I called few places to find out if they can help me and then decided to try Universal Body Shop first. I made this choice based on pleasant but still very professional tone of the phone conversation. Soon after I arrived at the shop, I knew picked the right place. Tom Basalyga, the owner, gave me all advice I could ask for. He explained what needed to done and how to file an insurance claim. With his assistance, I actually filed my claim while sitting in his office. It turned out that my naive estimate of the damage was way off and I could not drive the car because it was unsafe. Since I did not expect it, I had no ride home. Tom helped me again and drove me from his garage in Scranton to my home in Clarks Summit. It was a tremendous help! Now, I have my car back and I am trilled with the job! All the repairs are done and the car looks great! I have had my recent accident induced car body damages repaired at "Theil's"...with excellent results! BOB is very precise,thorough and beyond fair with his estimates.... Before dealing with Bob, I had my car body repaired at an auto body shop in Carbondale...a few weeks post repairs a clear covering over the paint started to bubble and peel... Thinking maybe there was a recall issue with my Honda Civic's paint ,I went to Burne Honda ,where I purchased my car..The service manager kindly looked at what was happening to the paint called Bob Theil and asked him to diagnose what .might have been the cause... Bob said yes and for me to go right over for him to evaluate my car's paint issues.... Bob evaluated what he saw and diagnosed a faulty prep job done on my cat before it was painted...So it was not a factory issue..... Mark Kobierecki dropped the project he was working. Pulled my car into his garage and replaced the headlights. No easy task for him and his employee and reinforced the side panel. Took 15 minutes of his time. He didn't ask for a penny. Well he got 2000 of them anyway. What a prince of guy!!!!

I took my car to be repaired there after it was hit while parked. Dropped my car off Monday…read moremorning and on Tuesday morning received a call that my car had been vandalized, all 4 tires stolen and two windows damaged. I went there to view the car and not only was I not shown the car I was treated horribly by the manager there. They are currently trying to hold me responsible through my insurance for the damages, so not only was my car vandalized, I have to go through all the hassle of contacting my insurance company and having to wait to have this place and my insurance battle it out. I would defiantly not recommend taking your car to be repaired here especially if you are a woman for fear that you will be treated as horribly as I was. edit: update over 2 weeks later and I still have not got my car back. The damage that was done to my car was conveniently underestimated by the garage. To top it all off i received a phone call from my insurance adjuster regarding the wheels they originally put on my car to replace the ones that were stolen and he termed them as unacceptable and unusable. The damage to date is all 4 wheels, 2 windows my windshield wipers ALL quarter panels the hood and i think some damage to the roof as well. This garage is not a safe place to take your car to be repaired the security is lax and the customer service is awful. Please learn from my experience so this doesn't happen to you !
