Driving on HWY 59 south and the horrible thing happened. A rock hit my windshield. The chip run down the windshield into a long ugly line which meant it was a new windshield. I called into safelite and was told to come in and see what they could do. Unfortunately the news was bad. I needed a new windshield and they would need to order it. I went decided to go through my insurance and pay the deductible at time of appointment. These new windshields have cameras and computers attached so the windshield would need to be recalibrated. When the windshield arrived I went in waited while the insulation was being done. All went well. The people at this location were very friendly and professional. I recommend safelite. read more

My only complaint I have was the amount of up sale that was told I needed to get a rock chip fixed. Initial phone quote was over $200., that included wiper blades and a window application and 5he chip fixed. After a few minutes of discussion as to what I didn't need we got down to $99. The sales person did then offer a $20 discount. Got to my appointment early and the receptionist took it upon herself to get me in early. The tech explained that the crack might run, but he would do everything he could to prevent that from happening. I was told that my service may take up to 45 minutes, but 5h3y had me on the road in about 20. read more

I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with the recent service I received from a Safelite technician, which resulted in further, avoidable damage to my Tesla Model Y's windshield. I scheduled a mobile service appointment to repair a small chip on my windshield. The chip was minor and had not cracked the windshield in any way. Upon arrival, the technician applied a coolant to the chipped area. This sudden temperature change caused the chip to crack, causing further damage to my vehicle. I have attached a photograph taken prior to the technician's arrival, showing the original minor chip for your reference. I have communicated with the customer service about this incident and the only resolution offered was a credit for the amount I had paid towards the full replacement of my windshield through Safelite. This proposed resolution is wholly unsatisfactory. I sought Safelite's service in good faith to repair my windshield, not to be placed in a situation where I must replace it at additional cost and inconvenience due to an error in judgment or procedure by a Safelite technician. read more

My husband took his truck there to get his windshield replaced and he got a new windshield but then left with a broken rearview mirror and a cut windshield washer fluid line. I noticed the crack in the mirror but he couldn't see it at first until he went to work early in the morning with the bright lights hiting it and then days later, he needed to clean the windshield so he could see and nothing came out. He went out and checked to see what was going on and saw that the line was cut. I called originally about the mirror and they told me to bring the truck in. Well we can't because he doesn't have the same hours of work as their hours of operation. They gave me a phone number where I could send pictures but got no response. They sent me an email asking about how the service went so I replied and then they responded to me telling me to make an appointment for warranty work. After that is when he realized that he couldn't use the washer fluid due to the line being cut. Accident or not, own up to your mistakes. If you mess up someones vehicle, say something, especially when it comes to things you need to use like the mirror and wiper fluid in order to see. I expect to get my vehicle back the same way I left it except for getting a brand new windshield. Will definitely not go there again. read more

They gave me a 9:30am appointment which I arrived early for. I had called ahead at 9:00 to confirm that they would be ready to start working on my car at 9:30. When I arrived at 9:23 they told me that as soon as the technician finished the current car, they would start mine. They did not tell me at the time that they had just started working on the current car. At 10:15 they still had not taken my car in. I told them I would need to reschedule if they did not start my car soon. I questioned why they would give me an appointment time if they did not have enough technicians to do the work and the receptionist's response was "because your husband wanted that time". Let me start off by saying don't ever go to safelite I guess the one in rosenberg to be exact had to have a windshield replaced the first one they put in the trim all Around the windshield was not even and the rain sensor was not properly attached back to the windshield so I went back and showed them the areas I was concerned about the guy agreed that it could be better for both instances so we set to have the windshield replaced again under their lifetime warranty program so a week passes I take it back for the replacement I get there and the guy doing it just didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered with it I told him again the areas that I thought were no good he climbs in my truck and actually spun my back tires a little taking off which kind of irritated me but I thought well maybe he just been driving cars all day and the truck caught him off guard but now I'm not so sure so anyway the second windshield is put in at least I hope it was I have a feeling the same one was taken off and they just re adjusted the stripping around and put the same one back on there but I can't be 100 percent sure of that but I come back to pick up my truck and I notice right then that the rain sensor had not been touched and looked exactly the same I tried to express my concern to the guy that did the install but he kind of blew me off saying oh don't worry we set it up and tested it it works fine buts that's now what I pointed out to him I was trying to point out to him that you didn't attach back to the windshield correctly which was one of the issues with the first windshield so anyway I get home and notice that the bottom of the windshield is not sitting all down and flush with the cowl of the hood and has bulges all along the bottom and obviously the rain sensor was still not attached to the windshield correctly and now I actually have the urethane glue they use to attach the windshield squeezed inside the truck around the edges where they put I guess to much around so now as far as I'm concerned I have a completely trashed windshield in my truck it actually looks ten times worse than the first one so I go back up there and point all of this stuff out and they agree to put a third windshield in but by this time in my mind I don't want these clowns working on my truck again because to me it's only a matter of time before they mess up something else on my pickup so I cancell the third windshield and call customer care and express my concerns about this and tell them very politely I have to add that I do not want your company doing anymore work on my truck because you have messed this up twice and the second looks worse than the first and that I will be using someone else to correct their sloppy work and I would like a refund and basically was told we are not going to refund your money back either you do the warranty work of nothing at all but you are not getting your money back she said I could go up to the actual safelite location I had the work done at and talk with the shop manager and let him or her know that I don't want them to do a third windshield and that they need to pay for me to have it corrected by someone else which I already know how that is going to end so here I am about to have to pay for another windshield with a different company to correct safelites incompetence so at all cost I would avoid this location at least at all cost the upside is the lady at the front desk was awesome in getting me scheduled and everything on that end so she deserves a raise but again if I was you if your reading this don't do it there are plenty other places with the same prices that still take pride in what they do. read more

I'm conflicted in this review and I may change it for the better shortly. As far as their service it was great. I had to bring my vehicle in as it had to be recalibrated. Friendly staff. I used my debit card for a better price and in 1 1/2 hours as promised it was ready and looking good. As I went to finalize I was told my debit card was declined, twice. I called my bank and was told the address that was given didn't match mine. When I asked the lady at Safelite what address she had she said none. Well when using a debit card the bank wants to make sure it's the right owner. So everything went smooth at that point. When I got home I checked my bank account and the correct charge was there. When I checked later there was an additional charge. The next day I called Safelite and they said they didn't see any additional card. Well to make a longer story longer after 2 1/2 hours on the phone was Safelite, who indeed tried to help me I got no satisfaction. I called my bank and am disputing the charge. I was assured that someone from Safelite would get back to me. I am waiting since Monday. The bottom line they did a great job on the windshield, not so great on the billing. Let's hope I can change this review after hearing from them whenever that will be. read more

After we got the confusion sorted out on the recalibration the Safelite Manager called and asked if I could go ahead and bring in the vehicle this morning. Let me ask you this- how many Honda Civics do you see driving around on the road?  Ever since I got my 2016 Civic, I've seen my exact model literally everywhere I go.  This car's a dime a dozen.  Unfortunately, my windshield also has a particular affinity for attracting stray rocks on the highway- maybe the Honda Sensing is a magnet for them, I don't know.  In the last 2 years, I've actually lost count of the number of cracks I've gotten from flying pebbles.  There's definitely something up with the integrity of the glass.  In any case, I turned to you, Safelite, for help.  I had two massive cracks in the glass, one of which actually right over my line of vision in the driver's seat.  Suffice to say, I desperately needed this replacement.  We made an appointment, but when I showed up, I was told you didn't have the correct parts and something about how the ones you had on hand wouldn't calibrate correctly. Now, remember what I said about my car being freakin' everywhere?  It's a Honda.Civic.  But fine, whatever.  We made another appointment because you said 3-5 business days.  Then, the day before the second appointment, I received another phone call delaying it another 5 days.   This entire time, I might add, I've been driving around with the sun's wrath reflecting in my eyes via the unsightly crack I've been trying to fix.  I had to take time off from work for these appointments, because this wasn't eligible for your mobile service.  Now that I've gotten the windshield, I'm very happy with it and no longer have to wince every time the sun hits my glass.  I'm just extremely disappointed with my experience and the process it took. read more

My car's windshield broke from a rock on the highway. My Safeco Insurance recommended Safelite to change it out. The Safelite technician Jonathon called me a couple hrs before the appointment and then showed up on time. He was very careful to protect my vehicle while changing out the windshield and when he was done it looked like the original. This was my first experience with Safelite and it was excellent. I contacted Safelite b/c they advertise they come to you. My teen daughter's back windshield was completely busted out by some vandalism in our neighborhood on a Thurs. I was told they could not come to me (after I made the appt to repair w/ my cc on file) and they had to order the part so the work would not be completed until that following Monday but they will put a temp window so it's still drive able. I was cool with that as long as she could still drive her car. My husband had to drive from Sugar Land to Rosenberg to get the plastic put on to prevent water damage -- that's all the plastic was good for b/c the car was not drive able. I was told they would completely vacuum all the glass out but he told my daughter during installation that they don't and told her she needs to vacuum the inside of the trunk too. Very disappointed, will never use them again. update 1/21/16 after the survey /i completed around Jan. 6, I get call from them in 1/20/16 (about two weeks later). Janet left a message, apologized and then offered to clean the glass. Did she really expect that I still have glass in the car after just under 3 weeks? It was much more than just the glass left in the car. It was the fact that the CSR who scheduled the appt lied twice. Told me that she could still drive w the plastic until the part came in and that they don't come to you to do the repair, you go to their shop. I thought I was mistaken but then I see the commercial where they replaced onsite so the lady could watch her kids game. false advertisement and I bet I paid them same price even though we had to drive to them TWICE. read more

I am extremely disappointed with this location and their inability to do their jobs. My appointment was scheduled well in advance (over a week not including the time to purchase the glass from dealer). The day before my appointment I find out the incorrect glass was ordered and my appointment required rescheduling. After speaking to the manager, I was assured the correct part would be ordered and window repaired before my event (hence early scheduling). Repair tech came to my home, spent over 2 hours only to tell me that I would need to take my car to another Safelite shop 25 miles away because the job could not be completed. The technician was nice and tried to complete the repair, and I overheard him calling his manager a few times for instructions on competing the repair. Long story short, use this location if you have time to waste and don't mind driving around the city to have a basic repair completed. I would recommend the management ensure each technician is familiar with the repair to be performed PRIOR to attempting the repair. Offering customers apologies for wasting their time and money do not mean anything. Save the time spent apologizing and focus on doing your jobs correctly - the first time! read more

Got online on a Sunday to get an appointment for rock chip repair - first available was Friday. OK, I signed up, arrival window was 8 am to 5 pm. On the Friday at 5 pm I got a text from them rescheduling the appointment to 11 days later! Needless to say, I found another company to do the job. Although the location was 35 minutes away from me I am so glad I ended up at the Rosenberg Texas location. The service was impeccable, quick, and the technician was awesome! Their service seems like a rip off (come in for a chip repair and leave with a glass replacement job). I called in for chip repair which quickly turned to a 12 " long clack and safe-lite rep just left with no comments. The tech said the crack might increase little bit while working on it, but never stated it would be beyond repair. I surely would have denied the repair since the chip was less than 1/2 inch. Apparently after messing up the job Tech was is hurry to leave and left some of his items inside the car. Executive support is a joke I had to hold 15 mins to speak to rep who was of no help. Sending the docs to lawyer lets see how this holds out in court. read more

We are now having to schedule our third appointment, as the last 2 windshields placed into my automobile were not OEM windshields, and neither aligned properly with the heads up display that shows in the windshield. I was told by the technician after the first windshield was put in, the windshield was not OEM and they would have to order a new one to replace, only to find out after the second installment the second windshield installed was not OEM either. Driving home from the first appointment I noticed a finger print on the infotainment screen in the middle of the dashboard. We did not touch the fingerprint thinking this may happen from time to time and they may have the proper solution to remove it. I mentioned the finger print on the infotainment screen to the technician upon arriving to the site for the second install, which was likely from an adhesive or acetone, he mentioned he would look at it and try to use a microfiber cloth to remove it, but only made it worse. All the staff has been very cordial and professional so far, unfortunate their service has been tarnished but the lack of attention to detail and resulting in a negative review and another unhappy customer. I will update this review after the next and hopefully last service. read more

Fast friendly service but the product sucks. If you have experienced this please call them on it. I went to get back in my truck after the installation and noticed something funny about the new window. If has waves in it and looks terrible. I compared if to the other factory windows.... No waves. Yes it s smooth to the touch but it is IMHO an inferior product and much cheaper. Definitely not worth the $335.00 they charged me.
