In short Much, much nicer than the Safeway a mile or so away on 99. The difference between the two really shows how different the neighborhoods can be in a lot of ways. In long They're the anchor tenant of long standing in a strip mall a block long. Huge parking lot. It's nice inside, nice materials for the construction, people are friendly, the inventory is good. I've always been happy with whatever I've needed to get from here. Lately I've been falling back to using them when my usual curbside pickup supermarket is having website issues. Since I'll fill a cart online over there and then shop Safeway 'cause I just can't check out, the price info is fresh. Safeway is consistently 25% more expensive, if not more. But their website has worked every time, the quality of everything (even produce) is just fine, and the kids working are all nice. Maybe the other place should raise its prices just enough to staff up the IT department better? I dunno. This store is closer to my house, too. If they got their pricing down to a competitive level I'd for sure always shop here. read more

OMG!!! I can't thank your team enough! I went shopping at Safeway this morning for our company party. I was in a hurry and accidentally left behind my wallet, which had almost 20 credit and bank cards in it, along with very important documents, including my Washington driver's license, passport card, and company key card. I mean, my whole life was in that wallet! I didn't even realize it was missing until hours later. My husband and I rushed back to Safeway and went to the customer service desk, hoping there was even a small chance someone had turned it in. The employees asked me specific questions about what the wallet looked like, which I answered. And then--WOW--they had it! Everything was still there. I was so relieved and incredibly grateful. I offered them money as a thank-you, but they politely refused to accept a tip. That made me appreciate their honesty and kindness even more. I live in Mukilteo and shop at this Safeway often, and the people there have always been so nice and helpful. Today reminded me why I love shopping there. Your employees are truly amazing, honest, and wonderful people. Please recognize the team who helped keep my wallet safe. I have been to this store on several occasions and have witnessed some of the girls in the bakery not wearing hairnets, which I thought was a requirement for anyone handling food. I will no longer be buying bakery items at this store, as it is evident that food safety and sanitation is not a priority. I have considered filing a complaint with the health department if I witness this again. Absolutely unacceptable and unsanitary. Avoid the bakery, unless you like hair in your food. read more

One of the worst Safeways I ever been too. The staff has no customer service whatsoever and there's one particular staff (older white lady) that works in the self checkout area and she never smiles, I asked her for a item or something not working with the checkout machine she rolls her eyes, huffing and puffing every-time like I did something to her. Just ridiculous. I moved To Lynnwood 2 years ago and this location is walking distance from my apartment and as long I been coming to this location that lady has an attitude. This is for the Service Deli. Look closely and see how many food violations you can find. 1) Both slicers are dirty, 2) 1 slicer still has a chunk of meat in it, 3) The bags of meat and cheese are open, 4) and sitting at room temperature, 5) while probably being a cross-contamination violation. This photo was taken 30 min AFTER I first noticed it too! Overall, the service deli was filthy and disgusting. Bowls where they'd sauced wings for the wing bar were piled up on the back counter where they'd been sitting for a while because the sauces were dried up. The floor hadn't been swept and no one was even present. I asked to speak to a Manager and got an older woman named Angie who acted as if it wasn't a big deal and she had more important things to tend to. I ended up reporting all of this to the Snohomish County Health Board. This is how people get food borne illnesses. If you shop here, be careful! Listeria isn't fun. read more

I often have five star review in the past, but this last Thursday when we came in, I left really bummed. It started with Boars Head Gorgonzola crumbles not stocked, so I asked one of the girls who were out stocking the cheeses. This one girl informed me all of Safeways in Washington State would not be dealing with Boars head since they were kicked out. I did not understand kicked out, and why only WA. So I continued to ask if there was anything comparable and maybe samples? She said this store didn't have Gorgonzola and she didn't know which Blue Cheese would be comparable and not dry like I had experienced many times before until I landed on Boars Head. She went on to say she wasn't much into Blue Cheese so she didn't know what was good. I asked her if Boars Head would be still around at other stores then, and she said Kroger QFC was just down the street and I could get it there. After getting home I looked up what was going on, as well as if Safeways was not going to carry Gorgonzola. I found out about Boars Head having a food poisoning incident last year, as well as Safeways said they do have their new comparable brand of Gorgonzola crumbles in stock. I do wish the girl could have elucidated more about the food incident as well as offer me a Dietz and Watson sample, instead of telling me to start shopping at QFC down the road. read more

I thought I was still in Mukilteo, but no this Safeway is actually in North Lynnwood. Mind blown right there. I stopped here on the way home to get something light to eat from the to-go section and was pleasantly surprised to find it right inside the entrance on the right hand side of the entrance I entered the store through. I spotted freshly made sushi, went with the Spicy Tuna roll, proceeded to the self check-out area and found it to be quite a large self check-out area. I walked up to one of the self check-out stations and the screen proceeded to the scan item stage of check out without me pressing any thing. Motion detection in self check-out machinery, sweet. That's not something I see regularly. Check out was straightforward and there was a human monitor available to call if one needed help while going through self check-out. The parking lot was large and partially full, I was coming towards the beginning of the lunch hour and I saw a few people sitting and eating in their cars. Pricing was fair and what I was looking for was very quick to find. read more

I visited this Safeway location the day before Thanksgiving to pickup some last minute items that I needed. The store was well stocked had everything I needed. This is a large grocery store, but everything is well laid out, which made it easy to find items in the store. The checkout was well organized, which made it must faster to check-out than other local grocery stores. read more

One of he worst Safeway stores I have ever been to. Just pop in for a visit and you'll understand. Challenging staff, rough looking store appearance and absolutely no focus on customer service. So many grocery store options and this one should not be on ones list. Additionally, the pharmacy actually purposefully delays service and when reaching out to speak with someone one either gets hung up on or the unkind male staff member says, "What do you want?" And doesn't think that's wrong. Well, it is wrong and caregivers (yes even pharmacy staff qualifies as a caregiver) should do their best to care for people and do no harm. read more

If you want to find the worlds shittiest customer service look no further. I went here when I was on vacation visiting my family, we were planning to have a bbq so I volunteer to get some snacks. I show up I'm greeted with no carts so I settle for a hand basket I go to get a fruit bowl and I almost wipeout on the wet uncleaned floor, I then go to find an associate to warn them I find "Angie" and she tells me to clean it myself. I was bewildered I have never been treated so poorly before, but still needing to get the snacks I continue i go to the alcohol section the button is broken. So I go get an associate to call someone and I return to wait. I am standing at the liquor cabinet for at least 15 minutes before an employee helps me. I will never return to this store if it's the last thing I do and I hope "Angie" gets the punishment she deserves read more

Decided to spend my Sunday afternoon between noon and 1430 and go to Albertson's/Safeway and pick up a sandwich. The "Boar's nest didn't have a line, so I figured I'd be in and out, back at home and enjoying a freshly made sandwich, to go with my favorite adult type beverage on a humid afternoon. After standing in line for about a minute, the sandwich-making person was no where to be found? The counter was empty like my bank account. The sushi-making lady was looking at me and then at the empty counter too, wanted to help me, but didn't want to venture outside of her pay grade. She stayed in her lane A simple sign stating " BE RIGHT BACK" would've been suffice, but no. That's too easy. Best to allow the customer, who has frequent this store for over 30 years to stand there and wait. I realize the Management there at the newly anointed "Safeway" are too young to remember that the "Speedway" use to be a one line road and that your leadership skills derive from a high school diploma. But come on! Get it right and understand how your store functions. Get out from the desk upstairs and get off of Facebook and You tube and do what you are paid to do. which is support your staff that are busy busting their ass and start earning your salary.
