Honor advertised prices in prescription saving plans. I was in 10 days ago to transfer a prescription because Walgreens is part of the Single Care saving plan. The pharmacy tech who helped me looked at the info, transferred the prescription and said the cost using the plan was correct. Fast forward to today. A different pharmacy tech looks for the prescription, and at the Single Care and refuses to honor the price, making the cost of the drug nearly $480. Peeved? You betcha. Will I ever shop there again. The main reasons for my three star rating is mainly because of my experiences with the pharmacy department. I've been refilling my medications at this location for almost two years now and everytime I go to refill my two main medications they always have to "reorder" medications because they don't have them in stock. You would think after filling my prescriptions as much as they did they would automatically keep them in stock for future prescriptions. Also my wife was on hold on the phone for over 30 minutes before a tech answered only to get hung up on and have to call back and wait another 30 minutes just to be told they didn't have my prescription in stock. We live over an hour away and can't just pop up when we want only to be told we can't get our prescription filled. Staff is rude as well. Besides that the rest of the store is fine. Staff are friendly, store is well cleaned and well stocked, but the pharmacy department is a nightmare! Hope this helps others in the future. read more

I have never experienced a pharmacy with such poor customer service and clear corporate greed as the Chehalis Walgreens Pharmacy. Due to the closure of Rite Aid in September '25, it is understandable there would be some initial chaos; however, to solely continue to blame the surrounding Rite Aid Pharmacies as the sole reason for the incredible delays, 'misunderstandings', refusal or inability to answer customer calls for hours going into days, the arrogance of the pharmacists and the lack of knowledge the clerks have (yet often offer, and appear to be guesswork to get customers to leave them alone)- it's been nearly three months and instead of improving, they seem to be more apt to blame the customer. I have witnessed especially elderly customers, initially patient and understanding, being treated as demanding, impatient, and ignorant. Time and again, I've witnessed staff placating customers due to their own errors; sometimes it IS the customer that is wrong. That is no excuse to dehumanize anyone. The staff appear to be completely detached from the reality their customers face- the inability to talk to anyone as the phone is rarely answered, resulting with customers having to come in person, wait in lines at times, treated as if they're an annoyance, only to find it's the pharmacy in error with the only option being to take time out of everyone's day to clarify FOR Walgreens pharmacists, what they missed. I personally have used vacation time to help the staff see the issue(s), while treating them with respect without blame, knowing they hold the power for sometimes vulnerable, medically fragile customers, to receive vital prescriptions. I recently was mocked by a pharmacist, who thought she/he was being ohso funny, asking me if I need some coffee, if I need to 'maybe take a break, you sure you're ok? Hahahaha' when I merely was prepared for some problem to arise and have to again explain the facts causing me to be late for work- so yeah, I was def on edge but never rude, just in a hurry. Every. Single. Time. I need something that should be ready and on time, I inevitably have to physically go to the store to explain yes, I have the app, yes I tried to call, no I'm not a moron, and every time I'm patient and respectful as I fear their power. If Walgreens cannot fulfill the influx of new customers, TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS and we'll leave. Hire people who know what they're doing, tell your pharmacists they are not GOD and most of the public is understanding and fairly reasonable. But when we are blatantly lied to, treated with condescension, told that "we automatically refill on the date specified, no need to call and ask- use the system'". The system at this particular pharmacy location does not WORK. You can expect to wait days on a prescription you've asked to be filled on the date it's due unless of course, you can manage to get anyone on the phone or go in person. When the phone is answered, the employees are curt, sound annoyed, sigh loudly or 'accidentally' hang UP on you after you've been on hold from 30 minutes to hours on end, if you can be that patient. I'm sure most of these issues are not the employees fault, rather unreasonable expectations from those above them. They've been yelled at, cussed out, maybe even threatened; well what would anyone expect, having been on the receiving end of such ineptitude! I never write reviews nor do I complain publicly about bad service, products or behavior from those who should respect the now defunct saying of 'the customer is always right'. But this? I can take it, it's annoying and just plainly wrong, but I'm not vulnerable or incapable of getting my needs met- many many people ARE. And in my direct experience? It's often those who are too afraid or reliant on the hired professionals to HELP them, who assume they are wrong or confused after becoming frustrated- these people are consistently lied to and spoken to, especially if not many others are around to witness, as if they are the problem. I can go anywhere else if I need to, it's just a baffling annoyance to me as little as I need from these people. Even then, the amount of effort I've expended just to get what they are hired to give, is unacceptable in this day and age. This is misconduct, absolute abuse and disgusting on every moral level. The arrogance is ugly and readily observable if anyone in power cared to resolve. Clearly- they just don't care about this wonderful community in their corporate, out of touch world. Very disappointed with resent service at pharmacy. I have been getting my prescription from them for years, particularly my insulin. They often have to order my insulin, which I dont mind and call in plenty early. This time there was a problem with when my prescription refill expired. When they told.me I thought no problem they had a week to get the refill. When I call today I find out they have no results, dont know if the doctor received their request or not. I explained that I would be out of insulin on Saturday. This is a Thursday evening, and they say nothing they can do. I ask what I am to do, go without it? Response, "well there is nothing to be done" will be changing myself and my family of 5 to a new pharmacy and encourage all my friends and family to do the same. read more

This poor staff was short a person. How do I know? 2 separate employees one a manager told me of their woes. I just wanted my transaction to be completed. They passed it off to each other 4 times. I'm a senior citizen and it is a 2.5 hour drive, each way, to get to this nearest Walgreens Pharmacy. They never seem to have my prescriptions in stock, though I check the app and call before leaving to confirm that everything is ready. There is always at least one of my medications that won't be available for 1-2 more days. This means another 5 hour round trip to complete my order. Fuel, time, inconvenience, not to mention double the COVID-19 exposure potential. Very frustrating to say the least. I'm sure it's not the staff's fault but it seems like a big store like this would have the resources to do better than this, at least once in a while. read more

Their photo department has serious problems. I have ordered many photobooks from them. I have had previous problems but decided to get another book for a gift since they have same day pick up. I spent hours working on my album late into the night. Went to submit it and turns out to be NOT a same day pick up in store. Ends up being 2 weeks out with 10.00 shipping. I online chatted with customer service and they wouldn't/ couldn't change it to in store. After thinking about it I decided the next morning to re order a different book to pick up for a gift needed that day. I had all the photos downloaded already so I proceed to put a couple hours designing this new book and will just keep the other book for myself. They sent an estimated time to pick up that morning and said an email would be sent when ready. I decided to head in an hour after scheduled time and it's done.....but done WRONG !!! It was put together backwards!!!! So annoying! So now I have $ 70 into this whole ridiculous experience with one album that is backwards and another coming way too late with shipping added. "Shift leader" Gary was unprofessional and rude when I inquired about a product they were out of. I asked if there was another store I might find it and he said "if you want to waste the gas to go to Olympia". He was also condescending to an employee in front of customers, telling him what he needed to get done because the "big boss" was coming back the next day.
