I was so happy to see the Banana Almond Milk again. This is awesome in my smoothies with other fruits and protein! I'm so glad they had it today. The service was good (self check out) lots of good sales and plenty of clearance sections throughout the store. Not very crowed- good. Ambiance was very chilled and relax today. No stress. On my recent visit, I was purchasing alcohol as a 59-year-old man with a valid government-issued ID. Instead of the standard process I have consistently experienced at this and other Fred Meyer locations--where the cashier asks to scan my ID and then completes the transaction--the associate, Sean, scrutinized my ID as if it might not be valid. His behavior felt like a form of microaggression and passive aggression, casting aspersions on my character simply because I do not look like him. Once the transaction was complete, I had to prompt Sean to remove the security device from my purchase. Instead of resolving the matter smoothly, he further insulted me by leaning over to peer at the checkout screen, as if to verify I had actually paid. This is my neighborhood store, and I should not be made to feel like an outsider who needs extra scrutiny. No other cashier has treated me this way. I expect to be treated with respect, fairness, and professionalism, regardless of personal differences or demographics. read more

Fred Meyer should count as a third space. It's got surprisingly cute clothes, a big electronics section (where my sister recently bought me a charger) and groceries. They also have lots of deals! I found a list in the parking lot with good prices for the week. I didn't get the items on the list, because I don't need them, but it's good to know they're right around the corner. read more

First they close the Lake City store and now they will not fill prescriptions as ordered. Apparently, if the medication is available OTC Fred Meyer will not fill your order. Doesn't matter if the dosage is wrong. Doesn't matter if it costs 500% or more or that you need to take ten pills a day instead of two. Kroger has just lost my business, ALL OF IT! read more

My review involves only the watch repair service I received from Fred Meyer. I took my Fossil Sports Cuff watch in for battery replacement. I left it for a couple hours then returned to pick it up. While attempting to set the watch I noticed that pulling the stem out was difficult and when turned it would pop back in to running position. I took it back to the store on Evergreen Way and the lady who worked on it just said it was a difficult watch and they would send it to their repair tech at the Lynnwood store. A week later my watch came back with a note that said "No problems were found". I called the guy up and said that Fred Meyer screwed my watch up and I wanted it back in the working condition it was in before I left it with them. He insisted that there was nothing wrong with it then I insisted that he didn't even look at it because it was obviously not right. In fact, when you looked at the face of the watch, you could see that the movement was a couple of degrees askew inside the case. So I bought a tool for unscrewing the back of the case myself and in 30 seconds I was able to jiggle the movement until it fell back into place where it belonged and put the backpack on. Now it works perfectly. If this knucklehead would have listened to me, actually taken a look at my watch and corrected the problem, they would now have a satisfied customer instead of one who is warning them away from Fred Meyer jewelers. read more

We have had it with this location. QR codes to get the prices they advertise frequently do not work. The scales at the register often weigh in higher than those in the produce section. We have to go through every transaction at the register to make sure they actually give us the prices they advertise and now today the gas price on the sign is lower than what they tried to charge me. And they won't honor the price on the sign. F you Fred Meyer, we are done shopping with you. read more

They carry clothing, electronics, jewelry, and most of all this store has all of your grocery needs. The prices are great, staff is helpful and the variety of items is the best in town. I was parked for about 3 seconds in the online grocery pickup parking spot because there was nowhere else to park and I was picking up a disabled friend. A short larger set female employee came and yelled at me , straight up harassed me about parking there, telling me it's only for deliveries and I can't be there. Even after I apologize she kept telling me it's only for deliveries and I can't park there I need to move! They were five other open delivery spots, plus one person had parked in front of me in a spot and yet gone inside to go grocery shopping and was coming back out with her daughters and a cart full of groceries - obviously haven't gone shopping - and the employee did not harass her at all. Just myself. She was very rude, and abrasive. If there was anywhere else for me to park during my five second pick up I would have. Yet the person who parked in the same exact spot to go grocery shopping, the employee didn't bat an eye. I felt very targeted and picked on. I will never go here again. Short, heavyset, blonde ponytail. You need some serious customer service skills. Or at least observation skills. read more

I have had repeated problems with Instacart Delivery. Currently they are 2 hours late. They did not even give me a courtesy call. Shoppers phone had a problem. Another shopper has just started a 144 item order. They only now have one hour. I won't get my deli order. Also some shoppers have not put my fresh veggies in a produce bag. Carts are not clean nor are conveyor belts. I am a senior who needs this service. They sometimes just don't make substitutions at all, like really, pizza out of stock. I'm done with the whole 20 dollar tip thing as well. As far as Fred Meyer goes they have bad old handicap carts to drive if I went in store. They don't stayed charged. Neighborhood Walmart has great carts they stay charged over 9 hours. I have called Corporate with no results. So chew on that folks. read more

Arrived at 2:30PM for groceries I ordered to pick up between 2-3PM. I wasn't handed my groceries until 3:25PM. App was having issues but I spoke to the lady at the door to let her know I was here The lady lied to my face about it being almost ready and I had to sit in my car with no AC for the majority of the hour I was waiting. During this time, I counted at least 4 orders that were taken out to other customers that came in after me. I had to try to contact customer service inside and another nice worker at the exit of the store in order for the people working my order to work on it at all, and even then, I got my order 25 minutes after that. I was not only almost late for work but this food was for a sick family member that was trying to eat at 3 PM. Absolutely awful service, never thought I'd have to write a review for anything, but this experience was so bad that I felt the need to tell others about it in case they thought ordering online would be faster. read more

I'm really sad that FM has so much theft thar we all have to suffer the consequences through the higher cost of goods & now we have to deal with no more hand baskets. There is never enough small carts & now if I buy an small appliance, I have to take a paper with a barcode to go pay for it first then have someone bring me the item. It kept making an employee come over to me because I had 2 items in my hand when I put the scanned item in the bag, then again because I was holding a 3rd item in my hand while having to get the 2nd item out before scanning the 3rd item. Used to love this location. I still do but there is some frustration with much of the clothing being locked up. I understand theft is an issue, but it's hard searching for an associate just to get the wrong associate who can't unlock the thing you want. I wanted to get a few hoodies but gave up after the effort wasn't worth it. Yes, your protecting your merch but it's from the thief and the customer. Looks pretty on the rack though. Other than that, it's a pretty stocked and organized place. They will yell at you over and over on the PA system when they are closing though. I try not to be in here that late but, it happens. I wouldn't recommend being around for that because they get really huffy. I've worked in retail and restaurants and I get it, but also announcing it 10 times is excessive. read more

I got a shot here at the pharmacy. I had an online reservation which I was able to make the same day. Easy check-in with a separate line for vaccinations. Short wait to see the pharmacist. He was kind and informative. Answered my questions well. They had a printout for the vaccination card vs. writing it by hand like Walgreens. This store is huge and very busy with a giant parking lot. Gentleman greeted me at the door with a smile and offered to help. Gave perfect instructions to find the pharmacy as I hadn't been here before. Sat in my car a bit afterwards and overheard a customer approach the employee gathering carts. He needed help to locate his vehicle. The cart guy was sweet and said he'd help him. read more

Today at the Fred Meyer store where I used to buy groceries for two decades I was really upset. French bread baked in the store became 75% more expensive. Usually on the shelves with food we can see prices. In that case there was not price on the shelf. When I asked workers and a manager why there's no price on the shelf I didn't get a nice and respectful answer, it was almost rude. Totally opposite to very nice polite people in the Pharmacy of the store. read more

This Fred Meyer is a giant one. The clothing and electronics sections are well fleshed out and have lots of offerings. The grocery, home and garden, and toy sections are also large. My family and I (both together and apart) have come here over the years for a variety of things, typically when we want to get a bigger in-store selection of items. Very friendly and helpful service every time I have gone. Good prices too! read more

I've always loved shopping at Fred Meyers. But this one is constantly out of shopping carts and baskets. I hate having to lug my groceries around the store and I always need more items than I can hold. It happens 80% of the time i come here but it also happens at other locations. I've gotten so sick of this that I'd rather go elsewhere and pay a bit more. Please figure out some system to prevent the theft of these. Also, these digital coupons are annoying and recently they've altered the sale signs to be tricky to read. A lot of small print showing Ie "buy more than 5" that you don't realize until checking out. Two stars because staff have always been kind and helpful and the sales can be great. I do appreciate that they've put loss prevention at the exit. Hoping they'll fix the basket/cart dilemma because it would be nice to shop here again. read more

Terrible. I tried to return an electronic item that I could not use and was treated like I had stolen it. I got the item as a gift for Christmas and I think one of my family members opened the bottom to take a look at it and then put it back in. I printed off a copy of the receipt from online on my family member's account but was told at the return booth that "this was not a receipt," despite the website saying "print receipt." (my family lost the receipt and let me print a copy from their account). The customer rep then said that parts were missing from the item, and implied that something was suspicious and that I had stolen it. I am not a big fan of Fred Meyer to begin with, particularly because they are a bit overpriced, but after this I probably won't be going to Fred Myer anymore except if I have to take a dump in their bathroom. The other two customer service reps involved were pretty nice and professional though. It was just that other one who implied that I was a thief. read more

Never has carts or baskets. Frequently sold out of basic items. Employees are very unprofessional and rude in an aggressive way to customers for seemingly zero reason. Most recently I had two women working at the uscan get in my face and void out my less than 10 item transaction because some other random customer claimed it was "his register" out of nowhere. He hadn't started a transaction, wasn't at the register, wasn't in line or anywhere to be seen until I rang up multiple items btw. What a joke. I left without buying anything because there are plenty of better places to get groceries and will not be back. Makes me sad as a previously life-long Freddie's customer. read more

This pertains to the lack of service. I was at the Lynnwood,WA---196th St. store on May 8 between 8:00 and 8:45 p.m. I wanted to buy three grocery items. Can't do it though when there is only one working grocery checkout line and one bank of six self check stations which were not all working. The general manager of this store leaves at 5:30 and leaves only one cashier supervisor. Apparently one or two checkers did not show up and no one was able to open the other three banks of self checkout machines. The customer service person had to check out people at her machine as did the electronics dept. However those people couldn't check out all grocery items at their machines. I counted the lines of people at checkout. There were 27 when I started waiting and 32 when I left. I purchased two items in electronics and returned the items they couldn't check to the produce dept. upon leaving the store, I stopped six individuals and two families and told them of the problems, suggesting that shopping elsewhere would be better, recommending a local QFC, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and even a Safeway! The manager should be fired and whatever pretends to be the corporate customer service department, should be subject to a quality assurance audit. Fred Meyer was not this bad until Kroger took over!!! read more

I went to the self-scan. The container of bath bombs I was attempting to purchase would not scan. I told her it was $14. The employee looked them up and said I was wrong, it was $24. I explained that the small tubes of bath bombs were $14 and the large tube were $24. She would not honor the price, said I could go back and take a photo of the sign. I didn't have my phone on me and I am elderly and disabled, so I didn't want to walk back out to my car. She said there was nothing she could do. I decided not to purchase the majority of my items (including the bath bombs) and went to Target instead. Very rude employee, didn't really care about checking the price. The associates always have the same answer that "I must be mistaken because it's a digital coupon." I show them the pic of correct price & then they check for themselves & have to correct. Unfortunately, employees of Lynnwood Fred Meyer are consistently rude & the managers of this Fred Meyer are not diligent to make sure that shopping carts are available & the store is disorganized & a mess. Ugh. Not the word you want to start a review with. Thank you for opening at 6 am. However, maybe put up signage to indicate which doors are actually open at that time? Don't make your customers circle the perimeter of the store looking for the one open entrance when you could make it easier on people who are about to drop $100+ at your establishment and put up some signs. I'm handy with Word, I could even make them for you. Make sure your self checkouts are working. I will revisit this. Train your employees on basic etiquette and social distancing. When the self check out wasn't actually registering the items as I scanned them, one of your employees (who I shall simply refer to as the woman with the loud eye shadow, or WWLE) came over to scold me because your self check out wasn't doing it's job because I was using my own bags. How is that even a thing? Why is it beeping as I am scanning barcodes if it's not actually ringing the items up? Anyways, so then WWLE is scolding me about this, and for hopping lanes. (So I pulled up to one lane, which was less than two feet from an employee phone that rang, so when WWLE went to answer it and social distancing was compromised, I went to a different lane BEFORE A BAG WAS PUT DOWN OR ANY ITEMS WERE SCANNED. So what the issue was, I don't know.) So then WWLE is now ONE INCH from me, completely in my personal space, picking up my own personal shopping bags and putting them back in my cart on top of other groceries which are now being crushed, while I'm being barked at to rescan everything. I was too flustered to be confident, but I believe there was physical contact. And it was soft and squishy. I did notice she took a completely nicer and softer tone with other customers. I can assume why, but I won't say it here. Let's just say I'm too tired to go there right now, even though I should. As an aside, I must state the irony in your employees physically horseplaying with each other right next to a sign about social distancing/staying 6 feet apart. So I rescanned all my stuff and got the heck out of there. I debated in the car the whole way home if I would return to this location, or Kroger at all. I literally grew up down the street, shopped at this location for 30+ years, and now live far enough away that I could go to two locations closer to me instead, but no, I go out of my way to visit my once beloved "neighborhood" Freddy's. The vast majority of my visits to Fred Meyer (particularly this location) are efficient and enjoyable. Prices are better than the other big grocery stores (at least for almost everything I buy). Produce is high quality. Fred Meyer stocks groceries and consumer goods like clothes and electronics. I can do almost all of my shopping at Fred Meyer in a single trip. Without Fred Meyer, I'd have to visit Safeway (groceries) + Target (electronics, clothes, etc) and + Walgreens (toiletries and pharmaceuticals). That's why I choose Fred Meyer for my weekly shopping. One store for all my needs vs three. read more

I love Fred Meyer. I think that it is like a way upscale Walmart. Better products, better employees, but comparable pricing. It until I moved to the Bay Area that I started shopping at Walmart and hate every minute of it. Whenever I find myself in the NW I take an opportunity to stop at Fred Meyer. I especially like the health food section of the store. There is a large selection of food and beauty products that are reasonable in price and hopefully better for you. What did I learn today? I consider Fred Meyer the ultimate convenience store. They literally have everything. My first time ever at one of these places reminded me of a bigger walmart but not so run down. You can literally find everything here. From groceries, to furniture, to automotive items, to clothes, to jewelry, to electronics. They also have a key repair and smaller businesses outside. Oh, and the DOL is inside that processes registrations. The one unique thing I can recommend here is only when the sun is out the most. It can be found at the meat deli and it's the Kalbi Short Ribs. Oh man, I would buy 5 pounds at a time and slap them on the grill for a few minutes on each side and go to town on them. read more

Everytime I'm in here it's been a pleasant experience, what took it over the normal experience is that I met Josh, the liquor clerk. Oh boy, he helped me with getting started the best whiskey collection I can get my hands on. I've worked at Safeway during my college years, so I know customer service. This service is beyond what you would expect. Thanks Josh and the liquor dept. For the experience I would expect in the 70's. I'll be back.
