I called a couple of places and these guys gave me the cheapest price AND they would come out to my house. Awesome! The morning of the scheduled repair came and I hadn't heard from their driver like they said I would. I called and they said they had a bit of a mix up that morning but would call me right back as soon as they had it figured out. About an hour later I'm a bit miffed but they call back and ask if I can bring it in, apologizing for the hassle repeatedly. Sighing, I agree and get in the truck. What I come to find out is that their driver screwed up the night before, breaking a van full of glass then leaving the delivery van in the lot without the keys and no word as to his whereabouts. So they are without a driver and trying to catch up on all their scheduled deliveries and repairs. (Mind you, I'm just overhearing the guys trying to work this out amongst themselves). I comment on their discussion and we end up having really pleasant conversation for the duration of my sit in their lobby (I was there less than an hour from arrival to departure). Their customer service was excellent, both with me and the spanish speaking family that arrived after I did. One of the guys behind the counter was helping him get in touch with his insurance and doing his best with what was clearly broken spanish. They person came tot the house late, after some time said he could not do the calibration. I was told it was too sunny. I suggested a shaded area and was told I needed to come in. Scheduled appointment for 8:00 am, was sent a confirmation. Showed up at 8:00 and no one was there to help be until 9:00. I don't appreciate the lack of respect of my time. But one fine day out of the blue we noticed a crack in the windshield of our 2015 Subaru. It looked like an impact from a pebble that spread diagonally upward about a foot long. We called our insurance company on May 1, confirmed our glass coverage, and were offered the option to choose our own repair vendor or go through them and their relationship with Safelite. We chose the latter and were scheduled for the windshield replacement on May 7. After that, communication was never a problem with Safelite. They contacted us through seven e-mails and twelve texts with (imbedded document links) over the next ten days. The communications covered appointment confirmations, confirmation requests, reminders, one appointment change, completion notification, bill review, and a certificate of re-calibration for the windshield related electronics, cameras, etc. We dropped the car off on May 11 and were given the option to hang out in their K-Cup equipped waiting room or come back later. The estimated time period for the work was 2-3 hours. We decided to leave the car and went to lunch at Parkville Market. About an hour later, they texted us and said the work was completed. Our technician, Benjamin, was professional, helpful, and friendly. Safelite took good care of us.

When I went to call THEM to confirm before going back I got an AI agent and then a national agent who had to then call the local site to confirm. Well guess what? They said they couldn't honor the new appointment time because they were short staffed for the weekend. Ugh. I rescheduled 2 weeks later. Appointment was at 9 am and was told it would be 3 hours. My car took 6+ hours and no body contacted me once the 3 hour window was over. I had to once again call the AI agent to request an update on my car. So instead of noon like I was promised my car still wasnt ready at 3. When I arrived at 3:15 my car still wasnt ready and they said it would be ANOTHEr 20 minutes. Awful customer service.
