Overall, it's a fun water park, but there are definitely a few things to keep in mind before you go. The day of the week makes a HUGE difference. I've had the best experiences going during the week on a school day because you can actually ride everything without waiting in ridiculously long lines. On one visit, one of the lines took forever because the machine that brings the floats back up broke down and someone had to come fix it. One thing that really disappointed me was the music. Since Rapids is supposed to be a family/kid-oriented water park, I was surprised by how ratchet and inappropriate some of the DJ's music was. Even as an adult, I found it distasteful and really not appropriate for a place where there are so many children. The park could also be cleaner. The bathrooms in particular were pretty disgusting and didn't seem well maintained. The food is definitely overpriced, but that's expected at an amusement park. You also can't bring your own food into the park, so you're pretty much stuck purchasing food there. That being said, I actually thought the food was pretty good for what it is! I do think Rapids is really cute for kids, especially with all of the themed children's areas and slides. I still have fun every time I go, but I think it's important to set your expectations. Go on a weekday if you can, expect long lines on busy days, and be prepared for some cleanliness and music issues. Overall, it's still a fun day out, but there are definitely some things I think the park could improve.

There's no express lines, one line for everyone If rapids management decided to limit there ticket sales to a correct amount of tickets everyone could get on all the slides, enjoy the lazy river and not miss out on anything Unfortunately you will miss out on slides because the lines are too long. Even if you get there at opening time Trust me we did it, it's impossible. Unless maybe you go on a weekday

Lots to do eat and see and they are okay with outside food with lots of picnic areas. We did the giraffe painting premium experience which was worth it since it also includes admission into the park. We loved the lorikeet area and paid $3 for the juice to feed the lorikeets (card only, no cash). There is a nice water park area for the kids. The best time to see all the animals is in the morning when they open, that's when they get fed and you're most likely going to have an animal walk in front of your car, so cool!

This is perfect for little kids but not so much for older kids. There is a lifeguard there at all times, only watching this splashpad, which is very cool. Still must be very watchful as a parent. I wish there was more shade for seated, watching parents, but so be it. There is a shady picnic grassy area adjacent to the splash pad that can easily be used to host a birthday party. The picnic tables are not close enough to the splashpad to be able to watch your kids from here. This whole area is fenced in and only accessible by coming through the front of the Aquatic Center's check in gate. Then only those who purchase additional tickets can enter this area to use the splash pad. My friend brought coolers and had a nice party here. We first noticed the splash pad during swimming lessons here. Since it is inside of the Aquatic Center, it is not very visible from the road. Please note that only bathing suits are allowed; no normal shorts are allowed. They will enforce this! Plenty of parking in the parking lot.

My husband had a great time, as did my 11 year old. The cable park was a little difficult for the 11 year-old, but they did have knee boards which are easier for kids. There is a stand that sells food and beverages, including adult beverages. The lifeguards were high school / college kids and they regularly had everyone come off of the adventure island for a few minutes for safety checks. The operators of the cable park were also high schoolers. The lines for the cable park can get long/move slowly.

I don't understand why they call it sessions, as it is basically 1 hours or 2 hours, but I suppose if you show up late then you don't get a full hour, as the sessions begin on the hour. The parents sat under limited shade in the overlooking bar and patio area. Even though online it says no outside food or drinks are allowed, multiple people having birthday parties brought their own food. Which is great, since the food and beverages they sell onsite are very very limited. Adults and kids run around and jump on the inflatable course. My kids loved it and had an amazing time. I'm glad they have breaks in between the sessions so kids are forced to rest and drink water. I have to say, it was a bit nerve wracking to have my kids basically unsupervised around adult strangers. Adults bouncing around can cause little kids to fly in the air. I think this would be fun for a larger group that knows each other. The 2 onsite employees did little to support the rules- rules like not pushing people off the inflatables, for example. More than 1 time, a group of older kids flipped part of the course over, which was also nerve wracking. I would probably only return on a weekday with my kids instead of a weekend, to avoid being around too many adults during a session.

Really nice place with friendly attentive lifeguards. Every time we have come here the people working the checkout have been bizarre. When I came here yesterday I went out of my way to be friendly, and yet someone called Erin or Erica butted her way into the conversation. She's like going on and on about this is your receipt for a rain check and if you get it wet we aren't stamping it and you're not getting back in here, that's your responsibility. Who even talks like that? Sad. It was really clear that her anger had little to do with us. So then I'm like saying well I don't have any compartments in my bag could I just leave my receipt here and write my name on it in case the park closes or it would get wet and she's saying we have over 400 people here a day and that's not my problem. The young girl we started our conversation with had much better social awareness. When we did inevitably get a rain check they said oh you have 3 days to come back but we're closed for maintenance on one of them. So for us that would have been the only day we could return without having to skip a summer class that we already pay for. Tone deaf.

I came with my two kids (3 and 6), my parents, my brother and his family (1 and 6) and my high school friends and their kids (9 and 12) and EVERYONE had a blast! The key was to get there early so you could enjoy all the attractions without the lines that form as the day goes on. We found loungers right away, grabbed tubes and hit the lazy river, and after a few relaxing laps, we headed for the splash pad. My 3 year old didn't leave there for the rest of the day. He was completely enthralled with all of the splash features, water slides, and fun that surrounded him. The water was just deep enough that he could float around on his stomach but not deep enough to ever be too worried. The older kids and myself hit the big slides, which were a blast. For a small waterpark, these were solid. The design kept you on your toes and they picked up enough speed to give you a little rush. They have an onsite cafe but they also allow you to bring in your own cooler, which is amazing! We packed a picnic and had a great lunch as a group. The one pro-tip I have is to book a FUNBRELLA! We thought about it too late, but these shaded pavilions are perfect for groups and reasonably priced so you don't even need a special occasion to get one.
