Recently discovered Safta's and honestly kind of obsessed. First of all, everyone who works there is as nice as can be....whether it's the guys on the AM shift or the gals on the PM shift. (And I've only been there three or four times now, so pls forgive me if I'm leaving anyone out!) Secondly, this unassuming - from the outside - cafe sets the gold standard when it comes to both cleanliness and tidiness. I mean, the environment is impeccably clean! (And I say this as someone who used to work in food retail: Wow, that's a tough standard to meet, namely when things get hectic. Well, post the pandemic, I'm allll about a clean eatery, so bring it.) Also, I love that it's so welcoming and spacious. One could easily grab a book or their laptop and stay there for a few hours - just hanging and studying or working. Thirdly, their matcha lattes are fabulous! : ) So far, I've only purchased cookies and matcha lattes from them, LOL, but everything was superb. Also, I've ordered their matcha lattes with both dairy milk and pistachio milk -- both options were terrific. So grateful for this soft spot in which to land, especially before or after work. It gets me in a good headspace. : ) Have a lovely day, Katherine AKA Kat

Purchased a cinnamon babka. Terrible! Hard as rock! Would rather spend my money at Breads Bakery.

You have to go in person to join the waitlist, and the staff will not seat you unless your full party is there. It is always fun going on the weekend because they have specialty menu items. The food is consistently tasty and served very quickly. A few highlights include: - Banh Chung | Crispy Rice Cake: A solid starter to share among two to four people. The texture is chewy with a light crispiness on the outside. There is also a vegetarian option. - Vegetarian Curry: A savory yellow curry made with a coconut milk base. Really appreciate the variety of seasonal vegetables included. - Bun Ca Hai Phong | Fried Fish and Tomato Noodle Soup: Highly recommend getting this during the weekend! A nice alternative to the typical meat-based dishes. The tilapia is lightly fried, so the tomato broth does not become overly heavy, and the dill helps cut through any extra oil to balance out the flavors. - The beef noodle soups are also very good, but are more classic options. The rice platters are great to share since the portions are generously sized. The staff are always friendly and helpful throughout the meal. Service is very fast, especially considering the restaurant has always been full.
