08/08/23 I brought my 2022 Tucson in for a windshield replacement on 7/5/23, at the end of the day I received a call that the windshield they had did not work with the sensors in the car, they asked me to bring my car back when the new windshield arrived. On 7/14/23 I brought the car back and everything appeared to be a perfect fit, the sensor warnings were no longer going off. I know there was a Brandon and a Sam at the mentor location who were nice and everything! We assumed we were good to go and happy with our service. Unfortunately after this event, my husband noticed that our automated headlights were not responding to the change in daylight as usual, and our dash screen behind the wheel was also dimming and brightening at the wrong times making a lot of information difficult to read and basically useless. We can no longer use the automatic option for our headlights, wipers and such as well. I've tried calling, emailing and everything and no one ever calls or emails back so I'm guessing this is something I'll have to pay to fix which is frustrating. 08/20/23 After posting on Yelp a rep reached out and assisted me on getting a new appt. We were able to schedule for 8/19/23. It was a 10 minute appt and the guys were so cool. They explained to me what happened, because of their amazing warranty we were not charged for this appt and them fixing the sensor issue. Although I think their phone system is increasingly frustrating and time consuming, the Mentor guys are great! Once I finally get to them I am always happy with their kindness, customer service and work. Love having automatic headlights again! Thanks guys!! read more

Luckily I had insurance to cover my windshield repair but what really upsetting was the state my car was returned in. Small fractures of glass all over the place and I only noticed after sitting down and getting pricked. Techs plz be careful and double check this for future repairs. read more

Everyone was very polite and nice, fast and efficient work done by all. The only bad things I have to say is they did not clean up the mess on my dashboard and they disconnected my windshield wiper fluid hose and did not reconnect it! That was a big inconvenience to deal with and find especially while driving at night in the dark! read more

Beware: this place is terrible. Do not go there. Terrible customer service. They fucked up my girlfriends window by putting it in when they should have had us fix a problem on it first. Multiple visits there and they sent us to the dealer who said Safelite messed up and should fix it or it'll be $650 at the dealer. When we went back to Safelite they just told us to call our insurance. It's funny they messed up & got paid but don't back up their work. Do not go here. 2 months later and she's still driving around w a malfunction light on. I overheard the manager on the phone asking why they put the windshield in when the other stuff needed done. They had no answer then tried to seep it under the rug. Please don't use this place especially in Mentor Ohio.... read more

Even though I was very specific that my vehicle was a special edition, the parts ordered were for a standard model and so I drove to Mentor only to be told we'd have to reschedule for the following week. 10 days later they had the correct parts in and I dropped off my vehicle at 9AM with the understanding that I would be notified when it was done. When I hadn't heard anything I called them at around 3:30 and was informed it was done and ready to be picked up. I had a ride lined up to pick up my truck because I was told it would be done by noon or so, but since I received no notice it was done, I had to make other arrangements as my first ride was now unavailable. When I got my truck back there was still glass pieces and dust on my dash, someone did a poor job of vacuuming it. Staff was very friendly, but it seems like management wasn't up to par. read more

A truck threw a rock at our windshield on Rt 80. We got a star crack about the size of a quarter. I went online to Geico insurance and set up an appointment with a local glass shop in Geneva Ohio, but they never answered the phone when I called to set a time. So I called Geico back and they changed it to Safelite in Mentor Ohio. So glad I did. Safelite did an awesome job. When they were done I had to look carefully to find where the repair was- it was done that well. And I didn't have to pay anything- insurance covered it all. Very happy with the experience and the shop in Mentor. read more

If I could give them a zero and no stars at all, that's what they would deserve. They installed my window wrong, then I told them that my insurance was not paying, he told me that they were not going to eat the cost of my window. Guess what, They are eating the cost of the window with no icing on there cake and will be paying for a OEM WINDSHIELD from The DEALERSHIP. to bad for your loss Safelite, I do not recommend Safelite at all, especially Mentor, Ohio Safelite. I would suggest, that if your insurance company allows for OEM, and not a nock off of any window on your vehicle and any place to take it too TAKE TO THE DEALERSHIP. The dealership will use a outside company to install the new window, but like MAZDA, you will not get a knock off window. I GET A OEM windshield that they put in a Mazda. NOW safelite has to re- Deposit the money back to my Insurance company. ROB, BRIAN, AT SAFELITE, LET ME KNOW HOW THAT WINDSHIELD TASTE NOW.. Very dissatisfied with Safelite Mentor, Ohio Tyler Blv.
