I received their flyer drove to the store picked up a pair of 1,750lb 4-leaf double eye trailer spring for $29.99 as advertised on sale March 12th to March 24th over 20 units on the shelf got to the cashier charged almost $117 told the cashier it's on sale and showed the flyer was told that item is not there anymore. I was wondering if there are two different kind of 4-leafs springs and it's a gimmick to get customers in the store and charge the higher price,I guess a lot of customers will be very disappointed for going there from March 16th to March 24th and told that the 4-leafs springs are not the ones on sale I surely wasted a good hour and 15 minutes of my time going there to be told that that item is not available very very disappointed in Princess auto advertising an item and not having it in stock after 4 days of a 13 days sale. read more

I went to this store to purchase a die grinder I required for a small job at home . I have purchased tools and other hardware items from this store many times. It's a great store with an amazing selection of tools and other items at great prices that are hard to beat anywhere else. They also have an amazing no questions asked return policy , just a great store Service 4/5 the service all depends who you get this last time I got a guy who was to lazy to look into the computer to look for item i was looking for and eventually just walked away so this incident it was terrible customer service ,but that gas not always been the case . I don't know why there aren't more of these everywhere. I think the name is kinda misleading though. It's more like Tool Depot, or Canadian Tire... on crack. It's probably the worst place in the world for me to be cause I always end up getting a bunch of stuff when I come in. They have one of the most extensive tool selections for random things I've ever seen. My only vise with them is that they usually don't sell singles of certain things (ie. no single 5/16 hex socket bit). Now don't think this place is just for tools either. We're talking electrical cords, rakes, shovels, remote controls... I swear, it's like the better dollar store... that sells less decorations. Probably the best and worst part of this store is their bargain section. It has things like screwdriver sets and such for less than 3 dollars. It's the worst because I always get something there I may or may not need.... Whatever... for 3 dollars I need it. read more

Too much princess and not enough auto. I have no problem with women working in auto places. I would have the same complaint if it was a dude who didn't know the basics. With a name like Princess Auto you would think they would have power steering fluid or engine stop leak. But no. Both times I went there I asked the staff and for the power steering fluid the lady looked all over the store with me after I had already looked and not found it. She then asked 2 other associates and they looked stunned. It's like they never heard of it. She told me that whenever she needs something she always goes to Part Source because they have a better selection of products. I did notice that there was wd40 in 4 different places in the store. Lol The second time I was looking for engine oil stop leak and the lady kept asking me if I was looking for oil or 2 cycle oil. She had no clue what I was talking about. After she went and asked someone else she told me that they don't carry anything like that. I still don't think she even knew what I was looking for bI guess Princess Auto is a little too princess and not enough auto. read more

Princess Auto clueless about why the delivery did not take place. My worst customer experience. Cancelled order, better to pay more somewhere else and get delivery on time. Terrible processing times. I placed an online in-store pick up order over the weekend. On the flyer it says same-day pick up for online orders. I wait Monday, then call them on Tuesday and Wednesday. My order was "still processing" and the person said that it'll be ready by the end of the week. What takes long to grab a can of refrigerant and a hose piece? A toddler can grab those things faster than these employees at Princess Auto! Would not recommend you placing an in-store pick up order. Just walk-in yourself. read more

Placed an order online for a sale item. I hadn't seen my confirmation email right away, so I called customer service to ensure my order went through. They found my order and supplied me with the order number and said everything was fine, I could wait for a pick up email. I did get another email, but only to tell me they made a mistake, they were out of inventory now, so my order would be cancelled. No attempt was made to rectify the problem, and no alternative was given other than to purchase any other items I may be interested in. Horrible customer service. A reputable company will fix their mistakes. Princess Auto clearly isn't a reputable company. I won't be spending any more money there, I suggest you do the same. read more

GREAT VALUES ON SURPLUS AND EXPENDABLES. I bought a backup gas water pump off them on a great deal. The problem was I need a spark plug the next year and they don't stock them. Had to waste a lot of time trying to locate a spark plug. So some things great value deals ,others strange that they don't have spark plugs for things they sell all the time. I visited this location for a return, and will be basing my review based on that. Customer service so-so, where-in I entered the store from what I believed to be the front of the store. I waited in a rather long line at the check-out, as I didn't see any specific place in the store for returns. There was only one cashier on duty, so when it came to be my turn in line, the cashier asked me to step aside and wait (what I was waiting for, it wasn't quite clear). Eventually, the cashier told me that I could go to the other set of cash registers, as there were more cashiers there on duty, so I'd get assisted sooner. I therefore got in line at the other part of the storm with the cash registers, where there were 4 cashiers on duty. Eventually when I got to the front of the line, the cashier I got was very friendly and processed my return without any issues. In terms of this chain, I love how they have what appears to be an indefinite return policy ("we're not happy until you are" as they put it). However the way my return was handled appeared rather disorganised. Usually when I go to a return at any store, they have a customer service area and would assist me there. This store appears to be set up a bit more like a Winners store, in that you have to wait in line with the people checking out in other to have a return/exchange processed. I'd probably return to this store only if I needed something from Princess Auto that I couldn't find anywhere else, and I'd be sure to keep an eye for going to the check-out area with the more cashiers at it. Seems like both the location isn't the most convenient for where I frequent, plus their store setup appears a bit disorganised. read more

I was happy to know there was one of these in the GTA. Never looked at their car stuff but i love their surplus area. Went there to get a micro to regular USB cord/charger for my phone. As usual they didn't disappoint - i splurged and got 2 - at $5 each it seemed crazy not to. The last few times I've needed techy stuff I've come here and found what I needed at a good price. This time I didn't walk out with "extras" but this is the type of place you can easily go to get a deal and end up walking out with a ton of stuff you didn't know you needed til you saw it at a "can't leave it behind price". I can get to this location on the way home. The Surplus Area gets more of my attention. Tools are well priced although they may not be as robust as others they tend to be good enough for the project. Other areas include a great selection of tarps both in size but also of quality. The online had given me great deals too. My other locations also have a comparable selection so I don't necessarily make a special trip to this location. read more

Horrible retailer in general Mississauga location especially (Dollarama of Tools) I have been shopping at PA for years and will no longer support this organization. They treat customers like garbage and the majority of the employees that I have spoken with over the years have no insight on the products they sell. Tip of the iceberg... I received their flyer in the mail two days ago and went shopping there today (Saturday) on my day off to pick up a few items that were listed in the flyer. When I got there I realized the sale doesn't start until tomorrow (Sunday) (my mistake). Because I don't live close to a PA location I asked an employee if they would honor the sale prices for me today. The employee didn't know and told me to address this matter at checkout before i pay. I went to the checkout and a manager told me that she can't honor the sale price and was extremely rude. The only thing I could do is buy the product now, then come back during the sale and they would credit the difference... WTF??? They can't just override the price to the sale price? No they can't because thats how they're trained to treat customers, like F*&^%^*% Garbage. This place and its employees need to realize that they wouldn't exist without customers who support their store and purchase their products, it's a simple concept. Any other retailer that I know would always honor a sale price shortly before or after a posted sale date. PA is a joke, I won't shop there anymore, 90% of the products they sell are crap and will brake on you. read more

My go to place for certain tools and products that are either not carried elsewhere, or at an excessive cost at other retailers such as Canadian Tire. I get their flyer in the mail and check on-line for specials. They have helped me built a nice set of tools without breaking the bank. However, not everything they carry that is labelled as a deal is actually a deal (such as, but not limited to, HDMI cables). Some of their in-house power-fist line products are of poor quality, much like jobmate products. It is hit or miss with the power-fist line, but it is usually on par for the job. When something goes wrong (the blades on wire cutters snap without cutting the actual wire...), they will exchange it without issue. It is just a bit out of the way for me to get to, being located at Dixie near Courtney park. Worth checking out if you need tools, car and truck products such as a tow hitch, camping products, etc. read more
