Tough times through the pandemic did not stop the BodySmart team from keeping their members fitness a top priority. They loaned out equipment and offered classes and personal training over Zoom. Chris, the owner, provided workout videos that you could do at home at your convenience. When gyms reopened, the BS team followed all regulations and we all felt very safe. Annie and Chris are rock star trainers. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We just started a challenge called 50 Strong to really get back in shape after the Covid mess. This gym is garbage. If you're a serious lifter, find another gym. The equipment honestly feels neglected; as if it was all purchased 20 years ago and then never cared for, updated, or replaced. The free weights look like they were bought from various yard sales. There are no deadlift platforms or jacks. You'll be using crummy, non-regulation barbells. The bench looks like it was DIY'd with some particle board, and you absolutely need a handoff to lift any serious weight (good luck getting one from anyone who works or trains there). Only two squat racks (which are not cages). Fat, cheap, rubber bumper plates, so if you intend on lifting more than 405, you'll need to use some of the iron plates, which are not standard diameter, and are extremely loud when landing on the minimal, hard rubber flooring. There is one off-brand power bar which is bent and has very soft knurling. Fitness Advantage also takes advantage of their relative monopoly by charging astronomically for the privilege of working out with their often rusty, outdated equipment. A day pass is $20, a month is $135, and a year is an astounding $785. It's $50 for a 3 day pass, which expires in a week. For comparison, Outlift Athletics is one of the nicest gyms in all of Long Island, with lots of high quality, new equipment, a spa, a massage room--everything you could ever want in a gym. A full week's membership is $30. $60 gets you a full month (44% of Fitness's price!), and a year is $600. I've had it with this place. Do yourself a favor and spent some extra time in the car to get yourself to a real gym. Or build a home gym. Do whatever you can to avoid training here. read more

I think this place is great. It's comfortable, clean, friendly. The staff is helpful and it's not intimidating. Cardio & weight equip. are fine with me! I don't really take classes but I know they offer some different kinds. I've met some really nice people and overall I'm really happy here. read more

He carefully explains the workout, techniques and any modification if necessary depending on your level or if you have any injuries to help avoid further injury and to get results. I highly recommend Motus Crossfit as I am 50 yrs old and in pretty decent shape considering my age. Motus has helped me continue to perform at a high level in other sports I am involved in.
