All the sad people going to Safeway for groceries only to discover that they aren't open at the hours they're supposed to be...again.
Austin H.

The hours state that they're open until midnight. He let the people in right before me. But then locked the door and wouldn't let me in. I showered this evening, so I don't think I offend. Maybe they got let in because their skin color was lighter than mine. But they literally walked up at the same time I did and walked through the door right before I got to the door. I tried to come last night and it was also closed earlier than it was supposed to be. Strange because this safe Way is always busy late at night. I think I'm done with Safeway unless it's an absolute necessity. Giant is about 1/4 a mile away and seems to always be open at the hours they suggest they are. It was good while it lasted.

I just waited 45 minutes for a flu shot before walking out in frustration. Never coming back to the pharmacy!

Overall, pleasant shopping experience, warm and pleasant. However, the prices tend be more expensive than the other grocery stores.

Right now inflation and also food in smaller containers, hurts my wallet a lot. What's left of it. As a thrifty guy I usually get fruits and vegetables from Asian supermarkets, or Aldi and Lidl. Here the quality is super, but at the price it's nuts. Giant is most often cheaper than Safeway. That's their main competitor. This one is clean and relatively maintained. Polite employees although a lot of self checkout stations. Not sure what to put down on my 1099 form as this is work. All jokes aside you can do okay when shopping here.

The woman in customer service was festively dressed with faux antlers and holiday earrings. With my church elder, who was purchasing power ball tickets, she was clearly perturbed. She was on edge with him and slightly disrespectful. He did not understand the payment arrangement; but she did not have to be so irritated with him. On to the next customer; it was an elderly woman wanting to cash in a winning ticket. The customer service woman chided the poor woman telling her that the ticket wasn't registered and she would be getting no cash payout. I seriously doubt if the customer even understood why she was not getting any satisfaction for her winning ticket. I did not like the way she was being treated. The process was laborious so I went to the express checkout where Tracey got me a book of stamps with no wait. She chuckled and shook her head with chagrin over the customer service woman's behavior. Anyway shame on her; she clearly needs an attitude adjustment especially at this time of year. Kindness goes a long way. Please respect our elders. They are people of value too.

From the…read moreoutside they looked fine, but when I cut them open the next morning (03/07/26 around 11:00 AM) both of them were completely spoiled inside -- dark, moldy, and clearly inedible. What makes this situation even more ironic is the message printed on the store's bag: "Always FRESH!". Unfortunately, my experience was the exact opposite. This isn't really about the money. The amount is small. The issue is that customers should not be sold produce that is already rotten inside. If a store promotes "Always Fresh," there should be proper quality control to ensure the products on the shelf actually meet that promise. I hope someone from Fresh World's management or marketing team reaches out to address this situation, offer the appropriate apology, and refund the purchase. Regardless of the price, customers should not have to pay for food that is already spoiled. I'm sharing this so other shoppers are aware and can check their produce carefully when buying from this store.

Came to the store with receipt and the product - which I bought 3 of and was not cheap- and Jumona (sp?), a rep at customer service desk quickly stated this product is not returnable due to various store policies. Next time, if there is one, be careful what you buy.

This experience was not only humiliating but also deeply upsetting. I have always shopped here and never expected to be treated with such disrespect and bias. The staff needs urgent training on how to treat customers fairly and avoid discriminatory behavior. I hope Giant takes this issue seriously and addresses it immediately to ensure no one else has to go through such an experience. My story: I went to the bakery to order two 3 leches cake for a work party. One of the ladies was very nice and tried helping me place my order but the bakery manager was unprofessional and stated that they had those cakes everyday and I proceed to state that I want to make sure they have 2 of them because I needed two cakes. She rolled her eyes and told the other lady to help me fill out the paper. When I went to pick up the two cakes I had ordered I put them in my reusable bag and the bakery manager handed me a paper. She said "I'm sorry we couldn't write happy birthday on the cake" and turned around. I proceed to look for candles that could possibly say "happy birthday" but they only had numbers. After that I started to look for the gift cards and I couldn't find them so I went to the customer service desk and asked for help. I found myself with the bakery manager and the store manager and I thought nothing of it and I proceed to ask for help. Then I noticed a guy was following me around the store.. that's when I started to put all the pieces together. I proceed to go pay at self check out but I couldn't purchase the gift card there so I went to an open lane ( mind you they were eyeing me the whole time and the man following me was following me still) the lady at the lane rolled her eyes and pointed that her name was closed so I went to another one and paid there. When the store manager saw that I was going lane to lane he went to stand behind me. I gave the cashier the gift card, and I was putting the cakes down to take the piece of paper that the bakery manager gave me to give to the cashier and that's when he proceed to say "aren't you going to pay for the cakes" and I replied with "Yes I'm taking the paper out to give to the cashier, are you accusing me of stealing?" And he said "that's not what I said" I proceed to pay and exited the store and will not be returning back. Thanks for reading my experience. Also funny side story the guy following me around the store ended up in the same lane as me and was fixing the battery's but he was too focused on me he dropped like 3 boxes of batteries and the battery boxes opened and the batteries went all over the floor. XD I guess god gave them work to do then to follow me around the store and accusing me of stealing a gift card that doesn't activate until you purchase it and two cakes. Giant do better and train your employees!! Thanks!
