We are so pleased with our project! We converted our garage into a 1200sq ft, 2-story ADU with 3 BR & 2.5BA, and it came out beautifully! Our contractor, Daniel, of Safe Side Builders was extremely communicative from the day I first inquired about starting the project through project completion. He has lots of energy and you can tell he is passionate about his work. We also enjoyed working with our foreman Genaro and architect Christos. They were all professional, easy to interact with and communicate our needs and preferences to, and just all around good people, which was important when embarking on a journey of working together daily for close to a year from permit approval to final inspection approval. Any delays in our project were primarily while awaiting city permit approvals for the initial design and changes we later made to the plans that better suited our family's needs and aesthetics. Safeside Builders was always prompt, efficient, and worked swiftly to completed its parts in the project. They also have many reliable subcontractor recommendations, some of which we used, but they respected and encouraged working with our own subcontractors when we preferred to. Although this was not the cheapest estimate we received for the project, we saw their work in person and moved forward with this company because we were impressed by the quality of their work and materials, as well as testimonials from other customers. We have already recommended Safe Side to family and friends for their design and construction needs and they have reported back that they are very pleased as well. Many thanks to Daniel and Safe Side for turning a dream into a reality. read more

Daniel Alon was recommended by a friend & he didn't disappoint! In my head, I knew exactly what I wanted for my bathroom & through trials & tribulations, he and his team helped me realize exactly what I pictured. When I called Daniel, he came out immediately & had a quote within a day. A lot of contractors won't even respond to a request to just renovate a bathroom. I got such a good vibe from his responsiveness & positivity that I didn't even get any other quotes. Throughout the process, Sabino, Jenaro (?) and Chui arrived on time and did everything with a smile, as did their tiler, Choco. And they really know what they are doing. When I freaked out because I realized I didn't like the bench tiles I picked out, they gave me options & calmed me down. They'd always give me their honest opinion, and they answered my zillion questions along the way. In fact, Daniel encouraged me to ask questions. Even once the job was finished (and paid for), when there were a couple of things I didn't love, they came back to fix them. I absolutely loved everything about working with Daniel - his responsiveness/communication (what contractor returns every call, text or email promptly - even if it's to say he's in a meeting but will call me in a bit), his encouragement & reassurance (don't worry - you spend every day in there - let's make sure you get the beautiful bathroom you want), and the competency, friendliness and reliability of his entire team! I just can't rave enough.... take a look at the photos - gorgeous!!!!!!!!! read more

Reliable, Professional and High Quality Work. My go-to contractor for projects big and small. I cannot say enough about how responsive, reliable, and professional owner Daniel and his crew are. Daniel responded to my inquiries with a hour or two and was able to come and assess project needs within a day. He has been able to get a crew to start the repairs as early as within a few days. He takes all jobs seriously, even small repairs. They may not always be the lowest bid, but I can count on the quality of work, responsiveness to issues and reliability. We had a couple of emergency plumbing leaks this year and had to break the drywall and ceiling to repair the leaks. I called Daniel for the repairs. I got a quote quickly and he delivered exactly as quoted. His crew arrived on time as scheduled, laid down protection materials carefully and cleaned up debris when done. Both times, his crew finished the repairs in a day and finished painting the second day. They matched the existing paint perfectly, blending is excellent. One of the walls has a textured surface and only part of the wall needed repair. Daniel's crew did a great job recreating the texture look, it blended in so well. Looks just like the original. Last winter, high winds cause some damage to my roof and Daniel's crew came quickly to repair and replace the shingles. Daniel is a very experienced contractor and has good and practical solutions to offer. He is my go-to person for any work in the house and I highly recommend them. I have recommended them to friends. One of my friends had major remodel work done at her house and condo (exterior concrete paving, windows, skylight, flooring, kitchen). She is extremely happy with the work. I highly recommend them. Very happy with the work and the service. read more

Daniel Alon/Safe Side Builders came highly recommended by a friend. Of the people I interviewed he came in at the most reasonable price. He was very responsive from the first phone call to the final day of the project. He completely updated my entire condo (2 1/2 baths, refinished kitchen cabinets, new counters, paint, ceiling fans - you name it). He checked in daily and responded immediately if I reached out. He came in on time and mostly on budget. There were a few overages of things we couldn't have known until starting and things I added along the way. He took all requests and delays from HOA in stride. I would definitely use Daniel and his crew again. And I would definitely recommend them. read more

Daniel and his team did an amazing job on our home remodel. He stayed within budget and stuck right on his timeline. Every suggestion he made was spot on, and the quality of his work was excellent. We will definitely be using him again for future work! read more

We recently completed a large remodel project with Safe Side Builders including a main bathroom remodel, a guest bath remodel and new LVT flooring for our first floor and we could not be more happy with the project or results!!! As both my wife and I are both working from home due to the pandemic, it was important that we work with a contractor who would be sensitive to our schedules and accommodating that we were still staying in our home during construction. After initially interviewing three different contractors, we made a decision to go with Safe Side. During our initial meeting with Safe Side, we made a really great connection with Daniel and felt he was 100% aligned with our goals and needs. Daniel provided a very fair quote and was very honest about the expected project duration and clear on project deliverables. Before the project started, Safe Side was extremely thorough with providing our list of deliverables and overall was excellent with pre-work/planning. Daniel personally came to our home 4 or 5 times to walk his different teams through job before even starting. Throughout the project, Daniel was very responsive and always available via text or a conversation. Daniel checked in often to give status and update on the remodel. We were never in the dark on where we were in the project and always knew what to expect next. This was very important to us and helped us feel at ease throughout the remodel. Daniel listened to our feedback and concerns along the way and was very flexible, even making changes mid-project to make sure we were happy. He treated our home like it was his home and made many great recommendations that went above and beyond our expectations. He provided valuable suggestions and recommendations but left it to us to decide and never pushed one way or the other (although he always had a solid opinion and excellent rationale). Equally, we were very impressed with Safe Side's excellent subcontractors. They were all very neat, polite, easy to work with and followed all COVID protocols. During the project, Daniel was present onsite often even if just for a half-hour to check in. He never hesitated to come over when we needed to discuss something even though the drive was sometimes over an hour. He felt very "present" through the whole project. Safe Side was very organized when it came to bookkeeping and billing. They always explained where we were in the project, what payment they were collecting for and made sure to mark both their invoices and ours so we also were tracking. At the end, the project was completed in the time frame that had initially been promised and the work was outstanding. The photos speak for themselves but definitely exceeded our expectations! Overall Safe Side was easy to work with and made the project super easy to live (and work) through. Most importantly, we absolutely love the final product and highly recommend Daniel and Safe Side for any construction project! read more

We were doing a partial bathroom renovation, replacing tile, painting, replacing the vanity, pretty straightforward. I had met with four other contractors at this point, and the estimates were VASTLY spread out, and many were vague or just a lump sum estimate without scope of work details. Then came Daniel and SafeSide. He listened to what we wanted, and even made suggestions that saved us money. His estimate was very well priced, and listed each element we spoke about in detail. We immediately felt comfortable with him and his crew. They worked very clean, protecting surfaces and keeping supplies organized by the end of each day. Daniel's guys showed up right when they promised, and he stayed on budget. He worked with us to complete the project within our timeline, too. He communicates very clearly and is very responsive to both text messages and calls. Daniel even personally showed up to check in every day, sometimes multiple times throughout! We absolutely recommend Daniel and will be keeping in touch for future projects in coming years. read more

When my mother in law decided it was time to renovate her old house, we were all nervous about the process and cost it was going to take to redo the kitchen and bathroom, floors, and paint . We did the research and luckily found Daniel and saw all his great reviews and felt safe in knowing he is a licensed contractor. He not only listened to what we wanted but also made suggestions of his own, such as needing a new roof and ac system that was much needed after so many years. I've heard a lot of bad stories about contractors taking too long or being hard to get a hold of because they take on too many jobs but that was not our experience. Daniel is available via all avenues lol (email, phone, face time , text message) and pretty much all hours and days. He responds quickly and works fast . No need to worry with him , you get your money's worth and I must say the pictures speak for themselves thank you ! read more

I've been using Daniel for a few years now and he has quickly become my "Go to" for any and all repairs. I own a 6 unit property and I have used him for all of my repairs and upgrades. He has repaired water leaks, kitchen remodeling, bathroom flooring, exterior painting of the building, replacement of sliding doors, he even removed the popcorn ceiling and installed recessed lighting. He is efficient, fairly priced and professional. I highly recommend for whatever your needs. I couldn't be happier! read more

We received this as a referral from someone we didn't really know so We weren't sure if Daniel and his company would be a good fit for us or not. That said we are so impressed with the professionalism of communication and the professionalism of the work we had done. We had some issues with drainage in our yard. Daniel was quick to respond, honest, and didn't encourage us to spend more than we needed to. The work was done with great showmanship and was done more quickly than we expected. We will definitely use him again! read more

Really appreciated that Daniel and crew gave as much attention to our small job of opening up a wall in our kitchen as they would have given full remodel. End result looks great, they were quick to complete the work before we moved in and were able to work around the many other projects going on at the same time. read more

We recently remodeled our kitchen with the help of Safe Side Builders. Our kitchen remodeling was a complete remodel that included all the upper and lower cabinets, sink, island and new hardwood floor. During the remodeling process Dainel was polite and an expert. He was on time at the house each day, worked around the set budget and made sure that no matter what, the work will be on schedule while ensuring that we were all in agreement with the designs and plans before any work was done! read more

Daniel and his crew worked long and hard on completing a remodel for a friend of mine. They went to great lengths in getting the work done according to the scheduled time for completion. Daniel went above and beyond in providing samples of materials to choose from, and offered his professional opinion on decor. Our garage started leaking after the days-long rain in early January. A neighbor had recommended Safe Side Builders because she was happy with her experience with them installing a new roof on her house last year. I called them and the owner, Daniel, came over within an hour to inspect and make recommendations. After considering our options, we chose to have a new roof installed on the garage. Daniel and his crew started the next day and the whole process took about a week with inspections. Daniel and his hard-working crew were professional with great customer service skills. Daniel came by with the crew in the morning and he also came again at the end of the day. (Several times he came by during the day as well.). He was responsive to calls and texts. Overall, they did excellent work and we would definitely use them again for future home projects. read more

Great company to hire! Daniel worked with us on our remodeling project that included paint, remove a wall, build a closet and install recessed lights in our kitchen. All the work was completed in a timely fashion and with great quality. We have no complaints for any of the staff that was involved at our project. They all did a wonderful job learning our needs, requests and budget. During the work process, all of our concerns were addressed professionally. read more

Daniel and his crew were awesome. We had multiple problems with leaks and holes in the roof all at once as well old dilapidated insulation. They came in and dealt with everything in a few days and took all the needed safety precautions. Daniel personally climbed on the roof and went into attics to ensure jobs were done properly. He also discovered a leaking pipe in our crawl space and devised a clever way to access it that was way beyond the call. I would call Safe Side for any general contracting need we have in the future. read more

Daniel and his entire team worked diligently on our office construction and remodel. We had an extremely tight turnaround of 1 month and a half. Despite delays due to COVID-19 and inevitable delivery setbacks, Daniel delivered his services in a timely manner to meet our deadline. He was patient with our changes as our project developed and was flexible with us every step of the way. I cannot recommend his business enough- they are kind, hard working, and prioritize their clients every step of the way. We look forward to utilizing their services for more projects in the future! - Provinziano & Associates Team. read more

Daniel was great to work with. He explained the entire process, he didnt pressure me into anything (which is my pet peeve). After comparing him with others we decided to go with him, not because he was the cheapest (although he was very competitive) but because we felt he would give us the best service. That was more important to us. And he did, he gave us great service. Always responsive. Answered calls and texts. Answered all our questions. I HIGHLY recommend Daniel and his crew. Very nice guys. read more

We hired Safe Side Builders after we saw the great repair work they had done for our HOA on a balcony leak and subsequent damage. We hired them to convert a closet into a laundry room and new kitchen quartz counters/backsplash and sink. The experience from start to finish has been great. Daniel, the owner, is consistently responsive to any questions or concerns we had. He walked us through the scope of work and budget beforehand and, most importantly, stayed within budget. He made helpful suggestions and offered his ideas without being pushy, and his prices were fair, particularly for the quality of work performed. The end product was beautiful and best of all, they completed the work within his timeframe. The people who work with Daniel are terrific, efficient, talented, prompt and courteous. Rather than sitting around wondering when the crew or Daniel would be here, they would be one step ahead of us, arriving for work early and staying til the work was done. I also appreciated the fact that Daniel and all of his crew were very cognizant and respectful of the fact we have two small children, and worked around them. Our toddler son loves many of the workers he met and was fascinated by the work they performed. The end product was terrific and has led to additional jobs in our small 7 unit building and further work with the HOA. We will be hiring them again soon. read more

We hired Safe Side Builders to replace our wooden fence and two gates. Daniel, the owner, was always available to answer any questions we had throughout the one week process. His construction crew were all incredibly diligent and professional and I was continuously impressed by their tremendous work ethic. My husband and I were looking for a company to build a 2-story ADU (guest house) for us. After vetting a number of construction companies we chose Safe Side Builders Inc. because they were recommended to us by a close relative who had his guest house also built by them and was very happy with their workmanship and the overall outcome. Our ADU turned out to be about 1000 sq. feet. Daniel and his crew helped us with this project from start to finish, all the way from the architecture plan to the installation of the finished materials. They built the bathrooms, did the tiling, flooring, kitchen, landscaping, staircase, balcony, A/C unit, and even made our ADU a smart home, which was an unexpected bonus. Daniel and his crew were very on top of the project and were always there if we had any questions or concerns along the way. We were most pleased that the pricing never changed from what was agreed upon originally! As many people may know this is not always the case and we in the past have had bad experiences with other companies changing the pricing on us as the construction progressed. Overall, we were very happy with the job Daniel did for us and would (and already have) highly recommend Safe Side Builders Inc to anyone in need of a construction job. read more
