*I would give zero stars if it was an option*
Update:
Choosing to be more informative....
There is SO MUCH that went wrong. I'll try to post all I can.
They took my vehicle in during a time someone was out sick and someone got fired. I made it clear to Richard that I was in no rush. It wouldn't be a problem, should something come up, that I get moved out a bit. BUT I was never notified so I kept my drop off as scheduled.
With that said, I never heard anything about my vehicle so after three days I called to inquire (I was informed that it is their priority to keep the customer informed by text or email about their vehicle and it's progress) To be told by Carla (front desk) that "we are SO short handed and have been VERY busy, I'm sure that's why you haven't heard anything" for her to then admit "Oh, wait! I never clicked the button to have texts be sent to you" BUT even after that I never heard anything. SO on day 5 I called again to inquire about my vehicle. Carla again said how short handed they are and how crazy the week has been. Umm, Okay? ....So I reminded her that I was in no rush and they could have moved my appointment to a later date. To which she got an attitude on the phone and said "I'll have Lenny the Manager call you and let you know what's been going on with your SUV."
AGAIN no call,text or email.
I decided I would reach out to my insurance company and see what, if anything, they knew. That's how I found out they were waiting for parts to be delivered and my pickup date had been moved to Wednesday of the following week. I then called enterprise rental to be sure they were aware as I would need their car another FIVE days at that point.
The day that would end up my pickup day (with no notice) I received the only text - that my vehicle would be done and someone would call me.
I got the call at 4:08pm from Rose that my vehicle was done and that she will be there until 7:00pm for me to get it. WHAT! I left work (early) to gas up the rental and get there before 7:00pm.
There was a weird crackling sound coming from the passengers side door when you opened and closed it so Lenny (Mang) begrudgingly took it back inside and did whatever he did to it and the sound had stopped. He didn't explain anything and truly couldn't be bothered with making any conversation with me or Rose that evening. (Again, how is your short handed week or two my problem? I'm the customer)
It was evening/dark when I drove it home. Next morning when the sun hit my vehicle I noticed MANY raised areas. As if dirt/dust/pebbles were trapped under the paint. It looked AWFUL! There is NO WAY someone didn't notice it at Caliber YET they still had me take it home. WOW!
I called my insurance company to make them aware of the many, many flaws in the paint and ask what my next step should be.
ALSO I discovered that the right passengers door handle did not unlock and all sensors were not working. Made Insurance company aware of that as well.
Gerard (District manager from the Philadelphia are) left me a voicemail asking me to call him.
We made a new date for me to bring my vehicle back in to be repaired.
*He also asked me to please wait on answering the review I would be sent - until they had an opportunity to correct the poor repairs initially made* So I did UNTIL NOW.
Dropped vehicle back off and as they rinsed the salt off the vehicle and pulled it around front Gerard was wiping the area and surrounding area with a rag. I had to take a call I was expecting so I was a few feet away. I noticed a scratch on my hood THAT WAS NOT THERE BEFORE and he tried to say that it was - "But don't worry, we will buff it out" OMG! I know my vehicle. I take very good care of it and it gets a complete detail 2/3 times a year and is garage kept and washed often. That scratch was NOT there before.
Anyway....I picked up the rental Caliber was paying for and was told they would be in touch.
Lenny called me two days later to say they had someone coming with the replacement of my door handle. He tried to tell me it was a common issue with this vehicle BUT they will replace it for me at no cost.
SO.....I called the top sales Representative AND my Maintenance Advisor at the dealership I've now purchased three of this make and model from. They BOTH separately told me that IT IS NOT a common issue Quote: "They are blowing spoke" "Covering their A****/mistake"
