Had the windshield replaced and they could not calibrate. Safelite said it was a defective windshield bracket would need a new windshield. Had to wait a week for replacement with no cruise control and safety devices. So I pick up the car and find out the technician was not doing the calibration correctly a week ago. wasted my time and gave me a lot of BS. read more

My insurance made the initial appointment for the little damage I had to my windshield. I needed a repair, not a replacement, thankfully. I had to reschedule and did so via their website and it was easy and convenient. I chose to take my car to their location, but they will come to your house or place of employment if you need them to. They took my car in immediately and the repair was made within 30 minutes. Service was friendly. I've used them in the past and I will continue to use them in the future. read more

Great customer service from both employees (Tony & I'm afraid I don't know the name of the other). Pros: * Drove my car over to see if the windshield needed repair or replacement. Since the crack was over 6" it was the latter. * Made an appt for the following morning, which was very convenient... I'm used to living in enormous cities where even dr's appts take 1-3 wks, so this was a pleasant surprise. * They could have made a visit to my home for repairs (which is fantastic), but I'm visiting the area, staying with family, who live in an apt complex & I didn't want to upset the neighbors by taking up multiple parking spaces. But, for locals, that's an incredibly convenient service. * Dropped it off, walked to a local deli for a great, affordable breakfast (Goldstein's... see my review), walked about for 1-1/2 hrs, then ventured back... my car was finished the moment I arrived... 2-1/2 hrs. * Since I'm paying cash, it was lovely to pay just shy of $300 for a new windshield. Glitches (but nothing serious): * I was unable to schedule an appt via their website (some glitch that tested my frustration level after 6 attempts on 2-days) & I never did make it through to an agent via phone... maybe everyone on the planet is getting glass replacement today. :) Not a big deal, but a frustration. * There was some confusion with an insurance claim I'd opened with my insurance provider (they couldn't find it in the computer), but it wasn't a big deal since with my $500 deductible, my windshield replacement was $200 less, so I didn't need to file a claim. To be clear, they did offer to investigate, if I wanted to go that route, which is great customer service. All in all, a great experience. They did a very nice job, quickly, on time. My Insurance Company contacted Safelite for me, I had a scratch on my windshield at the drivers view. Safelite Teck howed up and told me the windshield would have to be replaced, I said can it be repaired, he said no, we have to order a new windshield. Takes a week or so. So, he put in a Temp windshield and left. Went out the next morning had a meeting only to find my rear-view mirror on the floor, called said they couldn't make it, told him I had a 10 o'clock appointment I have to get to. The Teck showed about 1/2 hr later, Duck taped the mirror to the windshield. Finally, Safelite called and said the new windshield is in and I set up the appointment, well they showed up put in the windshield. Went to have my car Winterized and detailed, The Mechanic came into the office and told the man in charge that I had a scratch on my windshield, told him I just had a new windshield put in, he said they only Buffed out the scratch you have your old windshield in. Safelite charged me $337. and $50 deductible I had to pay. I was told by a Safelite person they don't put old windshields in, but tell me this, HOW IS THE SAME SCRATCH IN THE SAME SPOT APPLE TO APPLE, WHERE IT WAS IN THE FIRST PLACE. On top of that they wanted me to purchase Wipers for $39 for one wiper. I told them NO that I would have the Mechanic put new blades on, which by the way were $19.00. I will never use Safelite again and I'm reporting the company for Fraud! read more

I was very happy with the employee service i left my car over night because it was going to rain and i did not want my vehicle to get wet and my appointment was the very next day so i was offered a ride to and from my house i was so happy and my vehicle was ready 1st thing the following morning. They turned my bad experience of having my broken glass into the most easy going experience i would recomend this safelite store in kingston to any one i know ....everyone i know . read more

Try to call the local store, you can't. Safelite's business model has a phone que that hangs up on customers. Yep, they value your business so much nobody will speak to you, but they have a robot ask stupid questions....then hang up. Why would I use this business? read more
