I had to have a windshield replaced. Called my dealership (Land Rover) first for assistance and was advised they outsource all windshield repair to Safelite. It feels like everything went downhill from there. I rarely drive - but when I do, it's long haul. During my 7 hour drive North, I realized my windshield wipers no longer worked whatsoever on Auto setting. If I hit a bump, my wipers would suddenly turn on max speed bunot if it was raining.Then, my rear view mirror feel off. Bought my car new (2022) and have not had a single issue. Not only was it EXTREMELY difficult to get a human on the phone to assist - soonest appointment online was two weeks out. Finally got in contact with the local shop who sent the same repair man out to look it over. I still have no mirror and duct tape holding up the mount. I had to call to follow up with next steps and am still waiting to hear back. You'd think there would be some sense of urgency to assist - nope. Words cannot express my annoyance with it all. Safelite has only managed to make the experience terrible. I was better off with the cracked glass... Let's see how many more times I have to call for actual assistance. They've tried to blame the manufacture's mount, not matter how many times I tell them the adhered mount was never broken. I've been left with a car that legally shouldn't be driven and a trip scheduled in three days that I may have no car for. Safelite may replace, but they in no way shape or form repair. **update - going on three weeks now with duct tape holding up my rear view mirror and absolutely no idea what's going on because no matter how many times I've asked for resolution or a manger to call me back I get crickets. June 10th appt. cancelled by Safelite with no provided follow up or ETA. I waited two weeks for that appointment. What can I do to get some assistance? read more

I was a repeat cash customer they just ran off. I had an appointment scheduled for over two weeks to have my rear window replaced that shattered for reasons unknown. I travel so had to schedule in to make this happen as the car is usually at the airport and they don't work weekends. This evening after business hours I get an automated message that I cancelled. I have a call and message from a hidden number asking me to call back which seems to go nowhere as no one answers. No human is available to explain why after over two weeks they cancel with no explanation. Just a chance to book another appointment on line. Mind you their automated system has text me every fees days want me to prepay or remind me about my appointment. Even Labor Day evening got a text reminding me of my pending appointment. No service, no quality no concern for the customer. Just a catchy jingle and lots of commercials to cover up their lack of business sense. read more

Problem: Headliner along top of windshield damaged. Safelite location: Paris, TN. Vehicle: 2008 Ford Escape. Description for repair: replace windshield. - Initial communication with installer was good. He arrived on time and was pleasant to talk with during installation, BUT- **Problem: Tech failed to notify us that it is common for the headliner (fabric and/or insulation) along top of windshield to become separated during replacement. **Afterwards, Safelite does not have a "Submit a Review" option anywhere on their web site. They send review requests only to those customers who were satisfied with their service, not it you have problems. Kinda shady if you ask me. - Tech appeared to take Safelite required steps to prevent damage by placing cardboard along top as he cranked cord/string around edges to break seal for removal. This obviously does not work. The cardboard and cord appears to have caused the headliner fabric to become separated from the insulation across the entire front. I noted the problem to the tech during final inspection, which he said is common on replacement windshields to not fit the same as OEM windshields. I told him this was unacceptable and I would notify Matt (location owner/manager) of damage. - Safelite's main office phone number does not work. I had to call tech's cell phone who called Matt, who in turn called me. I explained the damage and Matt sent a senior tech to inspect the job and take photos of the headliner for legal purposes. I asked the senior tech about the problem. He said the original tech should have told us about the headliner problem PRIOR to starting. - Basically, Safelite is not accepting responsibility for the damage and said the only way to fix the problem is for me to use spray fixative to re-attach the fabric. I'm researching U- or C-channel molding that can be fitted around the insulation with the fabric tucked in the channel for a permanent repair. - Also, on our receipt, it states "Your vehicle has been vacuumed." This DID NOT happen. - If this is a common occurrence, Safelite should put it on their website and notify all customers BEFORE any job begins. read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting over a month with no communication for a window replacement. Stood up twice on scheduled appointments, cancelled on twice and then once the tech showed up with the wrong windshield? Maybe this is a fluke but wtf? read more

I have used Safelite in the past at work so I thought I would use them on my personal vehicle also, well I guess before you can use them they have to show up. Guess I should have read a few reviews and been expecting this. Im sure had my vehicle not been made readily available when they showed up there would of been a charge and I had taken my time off work to be here when they showed up OOPS IF THEY SHOWED UP. read more

I just had my front windshield replaced from catching a HUGE piece of rubber off 840. I did quick research and even called a few body shops. I didn't get a good feeling about a company that has just a few reviews. I used Safelite because I had a family member use them before. I could not have asked for better service. I made a scheduling mistake and thought I had an appointment. It was my mistake and had to follow up with Safelite phone support. She was super! The operator not only tried to find my appointment but helped me reschedule and gave me a discount for the trouble. I ran into a schedule issue for the new day, looked up my appointment in the confirmation email, clicked on the link and was able to reschedule to a day that worked best. The website is so easy and clear to use. The tech "G" was awesome. Professional, conscientious, clean, extremely proficient. All around, this was great. I'll come back again..just hopefully not too soon. read more
