I really appreciate the time and care that has always been given by the pharmacy staff. Sometimes things happen with my doctor not sending something but overall, it has been a positive experience. I use the Safeway app and receive texts messages when my medicine is ready, so I don't call and bother the staff. Sometimes there is a long line, but that's life. They are doing the best they can. My only request would be that the waiting room for shots be open to people waiting on prescriptions, so the isles weren't blocked by people standing around. read more

If I could give this place a negative score I would. My husband was prescribed an inhaler (on Sunday) which he picked up at Safeway Chehalis. Three days later, it stopped working, he took it back and they told him he had to contact the manufacturer and it may take up to two weeks to get a replacement. The manufacturer is in India. Excuse me!! He needed the inhaler NOW not two weeks. The consumers are not the ones who purchased the meds from the manufacturer, Safeway is. It is not up to the consumer to fight the corporate's fight. As a result of this, we had to drive 50 minutes back up to Urgent Care, pay for another exam, have them send another Rx (this time to our regular Pharmacy), then had to pay full price for the inhaler as insurance wouldn't cover a renewal this soon. Also, if you are on Medicare, you are not eligible for the $75 grocery gift card for a new or transferred Rx. That part is supposably under the fine print which is not listed on their advertisements. It is such a shame that when people get older, there is less and less help for the seniors. You have to apply to the manufacturers for discounts based on your income. Everything about Safeway pharmacy is terrible. Their customer service, their process. They are the worst pharmacy I have been to. They lose prescriptions. Blame the doctor's office. Refuse to help at all. Every person you talk to is rude. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

No one answers the phone at this pharmacy during their business hours. My child's prescription (to help with breathing) was eFAXED to pharmacy night before. I called to see if it's ready for pick up in the morning. Since no one would answer the phone, I played it safe by waiting and going in at 11am to pick up the medication, only to find they they had to turn me away, telling me they had "just received the fax moments ago. It'll be ready in an hour." What? Also there's no line, no one waiting for their RXs... and it's a one dose med. other pharmacies have offered to resolve this issue in 20 mins! Anyway. I would've loved to have this info by phone before dragging along my exhausted child and to come back home empty handed. Being real here- I understand that meditations can take time to process and don't mean to come across entitled! But jeeze, could at least pick up the dang phone to tell me this! read more

Honestly I wouldn't even give them 1 star. I called at opening and they told me my prescriptions from the ER would be filled by 11am. I called back at 11:15am and they still weren't done was told another couple hours and these are from the emergency room. My fiancee stops at 4pm and they tell him another 30 minutes. 30 minutes pass and they tell him another 30 minutes. Using the excuse that they were new prescriptions for me. So while the dick around and take over 8 hours to fill 2 prescriptions for an emergency room patient. I am at home waiting for the medication I need to feel better. read more

Turned away 3 times for shingles shot. Called first time said no appt needed but when arrived said low staff that day. Second attempt said new policy now need appt must make yourself on website. Third time said system didn't have scheduled apt. Even though I had email confirmation. Said would take 45 min for vaccination due to needed to prep for? Yesterday my daughter asked me to stop by Safeway and grab my granddaughters medicine. She had been twice the day before but the line was almost to the door. This is not my pharmacy and after yesterday .... I'm certainly glad. When I got there there were 9 people in front of me. It took me 45 minutes to get to the counter. I allotted 1/2 hour for stopping and getting meds and a few groceries. Not 45 minutes to stand in line. So not only the time issue ridiculous but the system at this Safeway is horrible. I stood for 45 minutes inching my way down the aisle line. I had shoppers excusing me so they could grab some feminine products, condoms and cold medicine ! Everyone is line was gripping about the situation. The elderly lady behind me said she had been calling for 3 days and they are not answering phone. When I walk in the door there are signs that say masks and distancing. There was definitely no 6 ft distance between any of us in the aisle line.... the line would literally be out the front door if this were to happen. Just so disappointed with my experience at this Chehalis store. At this point I'm encouraging my daughter to go else where. There is no way I'm going to do her the favor again of stopping by this pharmacy. As I was leaving and seeing the line behind me was longer than the one I had been. I'm feeling so bad for them that they'll all be standing there for the next hour becoming frustrated as I was.
