Forget all these bad reviews! I'm a restaurant owner and this place is the best in newark airport. I had the burger that was cooked with real wood flame and was cooked perfect. (I was here 9/19/22 at 6:30pm). From now on this is the only place I'll come eat. My only complaint would be that I needed more sauce and I wasn't sure the best way to get it. I was walking to a table and The waitress bumped into me spilling some beer on me and instead of saying sorry or excuse me she was like "oh my god really?" And put the blame on me. Our favorite restaurant at Newark Airport. What I like about the restaurant is they leave you alone. You can sit there use the wifi and change our phone without being bothered. The restaurant makes it easy to get comfortable. The decor makes you feel like your sitting in a cafe in France. You can still people watch everyone walking by. They give large food portions for the price on the menu at the airport isn't that expensive. Two large waffles, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes = $21. I am surprised at some of the low reviews on this place. I am a frequent traveler and I usually like to get a full stomach before I get on the plane and sleep. I found the service was good and fast! The resto has the self service machines for ordering, but servers are also wondering around asking if you need help ordering. I mean...the food really taste good. The shrimp on my appetizer were a nice size and my French dip sandwich was tasty as well. I think some of the low reviews are a bit harsh and this place is worth a shot. One of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. Stupid stupid system that is totally f*cked. You order online w/o talking with a person and then wait forever for anything to come out. Stay away. Right now there are 5 people just standing around and yet it took 15 min. just to get a glass of wine. And 20 min. to get only part of my order, because they had to cancel the other part - not available. So then they had to show me how to go online to get a refund for the missing item. Going in, I had very low expectations. I have not had good food experiences at Newark Airport. This portion of the airport looks modern and refreshed. I am not a fan of the iPad ordering system (impersonal and insanitary) but we had a great meal. My husband had the mac and cheese, onion soup and we split the creme brûlée. The mac and cheese was surprisingly good. It was made with several kinds of cheese and had a nice, crunchy too. The onion soup had robust flavor and wasn't too salty. The creme brûlée had the desired carmelized top and smooth custard. I had a salad with lardons and a poached egg. The egg was properly cooked, lardons were soooo good and salad was well dressed. It was the best salad I had this year. Service was friendly and attentive. Impressive beer and wine menu but it is very pricey (over priced, especially the beer). Took off a star for the over priced menu, especially beer and the frustrating payment system that was gltichy. While I understand that airport restaurants charge more, no beer should be $21 per glass and most were $15. A great meal though. read more

Brought my young adult sons here after scouring Terminal C for a nice place to spend a 3 hour layover. We had a very nice experience. Service was friendly and the food was pretty good. We ordered the octopus, which was a little dry, but everything else was tasty and fresh, from oysters to steak tartare. Cocktails were well made and the atmosphere was nice. Once finished using the iPads to order, we turned them down so we could share plates of appetizers.
