I had checked the drainage hoses and it wasn't connected but to reconnect I would have had to remove the whole dash. Needless to say, as an amateur I couldn't do it, but thought if the window were off it could be done. Len and his crew were marvellous, yes the window is done and looks great, price was good too, but the best is they figured out the drainage issue and solved it in a very novel way.

I was driving on burilington street in Hamilton and saw my truck at a place called parkdale spring. when I went inside I did not say it was my truck and asked what they do here. they said everything but mostly spring work which was what my truck was in need of and at metro for. I asked if they do a lot of work for metro and they said yes they drop off trucks here all the time. if u are a business and cannot do the work like metro cant do here tell me don't charge me what ever some one else does and mark it up. Went to MC Auto ad asked if they do A/C. Was told yes. The man looked at the problem, which was…read morenoise coming from the compressor, and told me that it was no good. I told him I could get a used one from the wreckers. He said okay and we arranged for him to install it. After having done so the cold air stopped after 5-10 minutes. When I went back to them, he told me that he didn't flush the system but "sucked out" the old freon and that dirt was clogging the accumulator and to give it a few days to see if things improved. I did, things didn't. When I went back to him about this he told me I should have changed the accumulator when I changed the compressor but that doing so with a used compressor wouldn't be advisable. I asked him why, when I asked him if he did A/C work, he didn't didn't me about this, he hid behind the excuse that "I only do labour", "You didn't give me a new one to put on", and that "people don't want to spend the amount of money to put new ones on." I told him why would I want to pay for work that would not provide me with A/C and why would I want to have work done that would only see me doing the work over again?

Earlier this year I brought to him my beloved Roadmaster Wagon ('93) for a certification check...the frame was cracked and a long list of other repairs indicated it would need to go to the great scrapyard in the sky (though I understand in fact they end up on freighters to Africa) - he had spent a good hour checking it out, but felt so badly for me that he refused to charge me a dime. She could really use some…read moretraining in customer service- this was the opposite of being helpful, and really this is an expensive option for calling a random business off the street (versus taking your car to a dealership), you would think they would put a bit more emphasis on being customer service oriented. I can not wait around for a 4 hour appointment on-site, rather than just taking my car for drop off at the dealership. Appointment availability was not great. It would probably be better if they could offer shorter appointment lengths and online booking so you could fit it into your calendar (if yours is a busy one like mine). Oh well, too bad it didn't work out but it is not worth the effort of trying to email back and forth fitting a 4 hour appointment with no guarantee of service like a dealership, for the same price.
