Instead, when we reached the assigned vehicle, the driver told us there had been a change and to call the office. Minutes later, another couple--who arrived after us--was ushered into our car and driven off. That meant an exhausted baby and toddler stuck at the curb for an hour--exactly what I was trying to avoid. The explanation was that the previous client's flight was delayed, and we were told we'd just have to wait. The office added that this "happens all the time" and is simply how they operate. When I asked them to make it right, they promised a 50% refund that never arrived. I followed up weekly for three weeks before they stopped responding altogether. On the way to the airport, picked up a few minutes early in a really nice Cadillac sedan and the driver was conversant and helpful. Impressed as this was our first time using this service. At 11:06, we called to inquire about our 11:00 am ride home from the airport. At 11:26, our ride arrived, and the vehicle was a black suburban likely the same one noted in another review with body damage covered up with a poor paint job. Seats were a bit sticky. Having watched the parade of shiny clean Suburbans picking up clients, our was a bit of a disappointment. My plane from LHR arrived on time at LAX. The driver did not. After waiting, I called and he said he was blocks away. Ten/fifteen minutes later, he still hadn't arrived. I called again and was told to leave the baggage area and go to the second floor (dragging luggage with me). The elevator didn't list a second floor. Called Saferide again. Then I went to the info desk and was told the second floor was listed as the third floor in the elevator. Went up in the elevator. Still no driver. Continued to wait outside. We've been using Saferide since 2019 for transportation to and from LAX for every trip we've taken. (We used to take the gold line to Union Station and catch the flyaway.) The first time I ever hired a car service was for my honeymoon and decided to splurge for this trip. It was the best decision ever! The Saferide driver picked us up in a nice black suv. We had no cares as we made our way to lax. No stressing about the time or parking or how much is this going to cost cause it was all quoted and paid for up front. Pick up was just as breezy! We vowed to hire a car anytime we fly and we have done so for every trip since. We now have a young child and hiring Saferide no longer seems like a splurge but almost a necessity. We can request a car seat to go be provided in the car and they can even accommodate a seat for whatever age your kid is, infant seat, convertible seat, booster etc. On our most recent trip one of our flights home from Europe was cancelled the day of the flight. I was able to email Saferide our new itinerary and got a prompt confirmation that the info was received. And get this because of the cancellation and poor scheduling on behalf of the airline we missed our connecting flight home and I had to email Saferide again from the second airport while waiting to get on the new flight with a whole new arrival time! Fingers were crossed that someone would be there when we landed. I was worried they'd say "sorry you can't reschedule twice with so little notice" which would've been understandable, but NO! When we landed home after the return flights from hell, I had a confirmation email from Saferide saying they got the update and our driver would be waiting at the terminal! I missed my flight because of this company! We are going away for my wedding & a long trip after. We have a 3 year old, so I booked this company because they had a car seat. Well , the morning of my flight we had a lot of suitcases so it took a while to bring them all down. I brought down half of my stuff, he put it in the car & I went back in to retrieve the rest of my belongings. To my surprise when I came back out he was throwing my things out on the street (including a $6000 wedding dress) & he left. He claimed I took too long & even after I told him that my husband was literally coming out of the house with the rest of the bags he said no & still left. I called the company & the guy on the phone had an attitude & hung up on us. I called again & said I wanted a refund immediately because now I needed to pay for transportation again. They sent the email confirming the refund, however It's 12 hours later & the money still hasn't been put in my account. Don't book this company unless you're going to be standing outside with all your luggage like you're waiting on a taxi. They don't accommodate for the 15-20 mins it takes to bring your stuff down if you live in an apartment & have to make multiple trips with a child attached to you. EDIT: updating this since the business responded. For the record he left at 6:15am NOT 6:30 & I have the call logs in my phone to prove it. Horrendous customer service and unprofessional. I had to spontaneously cancel my scheduled transport service 3.5 - 4 hours hours before my time of arrival. I called and asked for the service to be canceled. The person who picked up the phone said he couldn't do anything to refund me because it's a strict 6 hour cancellation policy and their system doesn't allow it. I asked for a manager to call me back and see what can be done to make this a more amicable outcome... two weeks went by, no calls. I called again and again was told a manager would call me back by end of day. Can you guess, no calls again. Liars! Unprofessional liars! What can I say coming here to leave a positive review but that I'm surprised by the number of bad experiences I see. I'm taking the time to say I really appreciate the service we received for a reasonable price. I had to make the reservation at the last minute and was so glad they were able to accommodate us. With my wife and 3 young teenagers arriving at LAX near midnight, I was very concerned about the reliability of the ride, for their safety. As bad luck would have it, their two flights were delayed by -hours- getting them in during the early hours of the morning. I'm so glad that SRT and the driver did a great job of accommodating something out of our control and were still there, on time, and exhibiting all the professionalism we could expect. Drivers are great but company's customer service is horrible. My flight was delayed several hours and we were stuck on the tarmac. Understandably the driver had to leave however the company had no backup policy in place and I was still charged. I booked this service specifically because I needed a car ride service with a car seat because I have a toddler. I had to figure out an alternative after midnight and was still charged the service in full. The company didn't include process for flight delays in their service terms and they flight delays out of customer's control would still be charged. They should have either stated that clearly in policy up front so that I could weigh the risks when traveling with child or have another process in place. They had my flight number and I emailed them separately with an update from airport so they could track status and make whatever changes they needed to in advance as opposed to sending the driver there to wait. Given that they deal with customers coming from the airport, I would assume they have a protocol for dealing with flight delays. To make matters worse, the driver on the return leg refused to put on a mask even after we asked him nicely. And when we followed up with the company they took his side and said he was right to ignore our request. The cars were dirty. No chargers offered. No water. While ride services such as Uber & Lyft are fast & convenient, I don't believe they provide such car seats, & the company I used before, while great, is no longer in service. =( Feeling the pressure in trying to figure out the transportation situation just a couple of weeks before departure (yeah, I was somewhat in denial & definitely in a bind), I called several companies for quotes & the few companies that did provide car seat options are competitively priced around the same range. Given my limited options, chauffeur service is quite expensive yet necessary. I choose Safe Ride Transport because they honored the quote that they originally provided. Why do I mention this? A couple of companies actually increase the fare even though it was a couple of days after my initial contact (soooooo unscrupulous)! :-X Departure/Outbound Vrej was our driver for the outbound leg. He was a few minutes early... & we had our bags by the door ready to go. My kids were bouncing in excitement of riding in a lux SUV, driven by a chauffeur, so it took a couple of minimal to settle the kiddos. :-| My ever-cautious husband double-checked the car seat to ensure proper installation -- it was. Vjej is the utmost courteous, professional driver & understood my kids pent up excitement. Our ride was seamless until we arrived... with construction, mass of cars, I heard it can take up to an hour to get to the terminal. Our driver has excellent defensive driving skills, maneuvering through the airport jungle, & he's been doing this for decades so not much has changed. Something is always going on, yet he's on top of it so his passengers have plenty of time to board. He dropped us off right at the curb, helped removed our bags, & made sure we had everything. Our trip only took 35-mins. Arrival/Return I was a bit concerned about the return leg since I had issues with another company; this was a problem even when it was just us & no kids. I was instructed to turn my phone on once we land so we can connect. As we moved towards customs/security, I noticed I had no signal. :-O I was freaked out if we were going to miss the driver. It wasn't until we collected our bags & moved out of the dungeon that I was able to call SRT. The operator said our driver needs about 30-mins to swing around, to meet upstairs at departure, & wait for his call; he provided very detailed & specific instructions on how to meet him. By the time we got there, our driver called. We rushed outside to meet Victor, & quickly got things loaded, not before my husband checking the car seat (again, properly installed). Exhausted, hot, & dehydrated, we were glad that the pick-up was seamless & relatively quick. Victor provided bottles of water, which we all guzzled immediately. During Friday's late afternoon rush hour traffic, we were home in 45-mins., which was a blessing. Whew! :-) Another courteous & professional driver, Victor unloaded our bags to the gate, he even offered to take it to our door but we didn't want to impose (though I think I will next time since the trip wore us out). I had a reservation which I prepaid for online to go to LAX. I called the morning of the scheduled pick up to confirm the driver was on the way. When I called the company they told me there was an error and they driver was scheduled to come 2 hours after my scheduled pickup. They said it was an error and said they would call and see if they could locate a driver to pick us up but it would not be for another hour. I even had a confirmation email with the correct time of pick up! I did get a full refund for the price of the fair BUT that still does not excuse their error. How unreliable can you be??? I highly recommend SafeRide. The drivers are responsible, punctual ,and dependable with luxurious cars. I have used them frequently in the last few months for international travel. Things in the travel industry have become much more complex in recent years. It is difficult to know exactly what time planes will be landing due to unexplained delays and various other issues. And yet no matter what time my plane lands the drivers are there at LAX. This airport has become exceptionally difficult to navigate and there is always a great deal of traffic and multitudes of people everywhere. As a solo traveler, sometimes landing very late at night ,it is a great comfort to know that I have a car waiting for me. This last time my luggage did not arrive and I had to spend an extra 45 minutes completing a report and the driver still waited for me. They sent a confirmation email that my wife and I both checked but we were still confused on day. We were traveling with an infant so we needed a car seat couldn't just get a taxi. I used this service because my regular service wasn't available. The experience has been beyond horrible. The driver left us at LAX with a toddler with no way to get back home with a car seat after a miserable 20h trip. When I booked my reservation I was clear that US customs would take a while and not to send the driver earlier than 7:30 pm. So they sent him 1h earlier and despite me giving constant updates on our progress, he couldn't wait anymore and left. So I called the company to ask for a solution as we needed a ride home with a car seat. "Sorry we can't help you". So today I called customer service to request a partial refund as I understand that the driver needed to be paid for his waiting time but the lady on the phone was the most unprofessional customer service agent I have ever encountered in my life. She dared to yell at me and told me to shut up and listen to her multiple times. Her tone was condescending and disrespectful. After this horrible experience I do not recommend this company to any family with kids. PLEASE, use other companies that are more compassionate. We used this service to get home from LAX. I selected them based upon the facts that they had a infant car seat option and the price was fair. If this trip would have been for my wife and myself this would get a 5 star review. The driver was there early, picked us up in a clean car and got us home in a timely fashion. Unfortunately I can only give two starts based upon the car seat experience. 1. The car seat was not installed and we had to do it ourselves. 2. The car seat was dirty to the extend that I would describe it as disgusting. 3. Based upon what I could find after our arrival at home, the car seat was way to old to still be used. Had car seat installed for pickup at lax. We reserved a town car but picked in in a navigator. Very comfortable. Sat in traffic but that was due to time of day. Driver was a little quiet but we were in the car for an hour and a half. Did have trouble finding the driver at first but we were both in separate areas. The ride back to lax was smooth. Did have to call service line 10 minutes after we were supposed to be picked up. Highway was closed for construction so driver had to take a detour. Would have been nice to get a call instead of having to call myself. Ran a little late but got us safely to the airport and made the plane without issue. I recommend this company. I booked months in advance and was not present for the pickup or drop-off. This piece of the surprise was so critical, and I was very nervous about everything coming together as planned. I was disappointed with this company's limo pickup at LAX. I had booked a Meet & Greet pick up in an SUV for my parents. Their flight arrived a few minutes early and after picking up their luggage, they waited at their belt for the driver. Unbeknownst to them, the driver was waiting at a different belt. When he finally called them on their cell, he waved across the arrival lobby to my parents to bring heir luggage to where he was waiting, instead of going to them. When asked why he was waiting at a different belt, he gave them attitude, insisted he was right, pointing to his smart phone showing a different belt #. Last time I checked, it is the driver's responsibility to check the arrival and belt information of their clients, because these things often change. It is not the client's responsibility to look for the driver, especially after a long flight. read more

We have used many limo services in the past, and this was by far, the WORST. The driver never introduced himself, was clearly not a professional driver, and the vehicle was old, run down, and smelled like too much deodorizer had been used to mask unpleasant odors. The car seats were ripped. The shield between the driver and us was filthy. When we arrived at our house the bags were brought out of the car, set in the storm drain, and no offer of taking them to our front door. Disgraceful. Other limo companies send new vehicles and professional drivers for about the same price as this ripoff company charged us. Our driver called while we were still stuck on the ground in another city, and we let him know our flight was delayed and we were still stuck in a plane on the tarmac. He was confused, but polite. Minutes later the dispatcher (who has our flight info and could have done the due diligence of finding we were delayed) calls and tells us we're at fault for wasting their drivers time AFTER SAYING "we see your flight is delayed". Nice to know they value both their customers and drivers enough to not do the job a dispatcher is hired for. I made a reservation to have my mother picked up from LAX and taken to my sister who was having a baby at the hospital. I made the car service reservation from Tampa, FL and knew nothing about this company. The people were very easy to work with. They monitor the flight status of the person they're picking up in case the flight is delayed, which was critically important to me since there were snow storms causing delays across the west. I had to call them back later in the day to tell them that my mother would be on a different flight on a different airline, and they were very accommodating. The driver called my mother and arranged the pick-up point, and then he helped her with her luggage. The driver called my brother-in-law and got directions about where at the hospital to drop her off. (Apparently St. John's Hospital is complex.) The driver waited with my mother until my brother-in-law came to get her, so she wasn't left alone in the dark. The driver was dressed in a suit, and my mother said the driver was very professional, courteous, honest and polite. She was also delighted with the car. We received exceptional value for our money.
