I waited all day and no one showed up and what makes it even worse is that despite my speaking with the estimator and he assuring me that all would be taken care of, they are now saying that this was a favor (unfrigginbelieveable) and was not part of the original work. If you have a small job, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, the miscommunication, lack of respect and blatant lies were impossible. I just told them to forget it. I have decided to work/pay another company to try and solve the same leak that was supposed to have been fixed several times becasue it is better than dealing with them again.

The extra problem was to find a contractor and get the work started remotely as we couldn't be there by ourselves. We got a couple recommendations from Facebook groups and decided to reach out. One company had great reviews and looked legitimate but they were booked for the following 2 weeks. We couldn't wait for this long. The second recommended company was Rooftop Tech. I was initially skeptical because they had very few reviews on Yelp and I really like to rely on Yelp when it comes to finding something trustworthy. At the same time the company came well recommended, so we decided to give it a try. They responded to my request pretty quickly and were able to send someone to estimate the costs on the same day. That was a weekend, so I was really grateful they were able to do that. The estimate came on the same evening and the numbers looked well within our budget. They offer one year warranty on their service, so I was relieved that we won't have to pay again if something happens to the part they repaired. I also liked the fact that they are licensed and insured. We were able to sign the contract the next morning and they came the day after to start the repairs. Turned out that only a small part of the roofing had to be replaced, hence the project was completed on the same day. I was pleased to receive pics of the work in progress and when it was finished, so it was almost like I was there to watch it happen. They also gave me a recommendation on a contractor who could do some quick interior painting to remediate the consequences of the leak. I'm so excited we decided to use Rooftop Tech for the roof repair. It turned out to be such a pleasant experience and the most important thing - the roof is fixed and not leaking! All in just 3 days.

The work itself was unacceptable -- the stucco finishing was so poorly done that we had to hire another company to fix and complete it. We were also explicitly told that our recently installed gutter guards would be carefully removed and saved. Instead, they were thrown out, and the company refused to take any responsibility or replace them. Now, six months after the project was completed, we are dealing with water leaks caused by a faulty roof replacement. Rather than honoring their warranty and addressing the issue, the owner continues to delay by repeatedly asking for photos and proof -- despite already sending people to inspect the problem in person. Communication throughout the process was extremely frustrating. The owner, Eugene, consistently relied on inaccurate information from his workers instead of listening to us directly, which led to constant disputes and unnecessary stress. It became clear he had no intention of being personally involved or resolving the issues. Overall, this experience has been costly, time-consuming, and incredibly disappointing. Between the broken promises, poor workmanship, and lack of follow-through, I cannot recommend this company under any circumstances. Eugene refused to own up to anything in our original contract, and after poor work, turned this entire experience into a problem that costed us another 10K.

Their loss and I will now always be calling Sean and ARR for repairs ( even though my garbage HOA should have to repair the roof since it is a shared roof). When I called Sean he was very professional and was able to come out within the 24 hours to see what needed to be done. He showed up on time and was very thorough. He provided me with a fair estimate, and detailed everything that needed to be done and why. After accepting the estimate, we scheduled the repair job, which was within the next 48 hours. I had an excellent experience with both Luis and the entire Canopy team. Luis took the time to meet with me in person and make sure I saw all of the tile colors and samples before making my decision. He was communicative and responsive throughout the entire process, the end result was perfect, and the price was very reasonable. Recently, I had a leak coming from an area under a flat roof that Canopy had not installed. I contacted the roofer who had done that portion of the roof to help diagnose and fix the issue, but unfortunately had a very frustrating experience (which I reviewed separately). I immediately called Luis to see if he could offer any advice or point me in the right direction. Luis answered the phone right away and, almost THREE years later, remembered me and addressed me by name. Even though this wasn't a part of the roof Canopy had installed--and they don't even do TPO flat roofs--Luis immediately offered to come to my house and help me figure out what was going on.
