Food is great and authentic as always. Service was nice and friendly. Easy parking as there's a huge lot in front. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Would highly recommend!

One of my favorite pho restaurants in San Diego, this place has been a staple for many, many years. Known for their variety of menu items, literally the menu is never ending. Everything here is delish. I only took pics from my recent trip but I highly recommend the pho (of course), eggrolls, rare beef salad, boneless crispy duck, fried pork ribs, grilled pork vermicelli, and all of their rice dishes. Spring rolls are huge! Packed with fresh veggies, pork and shrimp. You won't feel guilty eating them. It's almost like eating a salad on the go. I also ordered their banh xeo, crispy, filled with veggies, shrimp and pork paired with their sauce and option to eat with lettuce. Highly recommended. They have ample seating, perfect for big family gatherings, hanging with friends or perfect for date night. This place has something for everyone. Staff is super sweet and friendly too. Helpful with recommendations.

Half order of boneless crispy duck. So delicious, rich, and tender. The dipping sauce is so yummy!

I remember coming to Saigon with my dad as a kid and ordering phở. This place used to be popping and always packed. Over the years it has quieted down, but the food is still just as incredible as I remember. I recently visited again and ordered the crispy duck, which I hadn't had in years. It did not disappoint. Still as delicious as ever. Saigon has been a staple in City Heights for a long time and truly deserves more love and support. If you haven't tried their crispy duck yet, you're missing out. I promise it will blow your mind. Go check them out and support a place that has been serving amazing food for years. You can thank me laters!

My fiancée and I were craving com tam one day and we were searching on yelp to see which restaurant has the broken rice dish on their menu. I saw the pictures that Saigon had and it looked the most appealing. However the restaurant itself had a 3 star so we were skeptical. I've been here before since I was young but maybe things have changed and it's not good anymore? We decided to give it a chance and order to go here. The food came in a huge portion and it smelled scrumptious! 10/10 recommend for the broken rice with grilled pork. It was good and not dry. The dish came with a small bowl of soup and lots of veggies!

Best broken rice in SD. Get the grilled pork one. Super flavorful and generous portions. Another fav is the grape leaf beef, which you wrap into spring rolls. Food takes a while to come out but it's well worth the wait.

Surprisingly super clean for an old building. They had a dedicated unc cleaning the whole time we were there. PORTIONS WERE MASSIVE! Picky when it comes to viet food but everything here was good and fresh tasting.

This is the 2nd time this has happened where this restaurant just decided to close before the actual closing time. I cut them some slack last time but I can't just keep silent on this. Can I speak to the quality and taste of the food? Nope! I can say their service sucks because they are too lazy to stay open till their guaranteed hours. I arrived tonight at 8:37pm (on a night when they're supposed to be open till 10pm) to find them completely closed. Thank goodness other Vietnamese restaurants were open till scheduled hours or my family and I would have starved.

Just ate here at 4:00pm so it wasn't busy and my party was seated instantly. I love the variety in the menu, it has almost every Vietnamese dish I know! Delicious Pho broth and grilled pork, highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to my experience here. I have been searching for a great Vietnamese restaurant-so we drove out to City Heights. This place has been open for 29 years and is considered a fixture in the community so it made sense to check it out. When we walked into the restaurant, no one greeted us and there were so many tables full of used plates. After a few awkward moments watching everyone in the place, we decided to find a clean table to sit at. We eventually got menus and boy, there was so many food options-7 pages!!! It was a little overwhelming but we eventually settled on the 7 beef sampler. It was fun to try all the different beef options. The vegetables were so fresh and I enjoyed cooking the beef on the hot pot. The beef porridge was good too, but by the time we got it, I was so full. Ultimately, I don't plan to return to this spot, but I'm happy to have gotten the experience and unique flavors.

I love Saigon! Me and my bf come here every once in a while and the food is delicious. Their pho is so good and the egg rolls and delicious. The service is always great and fast as well. My go to spot for pho in the area

So, I'll leave a legitimate review along with pictures. Initially, we were ambivalent about trying this place due to the high prices but they also have an exceptional rating on Google and Yelp. 4.9 on both Google and Yelp, that's rare. We bit the bullet and headed there. Parking can be tough but luckily we found parking in front of the restaurant. It was free after 8 pm on a Tuesday. If you go earlier or on the weekends, I would read the parking sign more carefully. There might be free street parking on the left side behind the restaurant. Don't quote me on that. Like I said, parking is not as easy as other places in SD. There are quite a bit of tables to sit in. It wasn't busy when we went. Yes, they do have a very large menu with like 1,000 items. We are not vegetarian or vegan but we have tried vegan places in Denver, CO. We ordered eel Helen pho roll, crispy beef chestnut and pineapple banh mi, and duck wonton noodle soup. The owner also gave us complimentary desserts, vegan corn pudding and vegan creme. She also gave us cookies and two cups of that delicious special water to go. That special water is hands down one of the best drinks I've ever had. Prices range $22-30. -eel Helen pho roll 5 - not real eel but this was very tasty. I like that the rolls don't fall apart easily. -crispy beef chestnut and pineapple banh mi 5 - the bread has a crispy exterior and the inside is moist. The chestnuts and pineapple really pair well together. I devoured this fast. -duck wonton noodle soup 5 - I really like the broth and the noodles. -vegan corn pudding 5 - this has corn with some coconut. It's a light dessert. -vegan creme 5 - this tastes like the real thing. I honestly wanted more.

It is expensive but you definitely pay for the quality of the food and you can taste it tooo! Can't wait to come back!!

The space is beautiful with that SoCal casual fancy (love it, hate stuffy dressed up fancy atmospheres). The staff were friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, definitely were helpful in making informative recommendations. The efforts put in are Michelin level. They notified us multiple times of the automatic 20% tip that's shared with all staff which I'm honestly fine with. We got the Pig Ears Salad (recommended by the bartender, the best, most surprising dish, 100%, will never find this anywhere else in the world), eggplants (they were still good and plentiful but not our favorite), and the dry aged duck ($$$$, the confit duck made me uncontrollably laughed and gnaw on the bones praying to extend the moment). I will always get the pig ear, and I was initially skeptical of the price of the duck but left feeling it was worth it. We left with leftovers and it's a good amount of food. Overall, excellent meal, great service, so happy it's at a point that we can do walk ins, and will be back!

The highball was interesting and we recommend it! Other than that had the wings, house made egg noodles, and their smoked dry age duck. Honestly I was kind of surprised that the duck was my least favorite. Not sure it warranted the price but with that said the chicken wings and the egg noodles were phenomenal! Highly recommend. They also had a spin on flan that tasted more crème brûlée-y. Very tasty way to end the night. Definitely get reservations as this place got busy quickly. This is a great place for a date or a night out with your friends or a family dinner. Please note that street parking is the only option which isn't a problem. This is a hidden gem in a rougher neighborhood but don't let that turn you away.
