The only reason I gave 3 stars is because I have dealt with Safelite many times before and never had an issue until yesterday. I had a tech come to my residence to repair a chip in the windshield and when he finished it looked fine but later that day the area had spread larger than the initial damage. I went to the store this morning and was told there was nothing that could be done to the area because it may cause more extensive damage and I understood the explanation however, I was told that WHEN this spreads I'm responsible for the price of a new windshield because Justin didn't do a proper repair on the initial damage. I am posting this because of course I'm pissed because my insurance company paid them for crappy work and then I will eventually have to replace my windshield and we all know a claim will only increase your insurance... I'm out of money on top of money because Justin didn't do his job properly. The picture is after the work was done. read more

Safelite - A picture of my damaged windshield - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Harvey, Louisiana

24JUL26 ~ Outstanding performance on scheduling, on-site personal, and repair. I picked up a couple of rock chips on a recent cross-country trip that needed repair before they propagated across my front window shield. I called my insurance company, and they have a group that handles glass repair. My insurance company was able to schedule an appointment with Safelite the next day. Within minutes Safelite sent me a notification text & email with the location & appointment time. When I arrived, I spoke with the service manager, Pete, an exceptional man. He was exceedingly articulate/well spoken, operationally & technically proficient, genuinely friendly, & professional. He checked my front window, and I went form a front window replacement to two rock chip repairs, saving me a $100 deductible and two hours waiting. I also spoke with the technician, Adam, another outstanding employee. His effective communication skills are tops, he explained the operational/technical process, and was done less than a half hour. If I owned Safelite, both Pete & Adam would be employees I would want to work for me. Thank you! read more

This place is my go-to for glass services. It started years ago, with a rock chip, and has not stopped since! They have options to schedule online and I recommend using it, because their slots fill up quickly. Their pricing is reasonable, especially for their high quality of service. My most recent visit was a breeze. I scheduled a windshield replacement and the website said it could be a 2-3 hour wait. I was prepared for it. I arrived on the day of my appointment and checked in. Adam and Leo were the two people I spoke with, during my visit. They gave full disclosures before the serivce. They also verified that what they saw in their system is exactly what I needed. I confirmed and service began. Their waiting room has seating and also refreshments. I peacefully read a novel while waiting. During my visit there was an irate customer who arrived. The customer scheduled their vehicle as a drop off (the website informs you that it will have a super long wait with that option vs the appointment option). The customer must not have read it or cared. The customer was very nasty to the employee, yet the employee stayed professional throughout the whole exchange. I was shocked at the customer and pleased with the employee. Overall this a great business, my service was finished in under 70 minutes (website estimated 2-3 hours). When visiting customers should have understanding that this isn't putting air in tires. These wonderful people are dealing with glass. That is not something that can be rushed or taken lightly. read more

Had a "tech" come to my home, said he could not release a bolt in one of my wipers, then wanted to drive my car to the shop to do it, and would be about 20 min one way. NO. Then wanted me to follow him in my car. NO. Today i booked at home for convenience, i could not leave. He had to call his Supervisor about 4 times, then we decided i would drop my car off in the morning because "this is where they handle these cases because we have the tools. And if it breaks, they have a part store by them, they can get a new wiper if it breaks." ok. Dropped off my car in the morning. Less than 45 min later, they called to let me know they could not replace my windshield because they cannot remove the bolt still. Told me they will likely break it upon removal, so i need to go buy a new one and drop it off to them. They now say they have no part store by them to retrieve another. HOW? YOU HAVE MY CAR! My husband called to speak to the Supervisor, but the actual SV lied and said the SV was in a meeting. It was her. I requested my money back and upon picking up my vehicle i expressed my disappointment with the whole process of lies. One of the MGRS, Pete (peter) then proceeded to tell me that i wasted their time and his companys time. He would not even look me in the eye when i picked up my key. He has NO PROFESSIONALISM and was cocky and rude. For a company to tell you to drop your car off then to say you are wasting their time is pitiful, just as the acting SV was. DO NOT WASTE your time. They lie and then treat you like trash. read more

These guys get beyond 5 stars! Frank is next level customer service! Him and his team stayed 2 hours after closing to make sure my windshield was ready today!! I'll never use anyone else ever again. read more

I'm extremely pleased. I drove up, no appointment, was greeted immediately and my rock chip was fixed in a little more than 30 minutes. I chose to pay with credit card rather than use my insurance and I thought the price was very reasonable. I was advised the chip wouldn't completely disappear and I'm very pleased. The repair looks like a water spot. I highly recommend. read more

The agent at the Marrero location was so bothered to do her job. It was hard to hear and she was getting irritated that she had to repeat herself. She would exhale deeply before restating her information. I asked if she was aggravated with me and she said," No, this is just how I talk". I told her that I wouldn't be needing her services any longer and would call another company for help. It's really sad that I felt like I bothered someone trying to give them business. Very unprofessional. Thank you read more

I was scheduled for 8am-12pm on 1/27/25.Technician Allan came at 11:45am. Allan said it's about to rain( just cloudy) he'll go do 2 more jobs and return to fix my windshield. Even if it's dark he can use the light from his truck. Allan never returned. I called Allan at 5pm. Allan stated he no longer had my windshield in his truck and I would have to reschedule! My husband then got on the chat line and was told Allan said my car was rusted and the hood was damaged. Mine you my windshield was cracked Wednesday. I will preach from the mountain top to let everyone know to NEVER USE SAFELITE ON LAPALCO!!!ALLAN IS A COMPLETE LIAR!!!!!!!!! read more

My windshield was cracked on my 2022 Tesla model Y . I called around and all other body shops had parts on back order , yet safelite had the best competitive price and fastest repair turn around. When they called me to drop my car , they had my windshield fixed in less than 2 hours . I highly recommend this business . Other auto windshield repair shops wanted over $2,000 which included parts and labor and safelite was barely over a $1,000. I will definitely do business with safelite again . read more

I can't recommend these guys enough! I have seen a zillion SafeLite ads and did not know what to expect. From the moment I drove in I was greeted by technician Ernst, who welcomed me and said to go in and register and he would take care of everything. Narrisa at the front desk took care of me competently and professionally and got me the best price through my insurance company. I was in and out in 40 minutes start to finish. I now believe the ads. These guys have it down. read more

These guys were so nice and on top of their service. They texted me throughout the process to let me know how it's going. They were able to schedule me in quicker than I expected and made it easy to where I didn't have to deal much with my insurance company. They did it for me. Friendly guys and the sitting area is pretty spread out. read more

Amazing and quick service! A rock or something randomly hit my windshield on I-10 and shattered it really bad. I was familiar with the Safelite brand from previous experiences, so I knew I definitely wanted to use them. The Metairie location is much closer but couldn't get me in for two weeks. I called Safelite through Allstate and was able to get an appointment at the Harvey location in two days...yay! I was well informed throughout the entire process, to include scheduling the appointment, dropping off my vehicle, and receiving status text messages while they were working on my car. The guy at the front desk was super nice and I felt like my vehicle was in good hands there. The technician called as soon as the work was done and pickup/payment was quick and easy as well. There is a waiting room with chairs, but I opted to walk around the area because there are a few stores and several restaurants in walking distance. Hopefully I won't have to replace my windshield again, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to come here again. read more

Safelite is prompt, professional and they'll come to your house or work. In my job I wear many hats. One of those hats is the one that people responsible for a bunch of vehicles wears. That hat may not have a name, nor may you care about my headgear. What makes all of this relevant is that the cars I'm responsible for end up with busted windshield fairly regularly. Safelite has been our go-to company for many years. This location in particular has replaced at least three windshields for me personally and probably 50 for other vehicles at work. Here is how it usually works: 1. Some unknown object smashes a windshield. 2. Worker: "Hey! My windshield got busted." 3. Me: "Fill out the proper form." 4. Assistant: "Hey Safelite we've got another busted windshield." 5: Safelite: "We will be there between 12-2 Wednesday" 6. Wednesday between 12-2 they arrive. 7. By 2 the windshield has been repaired and has the tell tale blue tape. 8. Happy workers It is really that easy. We have them come to our work lot, but have also had them go to worker's homes all over the area. It is one of the least painless automotive repairs possible. If you've got a crack that blocks your vision, give Safelite a call. They are awesome. read more

I had a "moustache" crack in the front window due to a rock kicked from a truck wheel on the highway. The service was good, but I did not expect the polarized section to be smaller on the new glass. It appeared in the center and not all the way from one side to another. The expected wait time was two hours, but the actual time took around four hours. Most importantly, the washer jets were removed and not replaced after the new glass was installed. The personnel were courteous and professional. They just need to pay closer attention to details. I had to reschedule an appointment to reinstall the washer cables, and I have to drive a great distance to get there. read more

I had an excellent experience. The car was accepted on schedule and fixed within a quarter hour. The staff was polite. The service agent took care to explain what he did. The agent Adam was very Covid-19 aware and respectful. Just a first rate experience. read more

So just to give some details I drive a very old truck and the passenger window was brittle and a mishap with the window motor caused my window to shatter I brought it into safelight to have it repaired and these workers were absolutely spectacular. They assisted with all my needs including giving me some insight on the process because I like to fix things myself. Shoutout to Adam and Chance I would highly recommend these two individuals they went above and beyond to make me feel like not just a customer but family and prices on the fix were amazing. 100/10 recommend this shop for your window and windshield replacement. read more

George was great. He kept us updated all a long the way. This was a very easy process. I strongly reccomend Safelite.

The service was great, the price was incredible. Fast repair and easy to got appointment.

The following review should be read in the voice of Ron Burgundy... Me last week when getting into my car: "Sweet mustache of Mercury! My window is broken and there is glass everywhere, like a Babylonian whore fell from the land of scotch into the back of my love chariot then dissolved into a million rainbows. Where shall I turn in this time of broken emotion?!" GEICO Rep: "Sir, your deductible is greater than the cost to replace your window. But I can transfer you to someone from Safelite and you will get a discount for being a GEICO customer." Me: "Great Merlin's silvery pubic mound! This is going to cost me more than a hundred elves riding bears to a hamster picnic!" Safelite Rep: "Hello, sir? We can have someone come out to you in 2 days and fix it right there at your home, or you can save $25 by bringing it to us. With taxes and glass disposal fee, it will cost $250. Would you like me to make an appointment for you?" Me: "Slap my balls with an armored panda! SLAP it! I hear your numbers and I relinquish the pants of my unborn children so that my injured chariot may befriend the elements once again." Safelite Rep: "Okay... so... that's a yes? Great. We will get that fixed up for you on Thursday then." Me: "Indeed wise wizard of Safelite. Papa Yelper accepts your terms of battle! Safelite... did you know that word is derived from the ancient Sumerian cuneiform for that warm musky place between a whale's thighs?" Silence: ... Me: "Agree to disagree." read more

I do a lot of highway driving so I get a lot of dings in my windshield. I've had to have three windshields replaced in the last decade. All we're done by Safelite and they did a great job. This last time chance replace the windshield and gave me a lot of good advice about the uniqueness of my car. Also I needed a new brake tag and forgot to get a photo of the old one. On his day off he looked for it in his truck and took a picture for me. He saved me a bit of money doing that and I appreciate it. He went above and beyond what was asked and was very professional. read more

Bought my car in for windshield replacement, to call me 15 minutes later to say they could not replace it. They didn't add all of the cover around the outside edge and said they couldn't because it was rusted and they didn't want to be liable which is why they didn't want to honor the replacement. Now my window leaks, and they wouldn't fix it. read more

Excellent service in a timely manner. Nolan, the glass tech, called me a couple hours before my scheduled appointment time to confirm everything. Because it was a stormy day, and I don't have a garage, he asked me to bring my car to their Westbank shop on Lapalco Blvd. I drove out there and they had me pull inside, greeted and briefed me on the job, then had me take a seat in their comfortable waiting room, where a TV and fridge with water was available. Less than an hour later, I was back on the road with a shiny new windshield. Easy peasy! read more

I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that had less than 9K miles on it when a rock hit my windshield and cracked it all the way across. I was understandably upset because my vehicle is relatively new but what I was really concerned about is that on the 2020 Wranglers there is a small Jeep easter egg in the right bottom corner of the windshield from the factory. I was afraid that a replacement windshield would not have that small Jeep on it and that when I go to sell or trade in the Wrangler it would be obvious that this was not the original windshield. Much to my surprise the windshield was an exact factory OEM windshield replacement. I am very particular and I could not tell that anything had been done to the Jeep at all and it took less than on hour and a half. Safelite even supplied me with a certificate stating that my emergency braking and adaptive cruise control camera was recalibrated. Very satisfied! read more

Went in to get a rear view mirror mounted to the windshield. They knocked it out in about 15 minutes. Good people

Called the national toll-free number & got an estimate of $249.99 plus tax if I drove to their location. When I went there, they gave me estimate of $323, which included two new wipers @ $17.99. Once they removed that $35.98 fee, other estimate was good except for about $9 for molding which original estimator forgot to include. Work took about 2 hours and they started about 20 minutes after my appointment time, which I arrived in time for. What the advertisement doesn't tell you is it's $40 more if Safelite comes to your location to replace your glass. Finished work was excellent! More than pleased and the guys who dealt with me were great -- good sports and did a beautiful job. read more

I was so impressed from start to finish with the professional, efficient service I received to repair the crack in a crucial area of my friend's windshield the size of a half dollar. The service man explained the process as he was doing it and carefully cleaned up afterwards. The result was a tiny blemish where there once had been an annoying crack that interfered with driver visibility. The job was booked with a two hour window. Apparently he was unable to reach me when he arrived at the car's location so he left me voicemail. When I called back, even though it was late in the workday, he came immediately and did the repair, and not a single complaint about the late time. Hats off to Safelite! read more

I had my front windshield fixed recently at my home. I called the 1 800 number on a Thursday. The person who took my order said that the mobile guy was in my area and that he was only 30 minutes away and that he would come to me shortly. After about 3 hours, the mobile guy called and said that he would be out the next day because my order was taken after 10 am that morning. The next morning the mobile guy come out but since it was threatening rain and rain was forecast all day, he set the next appointment a full four days later. So, the mobile guy calls Tuesday and lets phone ring two times before he hangs up and I could not get to it in time. I called him back and asked him why he only let the phone ring two times, he said that he thought he had the wrong number. Anyway, he comes out and installed the window. The window itself was installed correctly. However, when I went to go get my brake tag, it turns out he did not leave the old brake tag and it cost me $24. Additionally, he did not tighten the bolt on the windshield wiper, so the wipers did not work properly. So this was not a good experience for me. read more

Another outstanding job! My daughter needed her windshield replaced after a large rock chipped and then cracked the glass right across the driver's side. I went online to get a quote and was pleasantly surprised at the price of the new windshield and the ease of scheduling mobile service. The technician, Travis, was scheduled to arrive between 12-5 pm. He called that morning to let our daughter know that he would be at the house between 2 and 3 pm; he arrived at 1:45 pm. Unfortunately, our 70 pound dog got out of the door and surrounded Travis, barking and trying to knock him to the ground. Travis remained calm and in good humor, and our daughter eventually got the dog under control. Travis replaced the windshield and was able to "save" the state inspection sticker from the old window - another bonus and one less hassle and expense of having to replace that as well! We do not experience good customer service here in our local area very often, so I always want to give a review when we do. This is not our first experience with Safelite, and all of our previous experiences have been outstanding as well. Thank you Travis! read more
