Limited seating provides an intimate setting, which allows you to experience more of what the artist is feeling, while he or she is performing. But I've long loved The Welsh Twins' videos, and the theatre had done an excellent job corresponding about accessibility via email, so I went and was able to stay for half the show. I am so, so glad I did go! Every single member of the staff was so respectful, kind, and helpful. People were funny and professional. The theatre is nearly a century old but is completely accessible, including a small elevator downstairs to the accessible bathroom in the basement. This just goes to show that basically every venue can accommodate basically every person, and that all staff can be properly hired and trained! Special thanks to Christian. The Welsh Twins were funny, personable, and gave the evening a casual atmosphere, stating that they actively encouraged fans to use their phones to photograph and film and to post on social media. My wheelchair-accessible space was enormous and I could see perfectly. The venue had a fantastic vibe. The audience was friendly, diverse in every way, and genuinely happy to be there. This is New York City live entertainment at its best. Ghost Light Access will be publishing a more comprehensive write up of the event and the Gramercy Theatre. Highly recommend attending events here!

The Gramercy Theatre is the same spot for the annual Intern Queen Event since the year of 2011…read more Sometimes, the space is used for concerts. Considered as decent size for a venue. Bag policy is strictly enforced with everyone's bags getting searched through by security guards before gaining entry to the event and/or venue. However, the capacity wise of the basement can get jam-packed very quickly with a few hundreds of attendees. Several separate rooms are downstairs if there happen to be different stations/activations going on. - Simple Hairstyling - Hair Tinsel - Photo Booth - Water Bottle Engraving - Keychain Charm Station - Snack Corner The stage area by the front is raised and medium-size in the main room. Better for a smaller and more intimate crowd of audience. For the Intern Queen event, rows of folded chairs are temporarily being set up very close to the stage. Therefore, not much room is in between of each row either. As for concerts, the seating area would usually be used as general admission standing room instead. Limited rows of older theater-style seating are within all the way towards the back. There seems to be no bad or abstract views in the theater from whichever seat you happen to be sitting in. Only one LED screen is found for the audience to see whatever is happening on stage which is better than nothing I guess. Although like most of the broadway theaters in Times Square, the legroom here at Gramercy Theatre is tightly-spaced and almost inadequate as well. Just imagine the uncomfortable feeling of your knees pressing against the back of the seat if someone in front of you is leaning back in his/her seat. You would just have to bear with it for the time being if you happen to be taller or have a bigger body frame. Small bar area on each corner of the section where the folded chairs are. Drinks are super expensive on the menu. There're both men's and women's restrooms located on the lower level. Size wise is on the smaller side. Pretty clean for the most part though inside the stall.

Literally last row. I could practically touch the ceiling. My daughter bought the tix -- they weren't cheap -- we could barely see Jacob (that's not so important) but there's an echo as you ascend. (And that IS important at a concert.) There was a guy in front of us, maybe 6', not huge, who was too tall for his seat. There was no room for his legs or feet. He stood for two hours. Then a corpulent gentleman plopped down in the vacated seat. He didn't fit. So --- a big NO to the top of Carnegie Hall. But a big YES to Jacob Collier. His talent is astounding and his covers of music I grew up with are innovative and simply fabulous.

Be prepared, your picture will be taken to be put on the theater's website. My sister won tickets to the Sara Bareilles show and after another long day of shoveling snow it was the perfect ending to a tiring day.
