What followed was eight weeks of pure frustration and unprofessionalism. From week one, the staff was incredibly rude. I was hung up on multiple times, screamed at by the manager, and eventually stonewalled completely--they refused to take my calls or provide real updates. Every time I tried to get a timeline, I was fed a new excuse about broken bumpers or delayed parts. Eight weeks for a bumper? Ridiculous. When I finally got my car back, it was still scratched--the bumper looked barely touched, and somehow my hood had fresh gouges all over it. They did more damage than they repaired. I escalated to the so-called regional manager, who showed up with zero professionalism. He claimed to "buff" the hood while I stood out in the blazing sun for 45 minutes. In reality, it looked like he just rubbed some WD-40 on it to hide the damage--it all came back after the first wash. And to top it off? They returned my car with 14 miles of gas left. Not a courtesy drop in the tank, not even a "sorry"--just scratches, delays, and blatant disrespect. This place is an absolute mess from top to bottom--incompetent techs, rude front desk, and laughable management. I would never recommend Gerber Collision and Glass Manhattan to anyone and strongly urge you to take your vehicle anywhere else.

Initially, I thought things were going well, with several texts telling me the status of the repair. On the final day of allotted repair time, the car was "scanned" and it was discovered that Gerber couldn't do the necessary computer updates, and the job was outsourced to another shop. Asking for a timeline, I was rudely advised that this was another man's shop and Gerber wouldn't know what kind of work they had in queue. They would contact me when the car was back at Gerber. Took another day for completion, costing me rental fees. Gerber manager advised that he would reimburse me. (Turns out he neglected to say that he would contact insurance to reimburse me, which only time will prove.) Car had caution light on the dash, that the manager said was tire pressure, but didn't seem concerned with investigating and repairing, after they were the ones to install software updates (scan they said they did should have brought this to light). Turns out the caution light on the dash was a low fuel indicator - car returned to me with an empty tank. Had discussions with the manager, and he seemed more interested in schooling me about scheduled maintenance (very patronizing) than doing the repairs he was hired for. Upon pickup, no one from the shop spoke to me or reviewed the work that was done. First and last time using this shop.
