Ordered Thule aeroblades+basket and had it professionally installed. Easy communication, fair pricing, staff was switched on and knew their products well and their compatibility with vehicles. Install was done by a knowledgable tech who did a great job, he just forgot to wipe down the bottom of the vehicles door well from using it as a step for installation, as quite a bit of mud was left behind to be cleaned. I'll still give these guys 5stars, I definitely recommend their services. read more

Rack Attack is the go to place in Toronto for all kinds of car racks, transport boxes and bags and various types of luggage. The first summer I was living in Toronto, I found Rack Attack and have been going there ever since (almost 13 years). They're located at Eglinton and Laird and there is no real street parking in front, there are a few spots in the back but you have to squeeze between the buildings.. Today I went in to look at a Thule or Yakima cargo bag as the family is heading out on a long road trip this summer and I found that these bags are probably more ideal and cost efficient than a whole box system. These bags have almost the same amount of cargo space as a box, are about one-third the price and fold up neatly when they're done. So off to Rack Attack I go to check out a Thule bag. I get to the showroom and there is everything but these bags out on display (or so i looks like). I ask the sales person if she could grab me a bag to look at before I purchase it and a few minutes later she brings back two options to choose from. We start to open one of the bags from the box and then a guy on the phone pipes up that I can't open the box or take out the bag to look at it because he can't then sell it as "new" to an online customer... really? I get a bit heated and the guy just digs in further into this ridiculous policy about not being able to look at the item before I purchase it. I have an idea, maybe I'll buy this thing and then if I don't like it, I'll return it if it doesn't work for me, so I ask about the return policy...15 days with a 15% restocking fee.... really? Yup..Again another heated discussion, the bag I'm looking at is $250 so 15% is about $40 as soon as I take this item out of the box (it could even be in the store)... I ask if the policy is the same for one of the many boxes or racks in the display area.. Yup. I'm now going ballistic, if there hadn't been another customer in the display room (who was also interested in a bag) I might have done something I'd have regretted later. I ask if he's the manager... nope... I ask to see the manager.... he goes to the back, returns and then asks me what I want to see (no manager ever comes to the front)... he seems much calmer, so am I.. we discuss the item and in the end, I decide that I'm not going to spend any money at Rack Attack on anything ever again. Shortly after leaving the store, I jump on Kijji and see if someone has one of these items for sale... guess what, an almost identical item for $90 about 30 minutes North of me. I go there, pay the guy, it's still in the box and has never been used... the seller won it in a golf tourney raffle. Well Rack Attack, I got my Thule bag for a third of the price you wanted me to pay and if you had a bag on display or hadn't had such ridiculous purchase and return policies I might have paid that... now I'll never step foot in your shop again. And I've told this story already to at least 3 people... who didn't even know you existed but will now NEVER shop at your store. So if you're looking for bike rack, storage box or installation thereof, they do that well at Rack Attack, just don't make a mistake and purchase the wrong item because as soon as you do, you're screwed or selling it to me on Kijji... I had a difficult situation with a product that I bought on Amazon and they worked tirelessly to make it work for me but in the end, I had to return it. Unfortunately my Toyota dealer in Toronto uses this company to supply them with racks and trailer hitches,My first visit they were unsure about the mounting hardware required to mount the rack to my 2017 Toyota Tacoma, They informed me they had to contact Thule. They confirmed everything would be fine. I was informed from my dealer that the rack and hardware had arrived and was ready for my pick up, I was very disappointed to find the mounting hardware was silver and the rack was black.When I questioned this I was told the black mounting hardware kit was not available. When i got home i contacted Thule or TracRac and in a matter of of minutes customer service provided me with the part number for the black mounting kit. oddly enough Rack Attack Toronto had it in stock. i made arrangements to pick it up, no apologises in fact they blamed the website of the manufacture. My advise to Rack Attack Toronto A little less BS to your clients and a a lot more training for your staff in product knowledge instead of blaming your suppliers website. Even with the dealerships discount, Amazon Canada was still a lot cheaper. Think twice about trusting Rack Attack for their advise or product knowledge Blair Toronto. read more

They tried their best to answer every question we had; if they didn't know the answer they consulted their other colleagues and then looked on the Internet till they found an answer. Called this store to ask about mounting a second hand cargo box and the employee on the phone was very helpful and patient with my inquiry. He answered my questions clearly and was very knowledgeable! I went to the store two days later and the same person helped us with our purchase (he remembered my phone call!). We had excellent advice, excellent service and pleasant and positive attention to our interests and needs as we purchased and waited for the installation of Yakima roof racks and A Thule rear bike rack for our 2016 Honda CRV. Couldn't have been more pleasant. And bonus there is a great fish and chip restaurant just to the south of the Laird store. read more

Two visits to Rack Attack: both a success. The first was routine: needed a Thule fit-kit. Done. Yesterday, however, I went in there with my poorly removed bike racks, which were missing a couple of parts. One of the gents at R.A. came out to my car, figured out the missing parts, gave them to me for free, and helped me get the bike racks re-installed. He refused my offers to pay for parts and/or service. I'm soooo happy. They just guaranteed my loyalty. read more

Bought a Yakima roof rack system from these guys. They shipped promptly but sent 3 left hand side landing pads and 1 right. When I called to tell them they messed up my order they said I needed to ship the item back to them and then they would send me a new one but that the return shipping would be paid by me. What kind of company makes you pay for their mistakes? They weren't even slightly apologetic. :( read more
