We had a great time here. We came on a Friday, a few minutes before opening time. The line wasn't long to get in nor was it long for the rides. We came prepared with food and drinks so we didn't have to spend money on that. The staff were friendly, consist of mostly teenagers. The vibe was relaxing. There are things to love about Rapids Waterpark and thanks to hate about Rapids Waterpark. Let's start with what's to love. Raising a water-loving eight-year-old daughter, she loved visiting for an entire day! There are plenty of waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and more. Never was she bored. Visiting on a Sunday in July right after a storm (they made everyone get out of the water for two hours), it was fairly empty. We barely had to wait in any lines, including Thunder. Overall, it was a good experience, but be warned that it's expensive! It cost the same price to get a season pass and for three of us, it was over $200. Then, you have to pay for parking ($30) and $20 for a small locker for the day. Food is overpriced and not great. The park is also dirty and the water can get gross. Staff are not very friendly and very, very slow at their jobs so slides can get backed up. If you have the cash and patience, it makes for a fun day. read more

Rapids 21+ AfterHours was exactly what I expected. 7/18/2025 event was sold out and lines were long. Out of the 3 hours everyone averaged at least 1 slide. With the amount of people I'm surprised it was a very controlled crowd. You had a DJ at the foam party, a DJ at the wave pool party, the bars were packed, the slides were packed, the Lazy River was closed.... Overall it was a good time. Always looking for family fun during the summer, and anything water related is even better. We went for our first visit on Memorial Day weekend, and boy was it packed (avoid on holidays if you don't want to wait 30 minutes plus per ride). After our visit, we decided to take advantage of the current deal on their season pass (buy a gold and get upgraded to platinum). Have managed to get our value out of the passes, but have found that weekday visits are less busy, so you get more time on the rides instead of on line waiting! Included with each platinum season pass for unlimited entry, came 4 guest passes, parking, souvenir cups with discounted refills, entry to adult nights, and discounted park food. Overall, we like the park, but there are some negatives. The new Mega Mayhem ride is constantly glitching and it causes significant delays. The park gets trashed by park goers fairly quickly and the place reeks of urine (even not near bathrooms). Several rides appeared to be closed for the season. There is an overgrowth of bushes impeding traffic on the step bridge that separates the two halves of the park (a simple fix). Even though line saving is not permitted, it happens, and it's a nuisance when you've been waiting patiently. There are some great lifeguards that seem like they love their job and make the experience fun for attendees, and then there are those that are miserable. read more

It's been a while since we've been to Rapids Water Park and seems to have gone downhill and needs to keep up with other water parks with some new and exciting rides. Service was lacking and every employee encountered was rude and can't even crack a smile. Wave pool is not really a wave pool as barely had even 1 foot waves as it wasn't enough to create much excitement. Soft currents in the lazy river. Long lines and waits, although it's expected and common but believe if more rides open and new rides available would help lessen and balance out the lines. Also be aware when purchasing the souvenir Icee drink as it's sold as free refills but then they charge you $4 per refill after all. Easy yes. We got the Rapids Annual Pass and easily go during the work week if the kids are off or on the wknds. Go early to avoid the lines. Else just go on the lazy river all day or in all of the pool locations. The wave pool is so fun with trendy music. If you are a Florida local, do it. Rapids waterpark is no Disney or Universal but it doesn't present a pretty good entertainment options in South Florida. They always have new rides coming up and sometime they take down a few for maintenance, so check out their website for current information. The lockers are available in two sizes but I found them pretty expensive. I would suggest renting the smaller one and keep most of your stuff in the car itself and bring only the valuables to put in your locker. I got small bruises on my elbows on a couple of rides so be pretty careful with your stance while riding. Kids loved it. Definitely got busy after lunch, but they had free rein of the park before lunch. They had lots of fun.

I went with family and friends. We each got all day/season passes which were charged twice on all of our cards, that was pretty confusing. We tried to find seating and that was a MAJOR issue. There were many empty seats with simply a bag or a pair of shoes on them with nobody sitting in them. But as the worker I spoke with told me, it's "first come first serve" when it comes to finding a place to sit. So, with about 50 empty chairs with only towels or shoes on them, we only found a place to sit on an open space on a wall. This is giving me Carnival Cruise vibes and the staff is pretty dismissive about it. I think this issue is something that needs addressing because people can't hold chairs for 5-6 hours at a time unattended with simply their belongings. It's unfair to those who genuinely want to use the free seating to actually sit. read more

We are visiting from PA and had a kayaking trip cancelled for wind, this was a back up plan on a whim. We arrived around noon, it was tough to find a chair for our bag and towels, but we managed! Our teens loved the drop slide, the raft rides, and the aqua coaster! We had plenty to entertain us and were able to ride everything we wanted between noon and 6pm. Sadly, there are tons of line jumpers, rude people stealing rafts ahead of those that are waiting, and the food is expensive. But, the kids who work there are trying, and the public is a pain (but not the park's fault!) The rides themselves are very fun! read more

Forget the Typhoon Lagoon, go to Rapids Waterpark instead. Besides the artificial sand beaches that Disney gives you, this place offers more thrills at a more affordable price. We were a casualty to the Disney daze and didn't realize just how much better this park is than what Disney has to offer. Rapids Waterpark offers 40+ water slides (including an awesome water coaster) as well as the ability to watch movie or music videos why riding their wave pool. The park does a good job of keeping the attractions within a small footprint (which means less walking), and most of these attractions can be reached using various exits from the lazy river (which you can use for as long as you like). We went on a Thursday, and it had MUCH shorter lines for the attractions than Disney did on the prior Thursday. Some of the areas are a little worn, but your child won't care. They offer so many options for all ages that all of your family can stay soaked and have fun all day. The food options aren't as great as something like Disney, but they are more affordable, and you dont need gourmet when you are going to be swimming all day. My only complaint is that larger locker rentals were $35 and preferred parking for $5 more dollars only puts you a sometimes feet closer than the regular parking. Recommendation: Order your tickets AND your parking online instead of at the gate. Especially when you have 2+ people as the savings will add up. So so so very disappointed! I bought 2 seasons passes for the special rate of $65 each. My grandson and his friend came down for a week and in between planned events , we planned on them spending time at the Rapids. Well, 15 minutes after I dropped them off they left. There were SO MANY DAY CAMPS that there were no chairs, no place to sit and no locker available. The lazy river had so many people in it that you couldn't even stand let alone float. This is the best time and such a great family friendly activity. It brought me back to my childhood and had a great time going on the slides. I didn't get to do them all but I want to return for sure. My advice is to get there in the morning to find some chairs and start the day with going on the slides. We waited til the afternoon and one of them was almost an hour wait. I came here with some friends for their adult 90s night. Now it's been years since I've been to Rapids water park but I loved the nostalgia of it. I'm not sure where the 90s theme came in but I had a good time. I arrived early since the event was only three hours but it was well worth it. Charging for parking and an admission ticket is pretty much a scam but you gotta do what you gotta do. I was upset that the park event rules weren't advertised for the event. As we were sent away the first time being told only clear bags and that's not something I saw advertised anywhere in advance so I could've been prepared. I even looked up the park rules online and tried calling (but got voicemail). There also should've been advertising about which rides were open with a map since one person in our group came for the lazy river and was disappointed to learn it was closed upon arrival. Why did we pay to come in when half the park was closed? You still have to pay for a full day of locker rentals if you need one for valuables (the price isn't discounted). And also, there wasn't as much music as I thought there would be. The rapids employees aren't the nicest. They act all cool and mumble but I guess that's all you can expect from teenagers running the place. Some were also even misinformed as we were told how many people were needed for a ride before entering and then just before getting o the ride, a different employee said otherwise. Despite all the negatives in this review, the positives were, the lines weren't long and we got a free Fanny pack upon arrival. That was a cute touch. And getting scanned into the park was pretty easy. Bar drinks were also reasonably priced. Traveled from miami to enjoy the waterpark & overall it was pretty fun. There was an interaction with a lifeguard who approached my partner and I telling us that we need to leave and begun shooing us away. We were aware that the park was closing and we were simply packing our items into our bag. There were guest next to us as well and the same lifeguard approached them shooing them telling them " we're closed, get up". This water park was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I remember it only having the four yellow slides, concession stand, and free parking. It added the lazy river a few years later. My oh my has it changed over the years to today. When we went to kick off the 4th of July weekend yesterday, there was quite a crowd there. it was $15 for parking. Yikes! I honestly think that's ridiculous since you have to pay $49.99 a person for admission. It used to be 10 bucks for admission back in the day. Call me old school! I get it with all of the enhancements and slides that were added since it's been over 20 years ago. Take advantage of the coupons that you can get if you can. We were able to save five bucks off each person with the ones we had. We can save 20 bucks off in September through November, which saves almost half. They also have a sunset admission price starting at 4 p.m. for $25 a person. I'm not sure if that is enough time to do everything there. Since we spent a majority of the day there, you would think we would have done everything. Not quite. I went on a few of the water slides. The bigger and tall ones will have wait for them. Some of them took about a half hour or longer. If it was just my husband and I, we wouldn't have mind the wait, but when there are children, it was quite the opposite. My 8 year old son wasn't too thrilled about waiting and he complained about it until we got closer to getting on, which he was excited about. I figured that since it was a holiday weekend, it was going to be packed and long lines. We did manage to do the lazy river a few times and the four of us went around it a couple times each time we went on. The Old Yellar, Big Red, Rapids Racer, Body Blasters, Big Surf, and Tubing Tornadoes were the ones I was able to go on and the kids got on all of the kids ones. There is a height and weight restriction on a majority of the slides that require mats and tubes to sit on for the them and the lifeguards are checking each person before they let you on. There were quite a few people that had to leave the slide if they didn't meet requirements, so good luck trying to fool them since they don't play with safety. You are welcome to bring coolers into the park and you have to sit in a certain area if you do that. We skipped all of that and just bought food there throughout the day. There is one water bottle allowed per person, so be sure to do that since it can add up there when purchasing drinks and food there. We probably spent over 75 bucks on that consisted of fries, mozzarella sticks, a slushie, a waterproof phone cover, a Riptide cocktail, two Dipping Dots ice creams, and whatever else I may be forgetting...lol. Would I go again? You betcha! It will burn a hole in your wallet and you tend to forget about it once you're in the water. I felt like a kid again along with my husband and our kids soaking up all of the fun. There are plenty of lifeguards that were at the park observing everything. I wish that they would offer more perks to the price if we weren't able to go on all of the slides and get rid of that stupid parking fee. My review would be 4 stars. However, you're paying full price and a third of the waterpark is closed for construction/renovations. Fun place to take the kids! Lots of different style water slides. If you get there early, parking is easy & fast. 15$ You can bring your own food to save . The food selection is very limited & expensive. There is a picnic area near entrance of park, which was very nice and convenient. We brought a cooler full of stuff. They check your bags so don't try and bring outside food or drinks into the park. However, they do let you bring one water bottle per person in to the waterpark. There are a few places to get alcoholic beverages if you like. Not cheap of course. Admission to park is kind of expensive. It cost us $60 per person, but I would say it is worth going at least once. It will take you all day to ride everything. The lines were fairly long on Sunday......about 30+ minutes per ride..... obviously during the week if it's a bit shorter. The rides were thrilling and fun. Not your basic water slides. There are weight limits before you can ride. Make sure to read about them or you won't be able to ride. They are short on staff, so not everything is open and it makes the wait times longer. There is a large wave pool , which the kids loved, with music videos playing. There were plenty of restrooms and no lines. There was also no problem leaving the park. I've been here 15 years and always wanted to go but unfortunately my Hubby doesn't know how to swim so it was never on the top of his list. Fast forward to more recently, my friends wanted to plan a trip to Rapids Water Park with all of our kids for their Spring break. I was excited so we planned a day off and prepared. We were going to order the tickets in advance, but decided to just do when we got there. Next time we may get the annual pass since it's cheaper, but we don't know when or if we'll be back. Next time we may also pay for a cabana if we decide to stay for a whole day. I ended up with a mean sunburn that has healed but it still looks like I have my bathing suit on LOL It was a fun time and my kids really enjoyed the wave pool and the tube sliding. Just visited this park. And like a recent review, there is a lack of tubes causing bottle necks!! We went there on Saturday and somewhat enjoyed it. You have a huge mismanagement of rides!! Black thunder had a lack of tubes while blue thunder had too many of them. This caused riders to have wait over an hour because there was only 2 tubes to serve black thunder!! On top of all this, there was a blue shirt worker that would keep interrupting the other workers with jokes and laughter, not doing her job and further holding up lines! my sweet boyfriend brought me here for my 21st birthday to have fun we love water rides but we were only able to go on 2 rides in 3 hours.. we waited 1.5hrs to get on the black n white slide that lasted probably 15 seconds and they were weighing people for 2 separate rides on one scale which made it take forever not to mention the workers were so rude lol i was trying to ask the girl if i was sitting correctly on the tube and she didn't even answer or even look at us before pushing us down the ride.. didn't have one nice exchange with any worker there lol soooooo overpriced they don't care they will let everyone in and have no sense of urgency to get anyone on the rides ur paying to sit in line mostly unless you want to sit in the lazy river or wave pool with all the babies peeing in it read more

First, raised parking fees up to $15! Upon entering the park found out that 4 major big slides were closed without any explanation! The concession stand was closed as well! The rides are fun and staff was pleasant and kept things moving. However, Rapids needs to crack down on line holders. We waited 90 minutes for EACH of the major rides (black thunder, big red, blue thunder) and at least a third of the wait was due to line holders routinely trying to game the system by letting their friends skip an hour's wait to join them. Signs clearly state "no line skipping or holding" but this needs to be more strictly enforced. One man swore at me in front of my child when he tried to barrel past us in line and I informed him that management said "no line holding". Then he came back and forced his way through with his very large wife. Several other guests were upset and exchanged looks and words about the couples rude behavior, particularly since we'd all been waiting for an hour by then. I alerted a lifeguard and the man was not allowed on the ride, but the wife proceeded to come over and verbally assault me. Other guests had to jump to my defense. Rapids needs to be MUCH clearer about the No Line HOLDING rule to avoid such situations. Perhaps more signage on entry to rides, on the tickets would help. Additionally, staff need to watch out for folks entering lines and pushing past people and call them out. Two strikes (or one strike if cursing/assaulting other patrons is involved) should be grounds for dismissal. read more

Just visited Rapids Water Park on 4/20/24. As a lifelong Palm Beach, Florida resident who has had the opportunity to enjoy visiting Rapids many times over the years I have to say I was pretty disappointed by one glaring issue. There was only like maybe 10% of the tubes and mats available to use and I don't mean just in the lazy river I mean on every ride that uses a tube or a mat there was like barely any available to use which resulted in bottlenecks in line and walking through the lazy river rather than floating in it. There used to be stacks of tubes available at every entrance point to the lazy river so everyone can have a tube. There used to be so many tubes of all sizes in service that the treadmill that carries the tubes back up to the start of a ride would be completely full. There wasn't ride bottlenecks caused by having to wait on tubes to return. If a waterpark isn't willing to provide adequate number of tubes/mats so all of the guests can enjoy the attractions then that is a dealbreaker for me. I was strongly considering purchasing a season pass but decided not to because it was a real chore searching for an unoccupied tube in the lazy river which is absolutely ridiculous. And like I said it wasn't just the tubes for the lazy river that were suspiciously low in quantity but all of the rides were operating with unusually low levels of tubes/mats. Fix this issue Rapids Water Park. My God you are a water park, finding a raft to use is supposed to be super easy and readily available all around the park. This would be like a restaurant not having enough plates, glasses or silverware available to use. It's kind of embarrassing. Some of the attractions could use a fresh coat of paint. The concrete can be unbearably hot if you're walking around the park barefoot. Still had fun during my visit but the experience definitely could have been better. read more

Don't get me wrong, I understand it's an expensive day, but rapids water park is a lot of fun. This is one of the very few water parks I've been to where I feel like there are enough distinct thrill rides to keep adults entertained for a full day. Minimal safety precautions for rides. I fell out of a tube going down a toilet bowl and it took them five full minutes to get me ice after I hit my head incredibly hard. The medic was helpful but I was appalled that the people at the bottom of rides don't have ice packs but the ones at the top do, how does that make sense? We wanted to come here to enjoy the rides but half of them were closed. I mean first of all I hit my head, it took them forever to get me ice, and that wasn't even the worst part. We figured the wave pool would be fun and safer than the tube while still having the 'thrill' factor. It took them 2 hours after the park opened to even turn it on, and even then it was more like a 'splash' pool. It was 2 feet deep and barely moved. The people at the cafeteria were rude, they played god awful retail music all over the park (never in my life have I seen a giant screen play music VIDEOS over a wave pool. what's the appeal there?) This park can be fun just bring a helmet & hope they have hired more lifeguards by the time you go so they can actually help you out on time. read more
