But one fine day out of the blue we noticed a crack in the windshield of our 2015 Subaru. It looked like an impact from a pebble that spread diagonally upward about a foot long. We called our insurance company on May 1, confirmed our glass coverage, and were offered the option to choose our own repair vendor or go through them and their relationship with Safelite. We chose the latter and were scheduled for the windshield replacement on May 7. After that, communication was never a problem with Safelite. They contacted us through seven e-mails and twelve texts with (imbedded document links) over the next ten days. The communications covered appointment confirmations, confirmation requests, reminders, one appointment change, completion notification, bill review, and a certificate of re-calibration for the windshield related electronics, cameras, etc. We dropped the car off on May 11 and were given the option to hang out in their K-Cup equipped waiting room or come back later. The estimated time period for the work was 2-3 hours. We decided to leave the car and went to lunch at Parkville Market. About an hour later, they texted us and said the work was completed. Our technician, Benjamin, was professional, helpful, and friendly. Safelite took good care of us.

Probably the worst dealer I have ever been to this dealer did multiple repairs on my vehicle…read morewithout even asking me they came up with a crazy price and held my car hostage. When I asked them to see any paperwork on anything they played dumb I mean no repair estimates not even a work order I brought it in for a simple tire repair and they said that they had to repair the axles because it was unsafe for me to drive in the state of Connecticut and that they legally couldn't let my car leave their shop with torn CV boots so instead of giving me any options even the option to tow the car home they repaired the CV boot axle bearings and came up with an additional $1,600 in fees you want to feel comfortable when you go to a repair shop but it seems like these guys just are like most of the mechanics out there trying to pull one over on the customer they even got evicted from their shop in West Hartford so they're not there anymore it seems like a big drawn-out legal battle from what it said in the papers everyone has their day in court but I wouldn't risk with all the negative reviews up here that's what this site is for and making your own decision so read these reviews along with the other negative reviews and make your own choice
