They were courteous, respectful, very quick and thorough. They repaired my Subaru, worked with the insurance company ( the value of the quote) and made it look as if nothing had happened to it. They even detailed inside of my car and replaced the cover on the driver side seat that I told them that would pay out of pocket for because it was not part of the accident but they fixed it anyways with no charge. Steven Litwin is the shop Foreman and handled everything professionally and was very pleasant to work with. I hope my car is never damaged again but if it is it will only go to Steben's.

"I love the sound of breaking glass Especially when I'm…read morelonely I need the noises of destruction When there's nothing new" (Nick Lowe) We never heard or saw the glass break. But one fine day out of the blue we noticed a crack in the windshield of our 2015 Subaru. It looked like an impact from a pebble that spread diagonally upward about a foot long. We called our insurance company on May 1, confirmed our glass coverage, and were offered the option to choose our own repair vendor or go through them and their relationship with Safelite. We chose the latter and were scheduled for the windshield replacement on May 7. After that, communication was never a problem with Safelite. They contacted us through seven e-mails and twelve texts with (imbedded document links) over the next ten days. The communications covered appointment confirmations, confirmation requests, reminders, one appointment change, completion notification, bill review, and a certificate of re-calibration for the windshield related electronics, cameras, etc. We dropped the car off on May 11 and were given the option to hang out in their K-Cup equipped waiting room or come back later. The estimated time period for the work was 2-3 hours. We decided to leave the car and went to lunch at Parkville Market. About an hour later, they texted us and said the work was completed. Our technician, Benjamin, was professional, helpful, and friendly. Safelite took good care of us.

Horrible experience. My first appointment was canceled despite getting a confirmation text message…read more They stated it was a system generated confirmation and that they tried to call me. I did miss their call but they only tried me once the day before but never notified me my apt was canceled until I arrived for my windshield replacement. They said I didn't book enough time and that because I was paying in person I needed to confirm by speaking to someone6. Fine. I tried to schedule again for later that same day and was able to do online. When I went to call THEM to confirm before going back I got an AI agent and then a national agent who had to then call the local site to confirm. Well guess what? They said they couldn't honor the new appointment time because they were short staffed for the weekend. Ugh. I rescheduled 2 weeks later. Appointment was at 9 am and was told it would be 3 hours. My car took 6+ hours and no body contacted me once the 3 hour window was over. I had to once again call the AI agent to request an update on my car. So instead of noon like I was promised my car still wasnt ready at 3. When I arrived at 3:15 my car still wasnt ready and they said it would be ANOTHEr 20 minutes. Awful customer service. Very frustrating company and I dont recommend this location.at ALL.

Dwight was absolutely professional and executed everything within the hour. I really appreciate that! The labor was reasonably priced too and their location was very easy to find.

When I asked them to see any paperwork on anything they played dumb I mean no repair estimates not even a work order I brought it in for a simple tire repair and they said that they had to repair the axles because it was unsafe for me to drive in the state of Connecticut and that they legally couldn't let my car leave their shop with torn CV boots so instead of giving me any options even the option to tow the car home they repaired the CV boot axle bearings and came up with an additional $1,600 in fees you want to feel comfortable when you go to a repair shop but it seems like these guys just are like most of the mechanics out there trying to pull one over on the customer they even got evicted from their shop in West Hartford so they're not there anymore it seems like a big drawn-out legal battle from what it said in the papers everyone has their day in court but I wouldn't risk with all the negative reviews up here that's what this site is for and making your own decision so read these reviews along with the other negative reviews and make your own choice
