I rarely come here for multiple reasons. Reason 1, the location is accessible. However, the lot is not well kept. Reason 2, customer service is less than desirable especially with the staff working the floor. In times like these customer service is one of the very few things that sets businesses apart. My first interaction was with a woman who I asked if they could assist in pulling down a sweater so I could see if my size was available. She responded with "I am on the phone, you have to wait" without ever making eye contact or stopping to even look at me. My second interaction was with another woman who I asked if an item on display was available for sale, she was unsure and asked a coworker over their ear piece to which he replied "no not yet" and she walked off. They both looked miserable. I understand work is tough and they may not feel treated well by their own employer but, they are still at work. The only redeeming quality about this place was the awesome woman who assisted me with checking out. Kay! She is a rockstar and has the most vibrant positive attitude. I shop at this store a lot but lately I have had a lot of anxiety when I shop in any store for reasons other than Covid. Anyway, I used to balk at the idea of curbside pickup and I even got really annoyed when the Mill Creek location took away a lot of their parking spaces for curbside. Well, since my first experience with curbside last winter I have shopped in store less and less. Today was another great experience. I LOVE the new addition to the ap that allows you to check in from your car without calling the store. It only took about 5-10 minutes for the associate to appear. He told me that there were some substitutions made for my order and asked if that was okay. I didn't have time to check them but when I got home, I was pleased with what they had substituted. I love that you only have to spend $35 for curbside pickup to be free. And that's a bargain not having to deal with people other than the associate who brings the items to your car. I like this store and 164th more than most of them but A lot of time there are 'warehouse' shortages for sale items. Whoever's fault there not coordinating is an absolute dummy. Deli line can take a min because people love to be picky about sliced meat so waiting for there preppy butts is annoying. Doors on the east and south side close at 7 to 'help' with shop lifting but tweakers are always passing through stealing anyways sprinting through the door and parking lots. read more

I had an online pick on July 15th, it included Dungeness Crab. The crab was in a bag with a rubberband as a closure, the bag had a packing date on it as 1/28/22, over 17 months ago. I called the store and the manager easy very nonchalant and said it must be a mistake. She said to take a picture and bring it to the pickup location. I called the pickup department before driving back to the store they advice me to do a refund via the app. I was unable to submit the request so I called. Customer service opened a case on the 17th and i have yet to receive my refund. Poor quality control, poor customer service. Be mindful of dates when shopping at this location.. read more

While I used to at least appreciate, if not enjoy, this location my last visit here was a Sisyphean struggle. My wife and arrived at about 7:20 pm on Sunday and parked near the east entrance. We walked up to the doors to find them closed with a small sign, not really visible from the parking lot, directing shoppers to use another entrance. We dutifully drove around the corner and parked near the south entrance. Same circumstance, same sign not easily seen from the parking lot. But we also saw that the holding bay for shopping carts was packed nearly to capacity. We drove around the next corner and finally found that the west entrance was open. Praise be! We also noticed no carts of any sort in the vestibule. Finally inside the store, our hearts eagerly set on some tasty wildflower honey turkey, we found the deli closed and the grab-and-go selection picked over. So, the store is open for over three more hours yet two entrances and the deli are closed. At that point we decided that we'd suffered enough and left to find a safe way to get groceries. read more

I have a love hate relationship with Freddy's in general. I love it because I can probably close my eyes and know where just about everything is. I've been going to Freddy's since I was practically born. Hours are great: 7am-11pm. Open just about the whole day and then some. Prices are OKAY. Sometimes you find great deals, sometimes you don't. Their bathrooms are FREAKING HORRIBLE (at every Fred Meyers). I hate when I have to go and I'm in a Freddy's. They are smelly, dirty and have questionable substances on and around the toilets. This Fred Meyer's has a little WA State Auto License office which is convenient. They've also got a Starbucks and Chase Bank inside and BECU ATM right outside. The workers here are as friendly as can be. There are regulars that know my husband and I. I can't say I've ever really encountered a rude employee here. You can find almost anything you need here: groceries, deli, clothing, shoes, home, outdoor, gardening, kids toys and so much more. A great one-stop shop. They should up their rewards system though. I spend roughly $100 a week here, and I don't get nearly as good of rewards as I should for being such a loyal shopper! I should also mention there are sometimes weird people in and around this store. I don't really feel this way at other Freddy's locations. read more

Fred NIGHTMARE has lost my business. I have had multiple bad experiences at Fred Meyer lately with staff being rude but this takes the "cake." I ordered a cake at this location and had to cancel it last minute due to an emergency. I called the bakery to let them know out of courtesy and was met with hostile attitude. I told the woman who answered the phone that I would not be able to pick it up due to a family emergency and she said "so when will you be here to get it?" To which I replied, "I don't know, I am out of town and I don't know when I will be back." She then said, "wow. It's a full sheet cake!" and hung up the phone on me. I tried calling back multiple times to speak with her and she ignored the phone. I then spoke to the manager about it and he apologized to me. I am appalled at the way that they treat you as a customer. I understand how a cancelled order is inconvenient, but it's no excuse to act this way. I was at the store last week and spent hundreds of dollars on groceries and then I am treated poorly in exchange. Please take your business elsewhere where it is appreciated! read more

Man, this place has been indispensable to me for so, so long, and they've extensively remodeled it in the last few years. They seem to be working hard and investing in it, and you'd think it would be easy to see lots of evidence of all that effort paying off. There's still a lot to like--it's a huge store with tons of things in one place, and the prices are pretty damn good. They don't stock a lot of high-end stuff, but you can get basic stuff for the house, the car, the kitchen, even clothes. If you have ever shopped at a Fred Meyer, though, you know all this. The problem here is that the grocery department is a complete mess. First and foremost, the meat department staff seem to border on open hostility toward the people who shop here. We can all relate to having days when we just don't want to be at work, but the level of surliness here is remarkable. You can hardly ask them basic questions without them acting like aggravated teenagers. You let the store management know, and they immediately know who you're talking about. Then you come back again, see the same people, and run into the same problems. We asked three times for boneless pork butt this weekend, and the kid didn't know the answer. That's fine, but we had to spoon-feed him the idea of finding someone else to ask. He found a supervisor, who assured us that there was more than one in the case. No, those are bone-in. We need boneless. He proceeded to ask just to justify why we needed it boneless, and said it would take them a "long time" to de-bone a pork shoulder, so we "better go do some shopping." Actually, you can just cut a boneless piece off the pork shoulder, if you haven't broken it down yet. We only need a couple pounds, not the whole thing. We decided to just buy the bone-in and bone it at home. Not worth the hassle with these guys. On top of that, the first kid we asked appeared to have pink eye. Swollen, inflamed, discolored, discharging left eye. Yeah, he is entitled to his hours, but don't put him in a food-handling position, or where he'll have contact with the public. Next, the stockers here seem to just take over the store in the middle of operating hours. They roll out palates that block entire aisles. That would be one thing, but they block both ends of the aisle. When you ask if you can get through to shop, they tell you to just say what you want, and they will get it for you. That would work if you were stocking packaged goods, but not in produce. So they roll their eyes, gasp and sigh, and make a lavish display of the huge favor they're doing you to let you through to shop. The level of training here seems to be at the absolute minimum, and the hiring choices for floor staff are peculiar to say the least. Whoever's upstairs seems to be asleep at the switch. I really want to support these guys, but there are so many other options in the area, including a couple of Fred Meyers that seem to be more or less capably run. read more

In terms of the grocery/retail section everything is fine. That pharmacy though is one of the worst ever in terms of communicating. One employee will give me a date/time/information and then when I come in I'll be told something different by another employee, and then something different by another employee. For example last week I wasn't ready to pick up a refill and was told it would be held on to until I needed it. I came to get it today and was told it was sent back for non pickup and now I have to wait even longer because they have to get it approved through the doctor again. Every employee should be on the same page because customers shouldn't have to suffer, especially when it comes to medication. Definitely transferring my prescriptions back to Rite Aid. read more

I love the variety of Fred Meyer, and the fuel stations is the only place we buy our gas. This place is the epitome of one-stop shopping. We buy our everything from bras to bologna at this store. The people in the electronics department are especially wonderful. They always have a smile on their face, and they are so very helpful. One of the people in the department went the extra mile and really helped me through sorting out which headphones to buy. Also, I have to say, when these guys have a sale -- they have a SALE. I purchased a pair of Converse low-tops for $15 after the clearance price. I was so pleased to find a pair of groovy shoes in my size for such a low price. So, I recommend this Fred Meyer wholeheartedly to anyone who is shopping in the neighborhood, and wants the true one-stop experience! read more

I had an interesting morning. I stopped for gas at my local Fred Meyer on 196th Street in Lynnwood. Pulling up to an empty pump, I saw that a previous sale of 35.00 was still on display, and that the controls were asking if I wished to continue. I hit cancel, and the pump went to 0.00. I then proceeded to scan my customer rewards card, and then inserted my credit card, which resulted in the system asking me to remove the handle and select my grade. I did so, and then pumped $7.32 cents into my tank. Sounds pretty normal right? But it wasn't. Suddenly the attendant rushed out of her booth and informed me that I was pumping someone else's gas. This confused me, because no one had been there, and I had initiated my own sale. She then demanded that I immediately stop pumping gas, and informed me that she was going to go back to her little booth and figure out what I had 'taken'. I waited, but when she returned with a printed receipt, she explained that she had been mistaken, and that I had, after all, paid for my own gas. She also admitted to falsely accusing me of theft, and apologized for this. My response was to confirm what I had just heard, and I then informed her that I intended to continue purchasing my gas as the honest citizen that I actually was. I also instructed her leave me the hell alone. She did so, and my transaction was completed. This is not the first time I have been 'jacked up' at this store. On a previous occasion, I was stopped inside the store by a door greeter, who demanded a receipt for my bagged merchandise. When I couldn't recall where I'd placed it (it was in my pocket), he insisted that I accompany him back to the clerk to confirm that I had in fact bought my item. The clerk confirmed my purchase and I was then allowed to leave. In short, I was detained and then released. Clearly, the staff at this store thinks they are Loss Prevention professionals--but without the training to do the job right. I will definitely not shop here again and anyone who has any self respect, or values their freedom, should avoid it as well. read more

I was attempting to return a pair of Bluetooth earbuds to Fred Meyers in Lynnwood, Wa, brought my receipt, the box they came in and all of the items that came in the box. Waited over 15 minutes at customer service and was told the box # on the outside of box did not match the receipt # which indicated i had bought the earbuds at Fred Meyers. They told me to go Electronics I requested the Electronics Manager, who was completely unprofessional and not willing to find a solution. She keep repeating the box # and the receipt # don't match. Wasn't willing to offer any other solution. The strange thing is, they found the receipt # for earbuds but with a different manufacture. Even then the Electronics manager wasn't willing to swap out ! I think like many of the business that reside in this area, you will find that the people inside are almost like the people of Wal-Mart. Really kind of weird and you will have thrity different nationalities all in the same aisle. As far as Fred's go, this is on the smaller side, again, a much older store than other locations that have been recently remodeled or built. This is one of the last great shop for everything stores that are still around. I do like the fact that many of them are now 24 hour stores and they have quite a myriad of product to look at. We were caught in the middle of a spy investigation with multiple employees and did not intervene with the suspect once. There were racks of clothes that was labeled 70% off the lowest price. We calculated the sale price off of the The merchandise and it equals out to roughly 3 dollars per clothing. We then brought our clothes up to the cash register and the total price was not discounted one bit. I then asked the cashier why the sale was not added to my total price. He laughed at me and said that is the lowest price it would be zero dollars then for a shirt. I felt invalidated and rigged woman. The sale lady in the clothing section said that the total would be taken off the final price which most prices were around $10-$20 meaning 70% off would give you five-ish dollars per piece. I ended up paying $50 for a bunch of clothes that I was expecting to pay $15 on. I am very displeased. read more

This is a no star review. Here it is. Please do not take carts away from people that are going through the self checkout. I was asked today to give up my cart by an employee working at the self checkout and I still had groceries in there to check out. This has never happened to me before. Please do not do this to your customers. She not only took my cart from me but I need the cart because I have disabilities with my feet and other issues. I asked her why she wanted it and she would not even give me an explanation. I had to walk out and carry my heavy groceries out the door with no cart to assist me. I shop in the store all the time, I will not be back. You people suck, you start doing this to people especially senior citizens. My credit card was compromised at a gas pump at the Fred Meyer on 196th in Lynnwood, unlike Costco, they don't have employees that frequently check each pump for illegal equipment attached to them, The scammers got my credit card info. which was cancelled immediately and I got free gas that day. I used to frequent this store location multiple times every day for years, then until this very day it's always seemed to be the worst store in the entire chain of Fred Meyers stores. They have the absolute worst judgemental and disrespectful employees. This Fred Meyer is enormous. I was easily able to find packing supplies I had not been able to find at other Fred Meyers. They have great sales and selection. I was able to find my son memory foam Skechers at 50% off! Friendly staff and their jewelry location is very well displayed in store as well. Lots of parking. Only downside lots of traffic to get in and out and lots of vagrants around. read more

Oh Fred Meyers, you're my best friend. I've been coming to this place since I was a little kid. When I was about 8, a couple was standing outside with a box of kitties and that's where I got my first cat. I've had dentist and eye appointments here. My dad has bought gardening and home improvement items here. My mom does her grocery shopping here and every once in a while you might be able to find a cute pair of chucks or whatever your little heart desires. They've got a pharmacy, a deli, and a playground where you can bring your kids to be watched by Fred Meyer staff while you shop! I try going back to Fred Meyers every time I come home to visit. I always find what I'm looking for and it's just fun to browse. It really is a one stop shopping place. I'd support my local Fred Meyers over a whored out Walmart any day! read more

I came here to get some furniture while they were still having sales. And, I realized they don't do delivery! Also, if you pay, they will only hold for you but you have to pick up before the store closes on the purchase day. Well, that is ok! What I am impressed with was I purchased a couple pieces of furniture here due to manufacture quality control and my incorrect measurement, I had to bug them several times. The staff here was very friendly and they got me the parts I needed and they refunded me money even I already assembled the furniture. This Location has gone downhill since the Plandemic. Both my cars were broken into and had things stolen out of them. One of my cars was hit when I went into the store. I came out of the store and when I got home I noticed someone had hit the front of my car. It was a van with plates BJE in the beginning. bent my license plate and put deep scratches into my bumper. I parked at the opposite end of the lot and someone still had to try and fit their huge van in a small parking spot and they smashed into my car because they don't know how to drive very well. The parking lot at this store is dangerous. I've seen many accidents where people have had thousands of dollars in damages to their property nearly totaled new cars. Totaled out while parked and hit and runs occur. I park as far away as I can from the front door so not to get hit but it still happens , and/or then your car gets robbed. I can't win here at this store. With rising pricing nearly double of what Winco charges Freddie's is getting ridiculous to shop at these days. I go just before they close now when the place is deserted and try to buy only on sale items . the woman at the front door usually isn't nice to me "Sir we are closing in 3min" it's like Duh you tell me that every other day.... Freddie's camera system for the parking lot is setup stupidly also. When my car got robbed Freddie's told me I had to call the police to review the cams. There were 2 cams that could've seen that action but the cop said they were turned the opposite way. What a joke Freddie's has become... get robbed while shopping seems to be the status quo at Kroger's in lynnwood. Lynwood QFC was shut down due to thieves. I don't see Fred Meyers getting anymore secure or cheaper prices in the future until something changes. Better cams and better leadership. read more

This is my preferred grocery store, and I do most of my shopping at this location. Pros: - Big selection. The selection of food is much larger then some of the other Fred Meyers nearby. - Clean. Very RARELY have I ever run into spills or dirty stuff just hanging out. - Low prices. This is the same of any Fred Meyer, but still. Cons: - Small aisles. Be prepared to park the cart and walk because the aisles are small and always packed. - TONS OF PEOPLE. Seriously, way too many people. Especially on Mondays for some reason. - The produce isn't.. great. More often than not, when I get really perishable food (things like lettuce, strawberries, grapes), it ends up spoiling after a day or two. It's not organic, and while I don't expect it to last forever, having mold the day AFTER I buy it, is just ridiculous. I usually buy my produce at other places unless I plan on eating it that day. - Long waits. Even on the busiest day ever, where a line literally stretched from the front to the back wall (about 60 feet?), they only EVER have 2 normal lines open. So while I go here every week to get my groceries, I am only ranking it a 3/5. I'd be happy to see changes made, especially to the freshness of the produce, but meh. It's alright. read more

Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies. Luckily for me, Fred Meyer has a little bit of everything. You need milk, batteries and tampons? Go to Fred Meyer. Their deli section is a must because they have Boars Head meat and cheese, however the deli counter reps can be hit or miss. Try the smoked Gouda and the hickory smoked chicken breast and you'll be in deli meat heaven. I also like that they have Kinders bbq sauce, a Starbucks and a Chase bank! Parking is plentiful and they close at 11pm everyday. My friend also mentioned that sometimes they play songs about pears! Lastly I have some great memories from Fred Meyer's. There was the time I saw wonderful probiotic yogurt on clearance and tried to recommend it to an older Russian woman. She was less than pleased and quickly ran away from me. read more

This location is really good - there is a place inside to get your car registration taken care of, a gas station, plus all the usual goods I've come to expect with Freddy's. They even had clearance ski gloves for a last minute end of season ski day! I've been here for digital cameras to Seahawks gear and prices are always competitive. Parking on 196th is rough, so I always park on the 44th ave side. read more

We have been shopping at Fred Meyer regularly for a few years now and it's been great. This location has everything you need for that "one stop shop" and they even carry a great alternative/health food section. I also feel like they always have an appropriate number of aisles open to get you checked out and on your way quickly. They always ask if you have coupons, and even if you don't, they'll often scan their own copy of their coupon guide for you anyway. Great place to shop! read more

I have lived in the neighborhood of Fred Meyers for 27 years and have frequented the store as many years. I have never been so disappointed with the store and the staff. I am handicapped and every time I go into the store the electric carts are not charged or missing. I have used the carts when they are available and have run out of juice not once but twice. Stuck in the middle of the store without power and have had to ask a customer for help. Can't find a person that works there. I wanted garden supplies on a day when only senior citizens are suppose to be in the store. Covid-19. I definitely saw people much younger and not one single store employee is monitoring the entrance or sanitizing the carts,electric or other wise. Every store I have gone to since the outbreak of Covid-19 has had employees sanitizing everything in sight. Don't get me started on the last person that waited on me. I was unable to figure out what the prices were of some of the garden supplies due to a safety fork lift blocking the entrance to the back area. I could not get my scooter in between the aisle and the compost and soil. The young woman who helped me, was rude and told me 'how am I suppose to know what you want', when helping me scan my other stuff. When I asked about the prices and weights of the soil. Now I have gone to Freddy's for a long time as I have mentioned but I have never worked there. I'm not sure how I am supposed to know the prices and the weights of the bags of soil. Please do not assume that your customers know how your policies work and what customers are suppose to know about your prices. Education on customer service is definitely needed at this store. A big sign should be posted in the garden area that indicates price and size with a mention of you better know the price before going to the check out or you're going to be treated like crap. There are several other stores in the area that I will be going to instead of Fred Meyer. Get your act together Kroger and do something about this store. read more

There is a cashier name Sam from self checkout. She's young, got rainbow color hair. I don't even have a problem with her look. The problem was she was very rude and had an attitude with me. I forgot my rewards card and just ask to borrow their card. Right away she's snapping back at me like she got other important things to do. Then i ask her about another thing with the machine. At one time, I would have given this Fred Meyer store a 5 star rating. It had everything in stock that I wanted to buy, friendly outgoing employees, great prices on deli, bakery and produce. Now sadly none of that exists anymore at this store. Everytime I shop in there I come home with nothing that is on my list because this store keeps nothing in stock. I also notice that all the shelves are bare in deli and bakery on Mondays and Tuesdays and not restocked until a few days later. Twice I have stood and waited to ask a question or get help with something while the employees are too busy on their cell phones not really caring about customer service. This is not good at all. I worked for another grocery chain for years and I never treated my customers that way. So sad this store spent so much money on a remodel and can't get it together for the people that like to shop in Fred Meyer. Not going to bother anymore, it's not even worth the trip. read more
