woah! this place is ridiculous. my sister-in-law suggested that we eat here for dinner to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary but failed to inform us that it is an all you can eat off the menu (not a buffet!) type restaurant, duh! i need to prep for these sorts of things!
that being said, woahhhh! we ordered tons of starters to share between six of us, the highlight being the corn chicken and the seaweed, but everything was delicious! the wait staff then brought out some shredded duck (which i don't eat cos i think they are super cute) which went down well. at this point we were all stuffed but most definitely drinking lots of wine to help us in our quest. after a rest we then ordered our mains, opting for...everything! (not quite, but it felt like it). stand outs were the squid dish, spicy prawns, delicious broccoli and yeah, everything was good! including the fried rice and the noodles.
we were completely stuffed by the end of it, but it is possible to go here and eat dessert too as i saw other tables doing so! for £22 a head this has to be one of life's greatest bargains, especially considering the food is actually good and tastes a big cut above a standard buffet that would offer similiar fare.
i have to say that the gluttony involved in consuming food like this kind of frightens me and disgusts me in equal measures, so, although i am glad i went and think it's a very good idea well executed, it's not somewhere i would come to often...for the sake of my life!
waiting staff were friendly, efficient and personable. read more
