I've been shopping at this Safeway for over 20 years, and it's disappointing to see how much it's gone downhill recently. It used to be a great store, but the quality and customer service have noticeably declined. The meat department has become especially disappointing. The selection is often very limited, and too many of the packages look old or have a gray color that doesn't inspire confidence. On my most recent visit, there weren't any strawberries or blueberries available at all. When I politely asked an employee if more were coming out, she interrupted me before I could even finish my question and responded very rudely. I understand that stores have supply issues from time to time, but there's no excuse for poor customer service. It's a shame to see a store I've relied on for decades slipping like this. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to restore the quality and service this Safeway used to be known for. read more

I started shopping at this Safeway earlier this year when I stopped shopping at Target. It took me a while to figure out where things are but now I'm totally comfortable there. I now prefer over anywhere else. Plus there are many more options for items than Target has. I usually find some sort of food item I've never knew was available. I have never had an issue with a staff or any negative experience. It's a grocery store not a five star restaurant or hotel. Set your expectations accordingly. read more

I had such a disappointing experience at Safeway today. I grabbed a face cream that clearly had a 50% off sticker on it, but the cashier scanned it at full price. I quietly asked if it was supposed to be half off, and she gave me the most irritated look. She manually changed the price, then tossed the cream toward the bagger without a word. No smile, no apology, nothing. I get that it's the holiday season and everyone is tired, but the store was almost empty - maybe ten customers total - and I was being completely friendly. This kind of attitude is exactly why I won't be coming back to Safeway. read more

Had a unlawful termination. The union knows about this. The GM Pat. Decided her didn't want to follow the rules of the union. Took away my hrs. And felt like his way was the right way. Now they are taking there time closing this issues. They final had the opportunity (in there minds only) to terminate me for not using the pronouns for the new employee. The kid had only been there hrs on his first day. They stated I needed to use his pronouns. I refused, was suspended 1 week first, got back then they terminated me, but it was a also a cover-up for the also wrong doing that they were doing. The deli department is so dirty, and they refuse to do anything about it. So at this point I will continue to post and share pictures of this unhealthy kitchen. They won't even replace the dishwasher so nothing was really cleaned read more

Terrible experience on Christmas Day! The hours were clearly listed as open until 3 PM, and when I called to confirm, someone answered the phone with, 'Safeway, we're open until 3!' However, when we arrived at 2:30, the door was slammed in our faces--along with several other customers--by a man who rudely stated he 'doesn't care what the hours stated!' Completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior. If you're going to close early, at least have the decency to update your hours and treat your customers with respect. read more

Clean, well organized store with friendly employees. It's what you'd expect for a grocery store. Just don't expect the advertised discounts if you haven't done the gymnastics of downloading the app, clipping the coupons, and logging in at the register read more

Phillip is an outstanding person all around. I look forward to his bright smile and positive attitude every time I need to run to the store for anything. I've never not had my groceries taken out of my cart and placed in my car and cart returned by Phillip and I promise you cannot find service like this anywhere else. You can tell he is a wonderful young man and I hope he is being generously compensated because he truly deserves it. If I could give 10 stars just for him alone I would. My favorite grocery store all because of Phillip. Safeway would be an absolute fool to lose such a spectacular man. read more

This store has really good and useful items! We got organic dog treats, and some snacks, and they have much more. I would recommend!

The good: Safeway is the safe choice for grocery and quick gift needs. I ordered flowers and a balloon here. I think Safeway has the best flower and balloon selection out of all of the grocery store chains. They also have fantastic French baguette. Their bakery section is also my favorite amongst the grocery store chains. The prices are fair. I prefer this grocery store over King Soopers because it feels higher end. The bad: The ballon was cute but pricey for what it is. They didn't have the tres leches cake I was looking for that their website advertised they had. The interesting: You can order Safeway products thru Doordash. This is super convenient for sending flowers or cake for birthdays. read more

None of the digital coupons work again in the store. Second time in a row, how are we supposed to shop there when none of the coupons work??

I am not a fan of Safeway in general. I am just going to put the out there. I go for the few things I can't get at King Soopers. Often times fruit gets battered (I had one cashier just throw my soft fruit into a bag. Got home and they were bruised), or soft foods get crushed by heavy foods (found my tortillas under a 6 pack of soda), or the staff just isn't all that pleasant (but that isn't always, I've come across some really amazing people here, as you will see). Today's experience was initially neither here nor there. A positive was that I found everything I wanted and that's not the norm. But I also came across several employees that were just not interested in making sure a shopper found everything they needed. I was sad to see that alcohol has become more of a presence here. This Safeway is no where near as bad as the Safeway at Alameda on Green Mountain in Lakewood, but it's a grocery store not a liquor store. I'd rather be able to find the groceries I want than have it replaced by alcohol. When I got to the registers I chose poorly (short line with customers who had few items). I waited for 5 minutes and the line never moved. Thankfully I moved. Liz was amazing! She was very kind and talkative to all the patrons. It was such a breath of fresh air. I normally leave feeling beaten down and hating to go shopping (I don't like it anyway, but it's worse when you can't find what you went there for and employees treating you like a burden). Liz, if you ever read this, keep it up! Don't let the word turn you into a drone. The world needs awesome people like you. Thank you for making my shopping experience a stellar one! read more

These people are amazing. I used to order cakes from Kroger and, after two very disappointing cakes (writing was completely illegible on both ), I decided to go to Safeway. I'm going there every time I need a cake for any occasion. Not only do they do an amazing job but they get excited about getting creative, not just using the typical molds that they sell in the book. Also, this morning I was trying to find two advent calendars before I had to drive to work and the ladies in the self check-out were so friendly and helpful and all of that at 6:45am. I highly recommend this store and will be shopping there much more often!! read more

They advertised t-bone for 7.97, but they're out. That's not the 1st time they were out of their main advertised item. It is just a ploy to get you in and shop there. "At least you got your groceries" I did a pick up order and waited for 20 minutes. I tried to be sympathetic thinking they were busy since they did not answer when I called. I showed her my photo with the code (screen shot from when I arrived) that said 20 minutes ago and her only response was "at least you got your groceries" Attached are the photos to show the timing. read more

I guess my overall experience is different from some of the other reviewers. I shop at this Safeway once a week almost every week for my weekly provisions. And it's been for almost the past five years. I prefer to shop here because it doesn't feel or look like a warehouse (like almost every other 'regular' supermarket. I go on the same day every week (and I shop mid-week in the morning) so maybe my experience is different from other folks', but I think this store is fine. Are they perfect? NO. Frankly I haven't been to any food market in the greater Denver area that even falls close to 'perfect' - even the upscale markets. What I have found here over the years are employees that are friendly and helpful if you TALK to them instead of yell or accuse them of something (gee - isn't that what you want at work, too??). Be nice. No, they don't always have everything that's in the weekly flier when I come in. No, not EVERYTHING in produce is fresh the day I come in. But they get different stuff in every day. Buy what's fresh. I will say that I do get a bit annoyed when they occasionally don't have seemingly basic things (parsley, basil, etc.). Actually it's rare that they don't have what's on my list. And if they don't, I find something else. Overall, I like shopping here. Any issues I have aren't with this location, but more with corporate choices (like reducing aisle space for FOOD to accommodate what I consider to be a lot of space for soda and wine/beer). read more

Jennifer & Gabby in the bakery are very professional and talented! They made a spring 21st birthday cake for my daughter and it was perfect! When we moved here 3 years ago the Safeway was a bit run down. But NOW, it's a first class operation. The aisles are fronted with great products and good prices. Every time I go grocery shopping at the Safeway's by my house, I always stop by the Deli to order some chicken. But this Deli person that works behind the counter by the name of Letitia is ALWAYS VERY RUDE!! I had reported her to the management the first time I had encountered a problem with her. She tried to serve me chicken with dirty gloves on, the same gloves that she had been cleaning with! I told her that it was very unsanitary for her to be cleaning and serving food with the same gloves on and that I refused to accept the chicken. She then refused to serve me all together. However, once the manager got involved, he had the other Deli person that was there serve me with clean gloves on. So, today I stopped by Safeway' s to do my normal shopping and I stopped by the Deli to get my weekly chicken. Fortunately, she was not there at that time it was a new guy. Well, when I got to the cashier to pay for all my food, I noticed the price on my chicken was incorrect. I took it back to explain to the new guy that he had mistakenly overcharged me by $2.00. Well, at that time the new guy was helping another customer, so Letitia came and asked me what my problem was. I explained to her what had happened and suddenly, she got this attitude and started yelling at me! Saying, let me figure this out myself! I don't need your help! I asked her what her problem was because all I was trying to do was make it easier for her, as far as just add more chicken to my order instead of giving me a refund. She was yelling so loud that other customer started staring at me. (probably embarrassed for me) Two of the customers started saying things to her, like "You are a very rude person! All she was trying to do was help you!" As a matter of fact, one of them said that she had reported Letitia as well! I thought it was because of the color of my skin but apparently this is who this person is!! I don't understand how she is still employed at Safeway's considering how she continues to be RUDE to people in this manner! Next time I go shopping there and I see her at that Deli, I will be taking my money elsewhere. I refuse to be treated this way be anyone!! And this is why, I DO NOT agree with the Safeway/Albertson, King Soopers/Kroger merger!! read more

Who normally knows the situation of a patient?? Is it the doctor or pharmacist??? Who has ever sat with a pharmacist for health issues? The doctor makes these decisions because of input and observing the patient. So who gives the pharmacist the ability to supersede the doctor? Have you ever gone to a pharmacist for a doctor's visit? Rather you see the PHARMACY MANAGER discredit the doctors. Isn't that nuts. Who should discredit a doctor? Pharmacists have a thorough understanding of chemistry and drugs BUT THEY ARE NOT RULERS OF A DOCTOR THAT HAS OPENED THE way for everyone. NO way to offer help. ------------------- Because of this poor customer service and arrogance of the pharmacist, I transferred all 11 of my prescriptions to Walmart. My experience is that Walmart doesn't have power issues. They respect the doctors findings. Because the doctor knows what's happening. When I asked who the pharmacy manager's superior was (CVS), they said I wouldn't be able to reach them. I called corporate. I'd like to give a shout out to two of your staff in particular, who went above and beyond. I'd hoped to pick up our favorite in-store made Hatch Queso. Marshall in produce was so kind to assist me in obtaining some. He checked on it, and then proceeded to FIND ME in the store to hand it to me personally. I was so appreciative of his kind help. While thanking him, he gave all the credit to Brandon who was making it up in the back room. Marshall was just great!! Another huge shout out to Cindy, Misty and Nancy who are always so wonderful to each person with whom they interact! Their kindness and lovely attitudes mean so much!! Thank you :) read more

Buyer beware! This Safeway will NOT honor posted prices for products, claiming that the price actually applies to other items that aren't even available. They are also out of stuff all the time, especially items featured in the weekly sales ad. Make sure you have a PHYSICAL copy of your credit or debit card because they're "not allowed" to type in virtual card information (I have never had this issue anywhere else but Safeway with my virtual credit card). So what do you guys do if a customer's physical card malfunctions and cant be read? Do you just turn them away and put all their groceries back?? The service at this Safeway is usually very good. today however I experienced really bad and rude behavior from an employee at the deli counter. I returned some chicken for some fresher pieces that were put out. I was trying to do the right thing and returned them to the deli instead of putting them back in the serving tray. I never touched the food and used the thongs. I explained this to the employee. she in turn got angry and ripped the box out of my hand and walked away. Thar was so rude. Not necessary read more

When I first moved to Parker (almost 14 years ago) I came to this Safeway quite a bit. There were not a lot of other grocery options at the time. About the only other options were an older (and smaller) King Soopers in Cottonwood, and a run-down Albertsons. So, since this Safeway was conveniently located, and since it had a Wells Fargo Bank inside, and since it was open 24 hours, this is where I went. Over the next couple years, they quit being open 24 hours, the Wells Fargo moved out, and several newer and larger King Soopers opened in the area. Over time, Wal-Mart, SuperTarget, and Sprouts moved in, and I quit going to this Safeway. I still come here once in a while. Sometimes, because I am right next door, and sometimes because they have good sales (but less attractive every day pricing). I know some people who like the quality and selection at Safeway, but I can usually get the same elsewhere for less money. Finally, there is less incentive to shop here consistently, because there is no place conveniently close to redeem your points for cheaper gas (No, Gartrell Road is NOT close). read more

Ordered (for the second time) from their app. The first time was great and the second time they left 9 items of my order but charged me for them. There needs to be a better checks and balances when items are delivered. I'm not a very forgiving person so I will never use them again. read more

The store is ok, but one of the cashiers, Leticia, is very rude. Usually try to avoid her lane if I can.

There's something a bit depressing about this Safeway. I think the dying and ill-kept strip mall it's in casts a dreary fog over the whole area and makes you feel kind of uncomfortable. The interior is clean and bright like you'd normally find, there's just a weird energy from the staff and stockers when I shop here. That and I can never find any hand baskets so I end up piling everything in my arms or putting it in my resusable bag. There isn't a garbage can available as you leave (and leave/enter through the most congested opening in the country I'm positive) so you have to keep your receipt (why we get receipts for non-returnable food I will never understand). I haven't done a hard cost comparison between them and KS, but I imagine they're relatively in line with each other. This location is not open 24 hours and does not have the Safeway gas station attached so I don't know where in town you would use your fuel points. read more
