Love the gym and the staff. It's one of the best options in the Hamptons for people who want a great gym experience without paying outrageous private gym prices. The atmosphere is solid, the team is friendly, and overall it offers a lot of value and the sauna it's an added plus . GREAT GYM AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE! I am perplexed about some of the negative reviews. I am a serious workout enthusiast and have trained in well over 100 gyms in over 25 countries. I have been to both gyms ,Sag Harbor and South Hampton locations . Bruce runs a quality gym and has a caring and friendly staff. There is alot of open space and the equipment is well appointed and thoughtfully coordinated. If you are super serious or just a casual weekend warrior, i highly recommend these gym locations ! read more

I wanted to be a new member. I wanted to buy a membership. And, I will not become a patron of this business because of the astonishingly inept behavior of the front desk employee. I went in today at 11am and tried to become a new member. "Download the app" I was told. Not hello and welcome! Blank stare and "Download the app". So, I did. After a nearly 10 minute download, and after attempting to register as new member, the app tells me that it isn't working and to login through their website (which is also not working). So, I go back to the desk and explain the situation. I am told that he can't manually add me as a new member. I become annoyed and the front desk guy's buddy says "it's not his fault!" and becomes aggressive when I ask the guy what he does exactly as a front desk guy. Dear Hampton's Gym: I went to give you money and to work out, not to experience clown town aggression and zero attempts at basic customer service on a Sunday. I will take my business elsewhere and suggest the same to my friends. read more

both these gyms are poorly run, the steam room in South Hampton has been broken for almost 2 years.. when you ask the staff what's going on, they never have one definitive answer. You can tell the moral of this gym is low. it seems like they may be struggling financially. I'm constantly picking up water bottles, throwing towels into the bin, I shouldn't be doing this as a member. soap dispensers are always empty in the showers. I really wish someone would come along and invest in this gym. I'm sure the members would have no problem paying extra. I'm sure I speak for a lot of the members here. One star is too many for this gym. It is dirty! The equipment is always dirty....people don't wipe it down after use. It is crowded with too much equipment. Bikes, treadmills, stair steppers, etc are all too close together! I can't believe that the owner does not take care of this place. It is in "The Hamptons" .........we do not expect this sort of place in Sag Harbor! And they have the nerve to charge alot! read more

They keep raising the price and lowering the quality every single year. High staff turnover so the people at the front desk are always 'new' and don't know whats going on. I just tried to cancel my membership at the Hampton Gym, Sag Harbor branch. At age 73, I am unwilling to use indoor gym facilities during the pandemic of COVID. I will not use indoor gym facilities until I have been successfully vaccinated against COVID---realistically a year away. Evidently, the owners of the gym are willing to put me at risk as they are denying my claim to cancel my membership based on health issues. This is outrageous. I suggest a careful reading of any contract with this establishment. They play dirty. read more

This review is for the group classes not the gym. The cardio classes are the best kept secret in the hamptons. In a land of few bargains, for only $9 all 4 instructors I had taught intense classes (p90x; body combat) with everybody challenged and the next day soreness of physique 57 or megaformer. read more

This gym trades on its location, i.e., great location and very run of the mill and even run down facilities. They are not interested in running a great gym. Things are broken in the locker rooms and the staff is quite unfriendly. Go somewhere else if you can. read more

Just tried out the new spin studio. It's amazing! Brand new state-of-the-art bikes. Good instructors. A lot of them have taught at the other boutique type studios in the area. The best price going for rides in the hamptons!!!!! Give them a try! read more

I've been to a lot of gyms. I workout at NYHRC, eq, YMCA, everywhere. This is hands down the rudest gym I've been too. Wouldn't even let me try the facilities. The facilities are small, overpriced, the manger was incredibly rude. After spending 2 minutes talking to me told me I had taken too much of his time. When I asked how they can be so inflexible . I was told they have all the gyms in the Hamptons so they make the rules. read more

It's the basic run of the mill gym. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I do like that there are no membership fees if you just want to sign up for classes. The Body Pump class is a joke with a whole bunch of older ladies pumping iron and pretending to do clean snatches. It can become very crowded because there are no other gyms in the area but the members are very friendly and don't mind working in their sets with you. It's less crowded at opening. read more

A beautiful gym with a wonderful staff that is so HORRIBLY laid out its mind boggling. Even at quiet hours, you will find yourself stepping on and getting in the way of other members. If they just put a little thought into this gorgeous space, it would actually function in a way that would allow for a smooth and comfortable workout. read more

Very Annoyed that they have only two stair machines and one has been out of order for over 3 months, they take monthly temporary memberships during the busy hamptons summer months and make a fortune and then cannot maintain machines for the people that pay for yearly memberships. When asking the girl at the front desk about why they can't seem to repair or replace the machine (she's the one with light purple/ gray hair) she becomes very snippy, rude and dismissive and basically says "thank you" and I'm done with you. We are the regulars, not the summer crowd, very disappointing and when they cannot maintain the machines you want to work out on and they are rude about why they aren't working what's the point? read more
