(Pronounced = Sah-kay, not sake like God's sake. Lol) This is a RED ALERT to everyone in the WESTPARK community. I'm talking about Blue Oaks near WP High, all the Fiddyment folks, Solaire folks, Woodcreek folks, and even everyone in Antelope! Sake's fish quality is FANTASTIC!!! And the best part about it is - you drive by this restaurant everyday, sometimes several times a day - and you never would have assumed such greatness was right there. Right there!! Finger pointing: Next to Starbread y'all. Let me introduce myself. I like to think of myself as a Sashimi elite. Not a snob because snobs are ignorant and narrow minded. A sashimi elite is someone who is so particular and so picky, that they have a hard time finding sushi restaurants to be able to eat at. Not to brag, but I have eaten at some of the finest omakases and kaisekis all across Asia from Japan to Taiwan, Korea and China. SAKE is definitely nowhere near that but...it's still in the sushi restaurant conversation. Let's just make that VERY clear. However, since they are an AYCE, All You Can Eat (which Roseville folks LOVE - bang4dabuck) and with their fish quality being superb; how can we NOT praise them for their excellence and for delivering an AYCE Sushi/Sashimi experience at such a high quality level? For $40 per person with tax and tip -- you're out the door at a little above $50 per person. For all the omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D and protein you can devour in 90 minutes? I envision myself as an Alaskan Brown Bear bulking up in a Salmon River before hibernating for the Winter. That's the kind of relationship I have with Sashimi. Lol A part of me didn't want to write this post because I don't ever want to wait in line at this restaurant. I need this place to succeed but I don't want all of Roseville here either. Dilemma diemma. If the secret leaks, you guys will turn this place into another Mikuni at the Fountain and I don't want it that hectic. Am i being too selfish? Yes, and btw, this place is so much better than Mikuni. Imo at least. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

The quality of the food here isn't quite as good as that of another AYCE sushi spot I go to, but the staff is super friendly, and the restaurant is very spacious. Also, the price of $40 per person is the best I've seen, so I'm definitely coming back here if I am unable to visit my usual spot. They were also showing Pokémon on the television, so that's a small plus! Came here right at the beginning of dinnertime on a Saturday night. Only a handful of tables, so it took absolutely no time to get seated. The staff was eager to take our order, and it seemed that the staff assisted each other in serving all tables, given that three or four servers visited us throughout the course of our dinner. This approach to service was refreshing, since it felt like we were always being tended to. The menu is only two pages, which I prefer since more options make it harder for me to decide what to order. We started with sashimi so we wouldn't get full too fast. The first thing I noticed is that the pieces were swimming in sauce. While the sauce was very flavorful, I think it would've been better to have the sauce on the side for dipping, but that's just a small personal preference. I particularly liked the salmon lover since I rarely see pieces of mango used in sashimi dishes. I loved the presentation of the hand rolls and how easy they were to grab, given the shape of the wood. Make sure to bite all the way through, or you might drag everything out of the seaweed! We got a couple of kitchen items, like chicken katsu and teriyaki shrimp. They come in small portions, so that made it easier to bounce around the menu without worrying about filling up on hot foods. Small warning: the chicken in the katsu is fairly thin, but that's expected given this is AYCE. We ended our meal with some strawberry ice cream, and while it's a ready-to-go, individually packaged cup, it wasn't as solid as a rock like some other places I've seen these served at.

This place is a lovely all you can eat sushi experience. The service is great, the servers were so kind and helpful, every time we were ready to order, a server would be there to get our next round started for us. The restaurant is very clean and has cute decor, the seating was also super comfortable which is honestly such a plus. We mostly got nigiri since that's always a great way to see how fresh the fish is and everything was super clean tasting and fresh, the rice was perfect as well. So grateful to find a yummy place to come back to!

Friends highly recommended Sake, so my friend and I decided to give it a try. First, we were blown away by the $39.99/person price for all-you-can eat from their entire menu, except for beverages. Since the sushi rolls were backed up, our server recommended we order appetizers, so we ordered tempura shrimp, lemon pepper fried chicken wings, and soft shell crab. One bite of a chicken wing and the flavor exploded in our mouths! The batter is out of this world, and it was like the crunch I hear and see on fried chicken commercials! It's was so gratifying that if I didn't keep in mind the rolls we were waiting for, I would've ordered another round of wings and tried their other seasoning, like Cajun! The rolls were beautifully made and were a good sized portion! I especially enjoyed the Pacific Roll because of the sweet mango. We knew better not to drink a lot of water to make this dining experience bang for buck and really enjoy the number of items we ordered, which also included tempura shrimp and miso soup. When our soft shell crab appetizer arrived, we were shocked to see the size, since we are used to the crab being smaller at other Japanese restaurants where we dine. Needless to see, because of its size, every bite was scrumptious and I kept dipping every piece in the sauce before taking a bite. We squeezed lemon onto it, which made it that much more delightful. To balance out my feast, I ordered a house salad with ginger dressing. Wow, how sweet and pleasing that salad was, and it was the perfect size, considering the rolls and salmon hand roll I had already eaten! Our servers were quick to check on us and ask how we were doing and ask if we wanted to order more. We especially appreciated how one of the servers said, after we asked how many cream cheese with a come in one serving, he could ask the cooks to just fry two cream cheese wontons instead of the usual four pieces they serve, because he understood my concern about all we had eaten already and did not want to waste and be charged for uneaten food. The restaurant is decorated with such beautiful paintings and very intricate, eye-catching, detailed decor displays. The noise was just right, which is due to the large size of this restaurant, so the noise is spaced out. The only reason for my four stars is I wish they had a variety of desserts! I'm used to other sushi buffet restaurants that serve a variety of desserts, like fried donuts. The ice cream they serve, we did enjoy. Dessert after a feast of all-you-can eat Japanese and Chinese food is a must to balance out the feast, so we at least enjoyed chocolate and strawberry ice cream! We left with satisfied, stuffed bellies!

Ok I know I keep changing my mind, but this might be my favorite AYCE sushi spot in town! So many of these places have opened recently and they just keep getting better. The reason why Sake has my full support is because my favorite type of nigiri are scallops and sweet shrimp, which they have on their menu. No restrictions, all you can freakin' eat! I feel like I'm spilling a huge secret telling you all this so I hope the menu doesn't change anytime soon. I also love the hand roll options and the cream cheese rangoons are delish. There's something on the menu for everyone and my kids love the potstickers, maki rolls, French fries, and ice cream. Every time I have been here, it hasn't been packed but there are always customers coming and going. Service is friendly and food usually comes out quickly. I love this place and can't wait to go back!

All you can eat for lunch! Best deal ever.

You will definitle find the best value for lunch here. I would start with a warm cup of miso soup and seaweed salad. Then, I follow it up with two orders of the fried fish and and order of takoyaki. I will top it off with an order of Roseville Roll and my choice of yellowtail nigiri and unagi nigiri. Then would finish with a cup of ice cream. If you have a larger appetite, you can certainly order more! Service is fast, the crew is friendly, and the place is nice nice, quiet, and clean. I love this place!

Cost: $39.00 pp, $20.99 kids 7-9, $12.99 kids 4-6 Food: this place is bomb! The sushi is amazing. The fish is fresh and the rice to fish ratio to for the rolls is awesome! The chicken wings is sooo good, they can open a shop based on the wings. Tempura soft shell crab was okay. You can ask for the rolls to be half sized. Service: one of the best service I've had at an all you can eat. I've been to a few: Fuji's, ones in Vegas, and rake. Ambiance: spacious and wide. It's a great place for individuals, small and large groups.

I went during lunch and it was quiet and not very busy. The waitress and waiter were very quick when we needed fo order. The fish was good but whatever sauce they kept putting on our sashimi was not good. Even when we ordered without the sauce, that sauce kept getting put on. For example, Pepper Fin did not taste good with whatever the sauce was. Overall, we had a good experience at the restruant. Everyone was friendly, food came out fast, and its a reasonable price. Next time we will make it clear about the sauce lol

We had a wonderful dinner at Sake! We came on a Wednesday evening shortly after opening and there was plenty of seating available. The AYCE menu was pretty extensive, a good amount of appetizers and sushi. We especially loved that there was sashimi! Not many AYCE places still offer sashimi. There were so ordering limit so ordered a ton of stuff upfront. We tried so many things! Our favorites were the salmon lover and rainbow sashimi, and the handrolls. The sashimi pieces were decent size. I will say most of the special sashimi had the same pepper and sauces on it. But they were all delicious. Food tasted pretty fresh and prepared well. Maybe because it wasn't busy but everything came out pretty quickly. Service was fantastic. They were quick to check on us and put in more orders. They were also very friendly. Hope to see them continue to grow and hope to come back soon!

We have been to this restaurant 6 times since they opened, twice for lunch and four times for dinner or on the weekend. The staff are always very welcoming, and we haven't had to wait for a seat which is a plus! The dining room is a good size with plenty of booths, tables, and a few half booths. It's kept clean, and dirty dishes are taken care of promptly. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for a drink refill either. Now on to the food! Their prices are straightforward. $25.99 for lunch which doesn't include AYCE sashimi. It's a great choice if you are in the mood for rolls, nigiri, and other stuff. Dinner & weekend menu is $40 pp, and includes AYCE sashimi...nice FRESH cuts of seafood beautifully presented! I get my moneys worth just with sashimi alone :) We've tried several rolls - Dynamite, Avatar, and Sakura (?) rolls are my favorite. Other notable items: crab cheese wontons, pan fried gyoza, spicy edamame, stuffed jalapeños.. all good! I hope this place keeps up their great quality food & service. I always look forward to dining there.

The restaurant was clean. We were seated immediately. Parking is plentiful. The service was fast and they wait staff were super nice and checking in frequently! We ordered 9 different rolls and primarily the sashimi and y'all, it was so fire. We definitely ate our fill and it was so good. Everything was fresh, everything tasted great. There were no misses in what we ordered. Most popular dishes for us were the salmon belly and the yellowtail. I don't like yellowtail, but that was the best yellowtail I've had. Super buttery. Didn't get tired of the flavor. We ordered like 60 pieces of the yellowtail alone. The rice to fish ratio was amazing too. I really look forward to coming back to visit and get more AYCE sushi.

This AYCE sushi spot is one of the best in the greater Sacramento area, upon entering you are greeted by the staff quite quickly where you will be seated in a clean and modern interior, the space is colorful yet the lighting is intimate, catering to a unique experience. Since it was AYCE we tried to pace ourselves and try new things every order, we came on a slow lunch day and the servers were extremely attentive and very kind. For food we got the soft shell crab, multiple rolls, basically all of their specialty sashimi and everything came out fast, fresh, and flavorful. I'd like to shout out the staff too for offering us some off menu items like this Ootoro taco and Hamachi both were amazing but I'm sure they only have very limited supplies so they only offer it to you off menu when it is slow, definitely a plus if you came here at a slower time earlier in the day is you may get surprised with something that isn't on the menu, and damn was it soooo good. Especially that Ootoro taco I honestly don't think there was anything that we tried that we did not like. I could hear other guests behind me exclaiming similar sentiments as well, would come back!

Scallop and salmon Nigiri! Both so delicious and not too much rice at all!
Holland H.

Came here for ayce for lunch-same prices as dinner but well worth it regardless. I was super impressed at how fresh everything tasted and the quality of each dish- service was really kind-they recommended us getting the hamachi at the end and it did not disappoint-im not sure if its a special thing that isn't on the menu yet as they also kindly gave us an otoro to try for free that wasnt yet on the menu either. But if you are able to get them when they are available you should definitely try! Not only was the staff very attentive and made sure we were being consistently served but they also came out with everything super quickly. Its honestly hard to go wrong with everything but if I had to pick a few other dishes, the scallop Nigiri and tuna sashimi as well as the Mexican roll were some of our favorites. If I could give them above 5 stars I would!

The fish to rice ratio is glorious; they do not skimp out on the cuts of fish at all. My favorites of the nigiri are the yuzu yellowtail and the salmon. These two are easily the best out of them all (and the seared salmon belly, but this is only one order per person). In my opinion, the rolls themselves aren't too noteworthy. But I do check out any specials they have written on the board. We sprinkle in a few of the hot kitchen/appetizer items just to break through the routine of all the raw fish. Some notable items are the takoyaki and baked mussels - also the lychee sorbet for dessert. The staff have been great every time I've visited, too. Once, during a really busy rush, a waitress noticed that we've been waiting for our order for a long time and checked on our items for us. Another time, a waiter gave us a giant bowl of ginger after we requested refills. The latest time, our waitress advised us that the item we ordered wasn't very popular and suggested that we only get one just to try it out first -- and she was a saint for that! That truffle salmon dish wasn't great, but she was wonderful for warning us. We really appreciated the transparency.

We came on Saturday at 6:30pm for party of 2. Walked in and had a 5 minute wait for sushi bar or 45-50 minute wait for table. We sat at the sushi bar which was great. Was able to order sushi with the bar and drinks and other items with the server. We got some good recommendations from the chef at the bar. It came with edamame to start. We got the hamachi fin which was delicious. The hamachi was sliced thin. The sauce was sooo good like peppery and lemony soy. I kept if for the other dishes. The chef even offered me a small Togo container of it since I liked it so much! We also got the daikon hamachi, black and white and truffle sashimi. All were really good. The black and white came with black tobiko on top and had really spicy jalapeño. We also got the lychee shock and Japanese fashioned. Japanese fashioned was perfect and not overly sweet with syrup. Lychee shock came with a small flower on the side to bite for a tingly taste with the drink which was unique. Overall highly recommend! Fish was so fresh! Drinks were tasty too! Would come back! I, honestly, think the sushi and sashimi are better than Kru. The fish is so tender, buttery, and will melt in your mouth. The appetizers and rolls are SUPER yummy, with good flavor combinations. And the sushi chefs, servers, and staff are friendly and professional. They really know their fish, and are happy to explain the different cuts to you. They treat their customers well, and as a result, it is obvious that they get a lot of regulars. The one down side is that they don't take reservations, and depending on the day, it can be a long wait to be seated. So, I recommend that you don't come starving. But they are good about taking down your phone number and calling you when a table is ready.
