Let me first say that, being a New Yorker, I prefer surly but efficient over friendly but incompetent any day of the week. That said, my experience with them was both efficient and friendly. They were completely professional from to end. I was able to set up the appointment and get a quote on line. They confirmed appointment the day before. When I got there, everything was ready to go, the whole thing took less than two hours, and the price and terms were as indicated. I can't speak to the experiences of others, but I found everyone to be pleasant and professional. And while I hope to not have to return, I would not hesitate to do so. read more

Jeep. My insurance Company had neglected to specify that I was replacing the upgraded Gorilla Glass. Safelite folks found some for me within hours, and replaced it the next day, a Saturday. I dropped off at 9:30am, picked up by 3pm, received immediate email confirming camera recalibration. I score that as fast and efficient. read more

Terrible service. Had appointment cancelled at 7:40 AM with no information after confirming 2 days ago and getting confirmation email yesterday. Cancellation email said " sorry to see you go" , like it was my decision. It took 10 days to get the appointment. I cancelled work to be here for appointment .It took 40 minutes to get someone on the phone and they told me the notes said part wasn't in. Spoke to parts department they said part was in the warehouse and didn't know why part wasn't in and couldn't tell me when it would be in or when I could reschedule. Next available appointment if they could get part was another week away if they could get wind shield from ware house , but they don't know...It is a simple chevy wind shield. Was told by parts department they would call me back 2 hours ago, haven't heard a thing and crack is now spreading to 2' .Why would they confirm yesterday if they were going to cancel this morning? Terrible communication ,automated system online and on phone. I have used Safelite before but apparently the Bridgehampton shop is beyond unreliable. It is a simple wind shield replacement, supposedly what they do. Now I have to miss another day of work and find someone who can actually do the job. A terrible experience! After waiting two an a half hours, they could not calibrate my the camera, my windows would not close, my wind shield wipers would not work, all the lights and warning lights were on. I had to have my car towed to the dealership. They were unapologetic and offered no help!! It took days to get my car back. A total nightmare!!!!!! They did not help or offer any assistance for the problem they created. read more

Everyone I encountered was so unbelievably rude that I thought they were joking. Appointment number one, they confirmed and when I arrived I was told they never ordered the parts. 90 minutes round trip, the first person with whom I spoke was completely indifferent and unapologetic. Impossible to get a human on the phone to discuss the windshield inpection sticker voided after they peeled off and sticking on the new windshield resulting in a summons. They should have seen this and verbalized that the sticker needed to be updated which would have been common sense and also curteous customer care. They didn't make this issue apparent except in an email and a sign on the wall which can be easily missed. This nuisance could have been avoided with a simple verbal heads up on pick-up. Now had to make a court date to get the ticked issue fixed. read more

A pebble hit my windshield while on the potholed LIE, and with the large swings in the outside temperature, the vertex day the tiny ding ent horizontally across the entire windshield. The people at the Safelite in Bridgehampton, ny were very efficient as well as friendly. The windshield and recalibration of my car's eyesight and lane change features was done in one hour. The only downside was when I made the appointment calling the national number, they told me it would take 2-3 hours, so I prepared myself for a long boring wait. Recently had a "star" in my windshield that seemed to be growing larger as the weather got colder. Called my insurance company and Safelite AutoGlass shows up at my house like 3 hours later. Wow ! Now that's service with a smile. A lady technician introduces herself to me, and said that she was here to fix my windshield. Very pleasant and confident that she will fix my windshield. Well, about a half an hour later she was finished repairing my glass. This lady was so neat and clean with the repair,and I was floored when she started to clean the windshield inside and out ! Kudos to this lady technician. Great job, and handled with care right in my own garage. Way to go Safelite AutoGlass ! read more

Safelite sent me an email asking me to please rate them on Yelp. Okay, you asked for it. I took my 2019 Mini Cooper in for a windshield chip covered under insurance. Jen introduced herself as the Manager, was nice and professional. Got me right into the shop. But warned me they could only fix it to stop it from spreading, and that it might not llook any better. She also said to leave it for an hour but I came back ten minutes later and it was done. I've had windshields repaired over the years and the filler/processing compound always made them invisible. She told me to make it look better they would have to break it more, make the chip larger. I did not authorize that so my windshield looks exactly the same. With a chip in it that supposedly won't spread. I honestly feel that insurance companies pay so little to have this repair work done that Satellite has no incentive to spend any additional time on it. read more

They were always in good contact with me in regard to my appointment. They took as long as they said they would (45 min to 1 hour). The window looks great. The people working that day were very nice, and helpful. The guy working on my windshield even put my new windshield wipers on that I hadn't gotten to yet AND fixed my broken car light inside my car cause he had a part in hand that worked.
