud on a Tuesday evening. Service started out wonderfully and we regularly received fresh table settings between courses, however we had a switch in waitstaff later in the meal and it was incredibly slow at the end. No big deal since we weren't in a rush but something to note that it could be hit or miss. The food, on the other hand, was 100% on point. We ordered the potato crusted oyster appetizer and I was blown away - innovative and delicious. For my main, I got the halibut in a curry sauce that was just perfection. My friends tried the sea board, seaweed salad, and scallop gratin, and loved all of it. This meal was a highlight of our vacation.

We waited about 45 minutes altogether (line-up to order and for our food) Pros: - huge burrito for $15. The yam is a nice touch - tots ($7) came out nice and hot with the option for more toppings (cheese, guac, etc.) for $3 more - plenty of seating while you wait, but not much shade (for those sensitive to heat) or on rainy days - food was very solid in terms of taste and very filling Notes: - parked by the surf shop and walked over.
