Every time I try to give these guys my service, they have an issue. 1st time scheduled appt, left car there half a day, and they call stating they don't have my glass, rescheduled another day. 2nd Visit, they want to give a camera calibration charge even though it is not required for my vehicle, extra $300+. Other glass places, including the manufacturer of my vehicle, allow you to opt out via a waiver. Rain sensing windshield wipers is not a needed calibration; don't let them BS you. They keep my vehicle half the day and then tell me there are Error codes upon accepting my vehicle for repair. No codes or lights in my car. Have them show you real time the codes, as I went to the dealership and there were no codes. Lazy douche doesn't want to work on my vehicle. I scheduled a chip repair on my windshield. I scheduled it for 11 o'clockon a Friday. I showed up a half hour early. They took my truck 10 minutes later. Excellent work. The tech created a bigger crack than was there by "throwing the crack," in his words and said it would disappear "within days of the repair." Safelite has had my car since 9:30 AM and has yet to start working on it. At noon, I received a call stating that due to the weather, the technician would begin replacing the windshield and that I had the option to get the repair done first and return later for the calibration. The technician assured me that he was starting on my car immediately. However, at 1:00 PM, I received another call informing me that just as he was about to begin, his manager instructed him not to proceed due to safety concerns. When I questioned why my car was only now being worked on, despite the earlier assurance, I was told that his manager had sent him to lunch. I've been to this location before. Made an appointment online and on the day of traffic was lighter than I thought so I was running early. I called to see if I could get an earlier appointment as I couldn't go online to modify my appointment. She checked and told me I could come a half hour earlier which was perfect. I parked my car and checked in at the front desk. Gave her my keys and they drove my car into the work area. The technician came to ask me to show him where the chip in the windshield was. I did and was informed that the chip was nothing to worry about. That was a relief. The process was smoother with an appointment made online instead of trying to walk in. My SUV got a small crack on the windshield recently. I was referred to Safelite by an acquaintence. I arrived 12 minutes past, yes 12 minutes past 3:15 and was given the riot act by what appeared to be the manager on duty, and was told that I would have to reschedule because I would be creating a snowball effect for customers scheduled at 4PM. This place is awesome, along with the staff! I booked my appointment 2 weeks in advance and they constantly gave me reminders. I worked with the technician Colby, he was very informative & nice. He called me when they started on my car and called me about an issue with my wiper blades (without selling me a product). They installed my rear view mirror, added weather trim around my windshield and did an amazing job. The price was firm and I got $60 off my first time. I had scheduled an AM appointment for Saturday 11/19/2022. The employee working the desk during dropoff informed me that it would be an all day appointment. After receiving no updates throughout the day, I called at 2pm for a status update. The employee told me my vehicle was in the bay being worked on as we speak and would be done shortly. After 2 more hours with no update, I went back to the location and found my truck still in the parking lot untouched despite them guaranteeing it being done by 5pm. (It was 4:10pm) While waiting for an employee to assist me at the front desk I could see through the window into the shop and observed 2 total vehicles inside. 1 tech was working on one of the vehicles and 4 other techs standing in a circle doing nothing with at least 4 empty bays. I told the employee at the front desk I just wanted my vehicle and would go somewhere else for a windshield. He gave me my keys without any attempt at an apology or explanation for the fact that I went an entire day without my vehicle for nothing. Would give 0 stars if possible read more

Holy God was this the worst company ever to try and call in to talk to customer service. They have the automated machine that asks for why you are calling before they connect you to someone. But they only give a few options to choose from. When you say one of their options they say "hmm we we are still working on that, check the website" they constantly push you to the website to the point they said "go to our website and talk to a representative" like THATS WHAT'S IM CALLING FOR!! Windshield install was very professional and no signs of a new windshield BUT the calibration of the ADAS system wasn't done, or done correctly, because the speeds on the HUD are off by 5mph or it doesn't read signs at all. They have stopped responding to me and won't honor the warranty! read more

Made a appointment over the phone for 2 small cracks in my windshield and got a appointment pretty fast. Upon arriving I realized I only had 1 crack not 2 so of course I thought the price would be less than quoted over the phone(it wasn't which was strange and annoying). However, I mentioned it to them and they ended up not charging me to fix the crack when I went to pay. I felt bad because no one should work for free but that's a honest and great business practice. Also, the job they did on the crack was a lot better then going to other non glass specialty shops. I have done that and the results were not nearly as good. This shop is pricier than some other places but you get what you pay for. I will definitely recommend this place and will go back in the future!! read more

I got my windshield replaced through my warranty which went through Safelite. I have worked with this particular Safelite before when I got my window replaced with my previous car and had a great experience overall, nothing stellar or above and beyond but still a great experience. When I got my windshield replaced this time, because of my newer vehicle the windshield was not in stock and needed to be shipped here. It took some time however Safelite was very communicative with me letting me know updates on when to expect it which was so courteous of them. Finally got here and replaced it which they were able to do pretty quickly! I picked it up the same evening and drove home. The next day, I was driving and sprayed some washer fluid onto my car and realized my wipers didn't work. I planned to call them later that day but Safelite beat me to it and my technician called letting me know he forgot to put back a piece of my vehicle. However, he came out to me to my job so he could quickly fix it! Overall, both experiences I've had here have been great and nothing really to complain about! I would recommend this place! read more

I dropped off my Audi S6 for windshield replacement on July 17. The car was in perfect working order that morning and has been since I have owned it. Approximately 15 minutes later a tech went out to my car in the parking lot, started it and drove it into a bay to begin work. Obviously the car worked fine at that point. I then leave for the day. The Safelite tech called me an hour later to tell me that my car would not start after they plugged their equipment into the diagnostics port for pre-calibration of the camera. The manager, Chris Newman, took no direct responsibility nor offered any solution at that time so I was left with no choice other than to pay to tow the car to an Audi dealership for troubleshooting. After 2 weeks, said Audi dealership was unable to determine the cause of the issue, and the car still will not start. I then paid to tow the car to an independent Audi repair shop who started their troubleshooting process and found after two weeks that mechanically the car was in perfect shape, however the ECM (Engine Control Module) had been adversely affected by the non-OEM equipment used at Safelite. The internal programming had been essentially scrambled and they were unable to communicate correctly with the ECM. The required fix is to special order a new ECM from Audi that is programmed to my car's specific VIN. The cost of this diagnostic process and the new ECM is in excess of $3600, this in addition to the $1400 I have already paid out of pocket in towing expenses and paying the Audi dealership fee. I am now at 5 weeks without the use of my car. There is no doubt at this time that this issue was caused by Safelite and their equipment. In order to get the special order ECM, payment must be made up front to the repair shop. I am now requesting that safelite pay for expenses going forward and reimburse me for my expenses so far in addition to lost use of my vehicle. Safelite branch manager has now expressed that they will not be taking responsibility for the damage to the ECM. read more

I had to have someone come to my house to change out my cracked windshield (I have five people I am the caregiver for in my home) and this was who my auto insurance wanted me to set it up with. I am pleased with their choice! I did have to fit it into my calendar so it took almost two weeks to find a mutual time that would work out, but that is not their fault.
